I do not think I have had better times in my life on a regular basis than sat with a group of mates talking shit. In the teen years all about beer and birds and Bolton. Into twenties work also started to be part of the chat , thirties houses and kids forties divorces added in and now in 50s pensions are the 'in thing' . The 'birds' have evolved into girlfriends, wives and ex wives. I went to Cambs with a lad I have known since Uni, with my step son and my mates 2 kids. (18 and 14). I get together with 50-60 ex Uni lads at least once a year, others do it more often. OK it ain't like 10 of us getting a coach from Moor Lane to the South of France as I did at 17, but the whole 'lads together' experience is still brilliant. We all have loads of other stuff going in but think I will always make time for these days.
