  6. A mate of mine turned his car over coming off the m6 at Warrington. He had bad psoriasis. Police report said it looked like a giant snow globe on the hard shoulder. (exagerated a bit).

  10. He doesn't like football players taking the knee. Fair enough. But stop trying to justify it in some oddball way that it's given a rise to racism šŸ˜„

  11. As I say, like discussing something with a teenager. Yeah, but, yeah, but. He has no idea about the numbers used, the data that is collected and which data scientists are working on it. Basically he doesn't like it, and he has to decide why. The rest of us just carry on.

  13. You're not kidding. The way they were going on talksport you'd think they were on for the quadruple. Any normal season Chelsea and Liverpool would be up there contending.

  17. Rearranged from FA Cup weekend when we played Plymouth, wasnā€™t it? Need to be winning this one by a couple of goals really. Not least because the performance at their place was a shambles.

  18. I thought Aimson was unlucky with the opener, he had to get a touch on it to prevent the striker from scoring. He had to get that touch without conceding a penalty and it unfortunately went the wrong side of the post. The goal doesn't come if Randell cuts the cross out.

  21. The EFL is littered with teams who would..."benefit from a year in the Championship"... It's gets tougher and tougher to get back up. The PL is so tight that any team winning back to back games can catapult up the league.

  22. Derby similar to Rotherham, which has been mentioned on here. Warne is a fitness fanatic so goes without saying his teams are around the top as far as fitness goes, having said that Rotherham seem to run out of steam towards the end of last season, hereā€™s hoping the rams Finnish the season the same way, see you at Wembley derbyšŸ˜

  24. I agree for what itā€™s worth, I just think it will be interesting to see how long Evatt waits and what will be the reason for bringing Santos back in - because he will. One other thing from my first post, Williams had better just be getting up to speed (and still be miles off based on what heā€™s shown so far) - otherwise he is a serious weak link and weā€™ll be constantly be targeted down that side. Fuck knows what the scouts have seen based on his 3 games so far (and whoever told Evatt heā€™s lightning fast has completely had him on).

  26. Weā€™re the 5th or 6th best team in this league. We need 2 or ideally all 3 from sheff weds Ipswich and prob derby to get promotion this season to give it a proper crack next year. Simple as that

  29. Getting into the play offs will be a good achievement, but there's no point getting there if we can't beat the teams above us. The story of the season has been that we play good football and even have the better of most teams, but against the higher teams we aren't ruthless and tend to bottle it. I wouldn't be confident if we played Ipswich, Sheff Weds, Derby or Plymouth in the play offs. All of who we have not beaten this season. Saying this, play offs are a lottery and anything could happen. I'm still confident. But I think to get us to that next level, we need more investment from above. Some of our players are not good enough, we were chasing a game today against Derby away and we bring on Kachunga, a player with 2 goals for us in 60 matches.

  30. This is the risk when countries get into fighting a proxy war, how far do you go before you're basically fighting directly. Just a game all this now. About 10 months ago Ukraine was begging for 4th generation fighter jets (basically UEFA cup level jets not champions league) and nobody wanted to do it as it would be too "direct". It would have taken about 10-12 months from that point to thrash out any kind of export deal and stand up the training required to make it happen. And now here we are with the Netherlands pondering over maybe we should give them some F-16s after all. It would be another year from this point for them to be worthwhile if that was initiated this week. I kind of think the West expected Ukraine to have been defeated by now, valiant but beaten, and back to containing Russia we go. Instead they've fought like lions, got it down to a winter stalemate and are now looking around at the rest of Europe saying hey, we stemmed the tide now what are you going to do to help? And that's left a few countries who were just playing at supporting Ukraine in a difficult position

  34. Think you are misinterpreting what I said if it is my post you are referring to. I put probably (have edited now) but what I mean is you are never going to win the full trust of everyone because some people have no idea how football works ā€¦ have you see some of the tweets - ā€˜we better be close to a striker signingā€™ because of Bodvarsson injury and selling Dapo. Dapo deal was done over the weekend and had said his goodbyes before we even knew the extent of the injury. Some just donā€™t have a clue especially on Twitter. I am fully supportive and trusting of Evattā€¦ I actually agree with the Dapo sale and agree that in order to evolve the club this is what we need to do and be now. I have been arguing with loads of idiots on Twitter all week about it.
