  1. Buzzing my little cotton socks off after that. Social distancing on the train meant Sober Dan was pretty quiet although he did go for about 4 shits either way. Must of ate something a bit off the lad earlier in the day. Spoons is still Spoons and doing the burger and a pint deal plus additional pints. Locals were alright when they were drawing but got a bit heated when quite a few Bolton in the 'away' end went up on 91 minutes. Didn't think we'd been sussed by the Burberry clad few in front of us until one turned round and said that our number 16 was as bad at throw ins as Hector Bellerin. Silent smile behind my mask and carried on watching the game. Stewards were sound as a pound too. Gates were just open so you walked straight in without showing your ticket and they said thanks when you used the sanitiser. Never even asked me about the tinnie in my pocket nor when I supped it at half time and were very understanding when the lad who celebrated a bit more than anyone else said he just got a bit excited. Gilks - superb tonight. Couple of good stops and caught a good few from them bloody long throws Baptiste - could of stepped up easily to avoid a first half chance but did a decent and effective job. Never realised that his headers make a louder thud than normal headers Delaney - solid, love that his only out ball is down the wing so forward players have an idea where it's going. Scored the winner and took the piss by using their towel for a thrown in which ......... went down the wing Santos - can't of been the same lad from the Port Vale game. Back to the good Santos. Got stuck in, body on the line and all that. Note: no big unit to wind him up though Jones - first time I noticed tonight how we drop into a 5 at the back when needed and then he's only gone and appeared down the other end a few seconds later. He'll sleep well on the coach back Sarcevic - looked a bit lost when fist punching the Bolton lad after the goal and put in a shift all over the gaff. Never be a world beater but a massive trier and I like that Thomason - getting to like this lad. Good vision and not afraid to spread it around. Got a bit more involved physically tonight which was good to see. Should join Sarc for a kebab occasionally to put a few pounds on Greenidge - given a job at LWB for the first half he looked like he been sent to deep extra cover and didn't have a friggin' clue where it was. Not exactly over physical for a lad his size but plain to see he was a target second half for the aerial cross field ball. Think he won one too Delfounso - unsung hero for me tonight. Lots of effort mostly off the ball and supported the midfield. Struggled a bit to keep up when we sprung forward but probably thinks he could of buried at least one of his chances. About time he told the missus it's her job to get up in the night to feed the new nipper Isgrove - like a little ferret. He runs around, changes direction, runs again and then has a breather 'cos he's knackered. Hard working sort who tracked and harried and should of scored. Looked a bit easier from 100 yards away but a bit of a different story on the highlights Doyle - bit greedy at times but who can blame him with his goal record. Proper player who'll bag a fair few more this season. Frustrates a bit that he can't shield the ball better outside the box, but gives you a few tingly goose bumps in and around the box. Fair play to him for throwing the bucket of towels for their long throw lad over the fence Goodnight. I've had a few.

  2. No Being able to have a giggle at organised religion knowing full well it’s just a bit of fun, with likeminded knobheads. Thats what makes us boltonian.

  4. The stepladders @ Barrow & Cambridge were the best of all. Especially S in the last minute @ Barrow. It took planning of land ownership. You can’t just rock up. It was proved that we knew more than them.

  6. I’m sorry but if anyone is entertaining having an Xmas dinner with elderly relatives who are in the vulnerable group (who wouldn’t normally be in your bubble) just because the government say you can extend then that’s on them! How about the vulnerable sit this year out to protect themselves until they get a vaccine in a few weeks and the non vulnerable enjoy a few days with a slightly larger group of other non vulnerable than they would have the week before? Ive seen my grandparents once since this kicked off, that was in their garden, I don’t plan on seeing them next week. Common sense? 🤔

  9. Restrictions are being relaxed for 4 or 5 days, when I say relaxed it’s hardly a free for all is it Meanwhile the vast majority of building sites that have been open throughout (even during lockdown 1) will be shut Most other factories and workplaces that have been open throughout will also be closed Schools, nurseries and colleges that have been open for months will be shut The transport system that’s been open all the way through will be closed for at least two days, with very few travellers on the other days Supermarkets will be closed for the first day since Easter Sunday Non essential shops will be shut at least for Xmas day, most on Boxing Day also The vast majority of pubs and restaurants won’t be open at all Yet 3 households mixing for a few days will cause thousands more infections than the previous week when a lot of the above was open? Complete bollocks if you ask me!

  10. Why are people still listening to the government for the minutiae as to what they can and can't do. It's fucking mental. There's a global pandemic and people might be at risk if you all meet in one house for a piss up and a posh Sunday roast. Use your common sense. Anyone that is older or has underlying conditions give them a wide berth! It's not rocket science. For me, I'm doing the usual. Staying home. Dropping presents off before the big day and starting on bucks fizz at some ungodly hour! Feliz navidad

  13. absolutely spot on. I choose not to socialise with them through they year cos I don’t like them. Doesn’t change just cos it’s Xmas. Always someone acting the big man as well. Without fail. Knowing full well nobody can do fuck all as they will end up getting grief at work.

  20. actually now I think about it I have, and posted this before so just had to find it and copy and paste John Thomson (fast show etc) - 2001 in the Met in Didsbury end of the night after a christmas do, pub is virtually empty sat with his mate, boss wanted to say hello as a fan of cold feet, so went on over to begin with, very decent bloke, got chatting about all sorts of stuff he was v pissed, eyes glazed over but was holding it together well next thing decides we're journalists and my boss' briefcase has a tape recorder in it gets aggressive, kicking off, wrestles with boss for briefcase, opens it, picks out a phone charger, holds it up and starts giving it "who the fck you think you are, i fcking knew it, you cnts, come on then" starts going for us bar staff hold him back we leave

  27. Not always, Caroline Lucas from the Green Party has been an MP for Brighton for about 10 years - when the people of Brighton vote her in, they're not casting that vote thinking that she or anybody else from her party will be PM, they're voting because they believe that she, as an individual, will do what's best for her constituency. So therefore, it's can't be true that voting for your local MP is a vote for the PM in a GE

  35. Ive read it. They do well getting such a representation 👍 Nobody is saying grooming and child sex crimes are strictly a muslim/Pakistani problem are they? They represent an awfully high amount of cases though and is a major problem in towns across the country. I know what point your trying to make, but its a shit one. If you somehow dont think grooming is a problem across Pakistan-muslim populace in towns across the country then I suggest you do some research. And before you start your usual whataboutery...yes there are major problems elsewhere with eastern Europeans, homegrown, Catholic priest, football coaches from the 90's, bbc presenters. We know this. No amount of whataboutery stops it being a massive problem across towns with Pakistan muslim men. Its not hard this stuff.

  36. Great result after being backs to the wall for a lot of the second half. Can't condone fans travelling so far from a Tier 3 to watch the game though. That's pretty irresponsible IMO.

  41. my daughter plays for a team where I’m currently wondering where the money goes, possibly the same one , not just the subs but fund raising , especially when we also get links to the club shop where we can buy training gear and hats etc for them . my lads all play for different clubs where money is re invested or even just sits in the bank, all visible, something doesn’t sit right with the daughters team though. Saying that, I pay subs the same and she thoroughly enjoys herself so no issue, but it grates me a little the efforts of volunteers and parents could be subsiding an individuals income rather than a genuine grass roots club .
