Five Israelis, Five Palestinians in a room, naked.

Woman walks in, flashes a bit of ankle in her burka

Big game of soggy poppadom

Winner gets this fuckin bit of waste land, losers eat the poppadom.

Wouldn't it be soggy falafel in the middle East?

Actually they'd be arguing within five minutes about what product to use and whether it's kosher or halal?

I think the world would safer and more peaceful without any relegion.

I don't

It'd be something else

I'd say most folk who believe in a god or ok, cranks maybe, but certainly not terrorists

The world would probably be safer without many things such as countries, different languages, politics, blacks, gays etc

Even dinosaurs kicked off

Just the way it is

Until the philosophy which hold one race superior
And another inferior
Is finally and permanently
Discredited and abandoned
Everywhere is war

Isn't this a fact though?

Looking at the many atrocities over the last thirty or forty years, yes, I’d say take out the Muslim atrocities and it’d be safer without them.

But wasn’t there a guy in Norway who appeared on a youth camp island and killed many young folk? Many of the US School shootings aren’t Muslim based or the bloke who hired a hotel room in Las Vegas overlooking a pop concert.

The old adage that Not All Muslims Are Terrorists But All Terrorists Are Muslim doesn’t ring true.

Couldn't agree more sir (didn't need the sensationalist last line though. Overkill).

It can't happen but if we could remove Islam, the next cab off the rank for me would be the extreme right and left wing nutters and then the bible bashing zoons in the US who murder abortion clinic workers and the like.

All completely and utterly deranged.

Slightly revisionist (as in slightly, I mean a fucking massive amount) about Islam on this topic, people often overlook the Islamic Golden Age where what we now term Britain was a brutal and backwards place ruled by Thanes whereas the Caliphates were pushing forward their society with things like windmills, the fact that ingrained in their society was cleanliness for public health, whilst it was all mud huts for the commonfolk here.

In this period scientific, artistic and economic developments leapt forward across the Muslim world and was one of the greatest periods of human development the world has seen, building on what the Greeks had developed and moving it massively forward.

Which is why using Islam in and of itself as a reason to condemn countries is massively reductionist and ignores huge amounts of historical global politics - many of which, the UK itself is not without blame. Finger pointing and over simplification leads to further misunderstanding, which leads to further troubles between people. I don't believe Wanderer84 is a racist at all, but he is perhaps guilty of taking a lot at face value and treating it as the only truth there is.

It's all too complicated for our tiny brains folks. We the great unwashed are not qualified to have an opinion based on what our eyes and daily experiences tell us. We are below the salt.

Instead we have to listen to the self-designated clever people provide us with their extensive analysis. All delivered like the sermon from the mount. The analysis leads to exactly the conclusion you'd have imagined it would do before a word was spoken.

Challenge this orthodoxy and you'll be met with a pained expression (as if a bitter lemon has just been consumed) and a furrowed brow. Your views will be labelled anything on a spectrum starting from "dodgy" and ending at "fascist"

The world is an undergraduate essay. It is beyond our comprehension. Listen to the experts. Think what they tell you to think.

If we continue to learn from them, then we should be able to amend our ways, Paul.

Quite ironic how the clever folk tell us re our ancestors living in mud huts whilst many of his chosen religion are still living in such luxurious dwellings, with no running water and have no TV so witness the daily stoning or executions, whilst being brainwashed daily to submit to barbaric fairytale beliefs from many centuries ago, a time where they should be firmly left behind.

It's all over now lads. We can stop talking shite & go back to discussing who we're signing this summer.

Save the generalised Islam & Arab bashing for a year or so when shit hits the fan again.

A year ? God, based on the statistics regarding shit hitting the fan with Islam, you're very optimistic indeed.

I think there’s generally been a lot more Jewish-bashing than Muslim.

You talking about this thread or wider protests?

Been some awful things happening to the Jewish community these past 2 weeks. At least the true colours of some of the Pro-Palestine camp are now out there for all to see.
