What degree of abuse ? You seem to want to scale it in some way. I think the scale (if proven guilty) is enticing young kids into providing sexual favours to older men for some type of reward. To be clear it is exactly the same as someone in a random northern town enticing a young vulnerable girl to suck off his mates for a tin of Stella and a line of Charlie. The same as a football coach playing with a kids knob for the promise of a game in the big team or a catholic priest using alter boys to stroke their balls. There are two sides to this, predatory abusers and victims. The 'rewards' do not become more acceptable because they are more expensive. The parents do not become to blame because they might be middle class. The whole cycle of abuse starts from the victims and their families being assured that everything is ok. The reason people do not come forward is often fear, not just the abusers but of being labelled 'to blame.' To say or even imply the victims and their families are to blame is simply helping this abuse to continue. It is just about decency for fucks sake.10 likes

I do love it when a pensioner who had spent half his life living on the other side of the world tells us how it really is.3 likes

And people wonder how Savile got away it with it for so many years... It was because of paedophile-apologists like this.2 likes

The higher profile or higher wealth the abusers are, the less likely the chances of it being reported. In Rochdale, Rotherham etc, the groomers are quite rightly vilified (for their actions, their ethnicity is irrelevant), but when it comes to wealthy abusers, the tables are turned and those being abused are accused of doing it for the money. Society is fucked.2 likes

I live in LH, but I can travel half a mile along the same road and be in either Wigan or Bolton. The difference is crazy, as is the use of colloquialisms; I'd say 'i'm going out with a berd tonight' Yet just down Mort Lane they say sister. I reckon there must be a room in the farmhouse where accents change and incest becomes acceptable2 likes

I don't think people are enraged. I think they just feel a bit sorry for you. You seem a bit spesh.1 like

Can't believe ( well I can actually) that anyone on a moral crusade about grooming gangs can believe there may be a grey area where rich, entitled, sick, plum voiced nonces are concerned.1 like

Interesting day today, 20% of our place now off with COVID. If I drink all the ale I've got I might return later and describe the whole situation, the role of the unvaxxed in it, and the potentially irreconcilable rifts that have been caused. In reality I'll probably just drink the ale and go on the telly and tit threads though.1 like

They finished 2nd in The African cup of nations 2017. But either way there’s only one fella in the same league as Ronaldo and it ain’t or will ever be Mo Salah, as much as I rate him.1 like

Day 3 early days but Spider takes the lead on 20 FYI I'm compiling a league table it also takes into account PPG, as not everyone can guess every day which means Nobster is winning with 15 PPG having only had one guess PPG is a secondary league though, points in the bag is what counts1 like

I actually can't believe people are trying to justify it. It's abuse. Simple as. I read only 15% of victims report to the police. No wonder with some peoples narrow minded views.1 like

Eh? The opposite. He has a long memory which you don't seem to possess. Pro Palestine, pro IRA, anti semitic. The Labour Party.1 like

There is plenty of evidence of Labour Party influentials lending tacit support to such odious organisations. May be forgotten in another century or so. For the time being, no fucking chance.1 like

I've disagreed (relatively silently) with much that Stevie has posted recently, but he's bang on here. Private jets and champagne etc is just a more expensive version of free taxis and kebabs. Grooming is grooming irrespective of the amount spent doing it.1 like

And they've preyed on these 'vulnerable' kids who they know haven't got good parenting behind them for that exact reason. Some of the comments here are akin to rape victims being told they deserve it for wearing a short skirt.1 like

There is no point debating it with you either, your view is a closed view that this doesn’t exist in the Labour Party just like Pro Lebanon, Anti Israel also doesn’t exist. I’m wasting my time.1 like

Definitely worth checking out. I'm particularly keen, as a few months ago, whilst swapping my van, the dealership had their IT system hacked, my details leaked which resulted in me being given a bank account number to make a bank transfer to, which wasn't that of the company! Lost just over 2k, but got it back from the company eventually. Had I got the email 24hrs earlier, I'd have lost 25k. Some cunt in Bradord still laughing now.1 like

It doesn’t matter what you or I think many folk think Labour are tarnished, failure to address these type of issues will play a part in Labour remaining out of power.1 like

Not all Labour are pro IRA but it’s clear links go back many decades, whether you think there was anything in them or not does not matter the fact is many folk think Labour Party has pro IRA sympathies. I think this is a balanced article. https://www.channel4.com/news/factcheck/factcheck-corbyn-on-northern-ireland1 like
