This season reminds me of the time phil Neal took us out of div 4, now as then we are a work in progress, we need stability for the next couple of years and continue to build, squad and club year on year, this is a long term project let’s give the manager & owners full support.

I find it incredible people calling for Evatt to go. Yes, I like him but even if I didn't, argue with his record with the resources given. 6 pros was it when he took over, a squad signed by a nobody and still won promotion. The man needs major backing, not sacking

It is so easy only one player managed to score more than him last season! And he took and scored way more penalties than Doyle, so he was also bang average. Doyle is a very good league 2 striker, age and step up means he struggles more I league 1, but we miss him when he isn't in the side. He is about a 1 in 3, 1 in 4 striker, and we create fuck all of the chances he would thrive on.

Sorry to wade into this debate late. I've always thought we look a better side with Doyle in than without it. There's always a goal threat there which makes defenders nervous and makes space for other players. He does a lot of his best work when he drops deeper and brings the wide players into the game. He makes better short runs in behind the last man than any of our other strikers - which works well for our more technical players like Lee when they're looking to thread balls through. He works his arse off and can usually keep that pace up for a full 90 minutes. I like him. I don't idolise him by any means - but he'd be one of the first names on the teamsheet for me if he was fit. Saw glimpses of what Baka offers on Wednesday too - pace and power. Something a bit different - but he's a way to go before he gets in above Doyle for me.

There has to be some give and take on what a "chance" is. The 3 goals that Quigley scored against us and the Wycombe goal today as examples, not one of those would have gone down as a chance if Doyle was there instead of them. All 4 goals were down to being strong more than finishing ability (although that's needed too). If you haven't got strength or pace, you really are limiting the type of chances you might score from, are Morecambe creating a load of chances on a plate for Cole Stockton to score 12 already?

We have to rally the troops and stand firm together behind the club, the owners, the manager, his staff & the players. Next few games are going to be really tough, we're struggling to put a team out right now with all the injuries. I've got a feeling Doyle could have played today, but then wouldn't have made Tuesday. Tuesday probably seems more winnable on paper, so hopefully we'll see him return. Aside from him, it's just going to be a case of who's fit, plays. Positives from today, Isgrove had a better game than of late and Thomason put a real shift in.

Absolutely fucking this Struggle to believe that some folk (not necessarily on here) think that we should automatically be top 3 after being promoted last year Mid table end to this season and we’ve moved forward Folk criticising Evatt for what he’s said. Some of the players need to take a long and hard look at themselves. Our support is incredible as is our higher management of the club and this is Groundhog Day from the Phil Neal days. He deserves a lot of credit for where we got to and Evatt deserves the backing to try and do the same

We're in for a tough couple of months, down to the bare bones and I expect several games will be an endurance test akin to Parkys last championship season. Evatt, and many of these players have earned our support and should continue to get it imo.

We are playing at a higher level with a worse sqaud than last season, swapped Miller and Arthur for Bakayoko and Kachunga, lost our club captian and top goal scorer is injured as well as half the bastard team. It is what it is folks, we are doing well to be where we are.

The reason Doyle hasnt scored as many this is we arent creating as many chances for him. He spends half the game isoalted while we piss about with the ball for 20 mins, give it dapo and he either shoots himself or gets twatted before he can release the ball. Once Doyle gets a chance its invariably missed as his legs have ceased up whilst hes been stood chatting to their center back half the game. Hes an out and out sniffer. Needs loads of balls in and around him, off the shoulder runs. Defl then Babayoko were meant to be his link men but theyre fucking shit.

But doesn't it just prove my point that any fucker can get to be one of the top Darts players in the world if they just spend a bit of time practicing. Obviously with her being a woman, that proves the point even more. She's probably got fuck all else to do with her time. I'll say it again, even starting from scratch, if you can be bothered to spend 3 or 4 hours a day chucking darts at a board for 5 or 6 months, you'll be (unless you're blind or have some other impairment) virtually guaranteed a place in the last 32 of any darts event, anywhere in the world (I'm talking about the tournaments with the better players, is it called the PDC?) . If you enter that terrible tournament that is for sub standard players who are basically pub players, then you'd be very disappointed not to get to the semi finals or the final in all reality.
