  1. There were a lot of questions/comments over here during the Gold Cup as to why Klinsmam didnt pick Ream for the US. Especially as the US were struggling defensively. I think it was mostly based on the fact that Ream was BWFC player of the season twice running. It seems that most of you have the same opinion as Klinsman in that Ream really isnt that good. Not having seen them for years (I rely on impartial WW views), was Ream just the best of a bad bunch?
  2. The promotion leading up to the first game in Orlando has been very much instrumental in getting a 60,000 plus crowd. Not so sure about the next game. I moved to Orlando last summer from the frozen wasteland of Michigan. The Orlando City promotions dept used every kind of media to get across the 'fill the bowl' message. Pub crawls, fun runs, free transport, screenings in city centre all went to spread the word. I didnt go but chose to watch in a sports bar outside of the city where I had to ask for one of the thirty plus tvs be changed from NASCAR to 'soccer'. Which did attract a few more watchers. So the rest of the country is still catching up. But it is definately growing.
  3. Blinded by the light, wake up and produce an aroma in the night.
  4. 66 WC final - playing football in Brazley with some tattered casey, telling everbody i was Jimmy Greaves 9-11 -M62/A1 listening to bbc muamba - some Irish bar in Michigan trying to listen to the tele telling the psuedo paddies to shut the fuck up. Sad time Dad died - Saturday night phone call in Brown Cow just before i kicked the door panel out
  5. Pretty sure that Bradbury is now a housing estate. And yes, I do know that they moved 5 miles up the road.

  9. Saddle 11 till 2, Reform Club 2 till 5, back to saddle at 5.30. Kebab shop 10.30. Seems a long time ago.
  10. He has some of the best ACL surgery people in the world, in his own country. Having seen what happened to some NFL players he should take heart from their recovery. Adrian Peterson of the Vikings tore ACL and was back within 8 months to fall 8 yards short of all time running record, and gain NFL MVP. Robert Griffen is on track to do the same recovery.
  11. Received the export version. Ta very much mrwalks.
  12. Was once asked "Do they celebrate Fourth of July in your country?"
  13. I did the same in the skydeck boxes on Sears Tower in Chicago. Everyone scattered and some woman took a swing at me.
