Chernobyl: it's not gone out!

There's a street view of Chernobyl where there are houses and blocks of flats overgrown with trees and weeds and rusting cars and stuff, but I found a bloke mending a school bus and some old gents just sitting on a bench. It's very eerie.

are you sure that wasn't Tonge Moor that you were looking at?

I went in July 2019. Had a week in Kyiv, including a couple of days up in Pripyat.
Superb stuff and relatively inexpensive.

Plus Kyiv has a thriving microbrewing culture.
