Happy retirement! By the time I'm due to retire my patients will be younger than me. Gonna have to find myself a sugar daddy.

Well done Victor. After 30 years supplying boozer you've done your bit. Stand down.

It's great, once you get used to it. I struggled at first, but there was nothing to do. Absolutely nothing because of Covid but once things started opening up I was in my glory.

We have Fogarty juniors dog two days, I bowl three afternoons, there's the match, and my bus pass ensures I never miss a chance of a session.

What age can you “legitimately” start playing bowls!

I drove past the one at rivi last week. I'd be all over it. 36

Meldrew. Spend more time with your grandkids. Offer to have them for days or trips out. Your kids will appreciate it! 🤣

An old school mate of mine is playing and he's only 43 the crazy fucker.

To be fair though, it's like a cross between 10 pin bowling and snooker so maybe we are doing it a disservice?

We used to play similar as kids with pool balls along the hall carpet, was quite good fun.

It's decent. Played a bit at Dunscar conny club when I was a teen. The dads using it as an excuse to get pints in the sun.

A mix between 10 pin and snooker is bang on! 🤣

A mate of mine is from Huddersfield but moved down to South London years ago for work. He has now got a lovely place for the same money a little north east of the M25 in what can only be described as Midsummer Murder territory.

He's been there less than a month and is already on the cricket team yet failed badly but excelled at darts so the local loves him.

I could retire somewhere like there.

I could retire in moss side if I had the cash.

Fuck the location.

Really? No point in having money if folk either resent/rob/hate you, etc.

Nothing better than a nice community for me, as long as they aren't too in your face of course

I don't despise my job. Actually quite enjoy parts of it.

But if someone could say live in moss side comfortably without working I'd probably do it.

I lived in Rusholme and shopped at hulme Asda back in the day. I can survive anything!

The Horwich riveria is like Monaco.
