  1. in my opinion most referees side with the home team on 95 per cent of occassions, the exceptions being when a so called top four side comes to town, thats why the top four sides nine times out of ten finish high up in the fair play league and thats why you get more bookings away from home than you do at home over the course of a season.
  2. You cant use Salford as an example or an equivalent though because Salford is more of a football town than rugby overall. Ok Salford rugby is the highest level of sport being played but most salfordians play football thats why there are so many teams from the city of salford from salford city to all the teams in the eccles and manchester leagues, whereas rugby you have got just langworthy, swinton (who are now based in prestwich) salford city reds and salford/eccles juniors. On the other hand as far as i know leigh has more high level rugby teams than football such as Leigh East, Leigh miners rangers, westleigh, leigh rugby club and ovbiously leigh centurions. Not including the local teams such as tyldsley, wigan st pats, wigan and so on so forth, two different towns, two diferent sporting religions. Just my opinion though.
  3. Quality read and some damn good valid points, does make you think and my list would probably have a few more names on there as well.
  4. i agree mounts, its as though he is looking for an excuse and other people to blame every time we slump a little, he keeps throwing these digs at the fans but when will he look at himself and his own inept negative attitude, he is to blame as much as the minority of the fans.
  5. i agree with the plovdiv answer, good few thousand went over there and its not exactly round the corner.
