  1. If he dropped down dead in front of me I still wouldn't believe him. The lying, bumbling clagnut.

  2. Not at all. I just don't think he was as ill as he has made out. I don't do conspiracy theories, but the fuckwit is an out and out liar.

  3. I think yesterday was a needed reality check for people. However no one should lose sight of how far we have come in last 18 months or so. From being on the brink of going out of existence we are showing we can compete in a league we just got promoted to, we have players who clearly what to be here and play for the club. A manager who wants to play attacking football and maybe most importantly owners who 'get it' and are constantly raising the bar for the club. I know people picking faults with certain players want the club to do well and that it is just how they express their support. But let's be honest this is the most exciting time to be a Bolton fan for a very long time. It will be a roller coaster but just enjoy the ride it is a million times better than it looked like not that long ago. There is pride back in the club let's celebrate that every week rather than worrying about the little niggles that will always be there

  6. And there we have it. A discussion on wholesale gas prices rising across the world shoehorned and diverted into a discussion about brexit And shortage in labour supply (whilst we have an unemployment rate at c4.8%) anyone want to mention taking the knee as well And we have a full set?? Any takers? Boooooo

  7. There must have been many nurses, doctors and other medical professionals looking after him. To say it was a political stunt is an insult to them.

  8. He speaks to his Mrs like a piece of shit too. Little fucking Irish bastard would be getting my foot up his arse if he spoke to me like that.

  9. Wycombe chairman saying he is going to sue Derby / EFL for wrongly avoiding a points deduction last season for 'accounting irregularities' if, as now seems likely, points for this are going to be added to the -12 points for impending Administration. Speculation that this will be a minimum of four points for the irregularities, up to the full nine. Wycombe were relegated by just one point. As many pointed out at the time it was just unfair that Derby merely had the points deduction commuted to a fine of £100k and deferred to a later date (which now won't be paid as Derby are going into Admin). The whole thing stinks to high heaven and I hope Wycombe get some sort of belated justice, whatever that can be. One almighty fuck up from EFL as per. The difference in revenue between the Championship and L1 is being quoted at the £10m mark.

  12. Politicians only make a shitshow for themselves by saying things are going to get better and cheaper and more plentiful. Just be honest. Tell us the truth and watch people deal with it.

  13. The timing is unfortunate - again, not blaming the government here. Prices of newer vans is just astronomical as mentioned elsewhere and things like this only make that worse. But, we can’t keep doing what we do. As a G7 outfit we have to lead by example. I actually can get onboard with Boris when he talks like he has today about the need to push on with sorting the climate out. Unfortunately he’s not much of a details man so that needs to be sorted by others. Theres never a perfect time to make big changes.

  16. Went to the theatre of tourists for guest speaker night invited by an engineering company; guest speaker was Greavsie. Same night the two red shites were playing there in a reserve game. Went to the free bar before the entertainment commenced and the great man was there; not drinking alcohol though because he was already tea total. Told him I was Bolton and he told us and the others around the bar how they hated playing us because they knew they would be kicked all over the park. when he got up to speak he first said that he hadn’t heard of this engineering company but they must be massive to arrange this football match for us which brought a lot of laughs. He then went on to talk about his career and to my astonishment he talked about Bolton and joked about hiding behind his own centre halves at Burnden Park. top fellow and a lovely man; will be sadly missed. RIP Jimmy

  18. Not 100% on the stats but something like 5 defeats now in 30 odd games? 2 years ago that was how many wins we had in the same number of games it was a fucking chore to watch us for a while now no fucker can wait for saturdays that’ll do for me

  20. I don't agree with much of what Youri suggests, but I'm also in the "Boris never had proper Covid" camp. Always seemed like a PR stunt at the time, like much of what he does.

  21. And keep in mind that just 7 months (almost to the day) ago we were 2-0 down at Mansfield with 10 minutes to go and facing being 20th in L2. After surprisingly winning that, having the run we did and a good start to the season, we're 37 places higher than that. OK, we can still be critical of performances, but also need to count blessings...

  25. I’m not having it. Burnley, Blackburn & PNE won’t look at our crowd today with jealousy. They’ll decide, well done the 12-13 thousand regulars but the rest have almost been given their ticket. I get that certainly in Blackburn’s and PNE’s cases, they would love to have our normal numbers but let’s not get giddy about folk turning out at £5 & £10 per ticket. The next home game will be the measure, not this one. Especially if we remain unbeaten at Sunderland next week and Charlton a week Tuesday.

  26. They’re in at around £160m I think now ncluding £20m last season. Selling Armstrong might keep it down to only needing a further £10m this season EDIT just checked, it’s only £140m. Ouch
