Me eldest has autism and really struggles dealing with his emotions, so we made the decision not to get him a ticket on Sunday. It was gutting after the game as it would have been amazing for him to be there but if we had been on the end of that from Plymouth he just couldn't have coped with it all. He 'follows' City but has a season ticket with me and has done a couple of aways which he absolutely loved. He's already asked about going on some of the longer aways next season and I can't wait.3 likes

There is no need to compare the two Sunday was a party to celebrate the Phoenix like rise from the ashes of the club. A day to celebrate the fact the club now has an identity we can all be proud of. It was wonderful and in the long term will have more impact than any single league game. Friday is one game in a season, if we lose then win the next 5 it will be forgotten. But if we win it really boosts our chances of making play offs so it is important. It will be disappointing if we lose but it is not season defining. The two games are totally different and trying to argue one is more important than the other is illogical. That made more sense in my head than it did when written out.3 likes

I apologise in advance as it will probably not be the only time I bring this up (again). But there’s no way folk who have followed the club around the country this season, should be up against those who fancy a 2nd/3rd big away day out, on on open season ticket sale using kids (who don’t go to away games) tickets to secure their pals ticket (who doesn’t even go to most home games) I’ll be properly pissed off (again) if circumstances prevent me getting sorted for this. Looking forward to my Exeter stub counting for something on Friday 😊2 likes

Watched a brilliant supernatural investigation style programme last night. Rent-a-ghost think it was called. One of the undead had the name Timothy Claypole, apparently an ancient medieval Court jester.2 likes

I've finally achieved hero status. 🥳 Keeps saying to me "Thank god you told me to wait dad!" 😁🥰 Something neither of us will ever forget. Beyond words how much that meant on Sunday. Only just got home after spending a couple of days down South, and him and his sister took it in turns to read every single word of the matchday programme out loud in the car on our way to different places. Didn't even ask them to, and it got a bit tedious to be honest, but I wouldn't change it for the world.2 likes

Said it before on another thread. Cosgrove’s only intention there is to expel his frustration by causing harm to his opponent. If Toal’s foot is an anyway planted in the ground we are dealing with a David Busst, career ending, type situation (clean break at right angles). As others have said, it’s made even worse by his immediate reaction to show no remorse. What an absolute Cunt. The one against Sheehan wasn’t great, it was borderline yellow/red, but the player realised what he had done, checked to see Sheehan was ok and looked mildly apologetic. This modern day world of “snap him” when a player wants to expel some retribution/frustration needs addressing - sad to see that some low level professionals still live in this amateurish/thuggish mindset.1 like

I love the fact that every game not at home is a stand up job the entire game (accepting it might be annoying for some who can't easily stand). I'm sure previous visits to Wembley/Cardiff were sit down affairs, there was no way we were sitting down on Sunday around where I was. Same at Sheff Wed, definitely encourages a better atmosphere. I'm bloody nackered the next day mind being on feet for most of the day.1 like

He's quality isn't he. Its hard to argue with Kacha's inclusion on the day, but every time we get the line up I always hope he's involved, a class above with leadership qualities and physicality which the team lacks. He should have shot though instead of passing to Kacha!1 like

😁 Fantastic memories. It was absolutely ground-breaking at the time. Like the 90's version of Twilight Zone, but better. Haven't watched it back recently, but I'm sure I'd still enjoy them, even if it's just for the nostalgia. And Gillian Anderson.....1 like

The barge idea is my favourite. I've visions of them all turning into David Essex or taking a Hamiltons Waterways break.1 like

https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-65193446 Thumbs up from me. Housing single male asylum seekers in a barge hotel. Vulnerable, my arse. If they’ve made it across Europe and the channel, a room with food and facilities is a result for them.1 like

The reason the grooming gang scandal is newsworthy - aside from the obvious - is because it speaks directly to how the country is dealing with multiculturalism, race, and social cohesion. Specifically, the extremely violent nature of the crimes - many of the girls weren't just raped or sexually assaulted, they were burnt, tortured, and beaten - the racial/cultural aspect (the targeting of almost exclusively vulnerable, underage white girls), and the abject failure/refusal of authorities to deal with crimes they knew were occurring for fear of being seen as racist or inflaming racial tensions. And the claim, from sensible people at least, is not that child sexual abuse is solely committed by men of Pakistani heritage - that would be absurd in a country that is over 80% white - but that men of Pakistani heritage were overrepresented in the prosecution rates, and attitudes prevalent in particular cultural backgrounds may have had a bearing on why these specific crimes are being committed. There's a good thread on the overrrepresentation part here:1 like

Yeah I drove too amazing what you notice when you're not bladdered. Superb ball he curled round their defence to Kachungas feet. Like to see a bit more of him and I'm sure we will these last few games.1 like

They are vile sickos whatever their race. The lives they have ruined is terrible. Clearly these gangs are not just from Pakistan communities though so it is important the police have resources to weed them out and prosecute them.1 like

You are a bright lad. I do not believe it is beyond your comprehension that many millions around the world are sick to the back teeth of creeping socialism seeking to control the way we think, the way we act and the way we vote. Trump was a circuit breaker and may well be again. Brexit the same. I know plenty of you want big government/deep state to do all your thinking for you and basically plan your entire life for you even down to dictating the way you are to think. Not me and many like me. Individualism, personal liberty and keeping government as small and as low taxing as possible are all highly desirable.1 like

I don't think anything will top the feeling the moment Dion bagged the 2nd. Tears in the eyes, the noise was incredible. Genuinely not stopped watching all the content since Sunday night. I've thrown a thread together on Twitter of all the best bits, especially the stuff filmed from the Plymouth end: Glorious.1 like

I managed to finish my half-time pint in time for the second half (fair play to Wembley on the serving speeds) but then thought I’d nip for a pee whilst I was already on the concourse. And then heard the cheers above me…1 like

Thats what its all about mate. My youngest said he was a Bolton fan on Sunday night. A lot on here will know H and know he usually does what the fuck he wants and will not be forced in to anything or supporting anything he doesnt want to. Life is much easier to let him make his own mind up and Ive never gone heavy on him, and trusted the process. Seems my faith has worked. Hes bang up for Monday Ive always said to him, support who you want son, as long as Its not United, as long as your happy. However you will never, ever get days out and special times with any other club in the land than you will with me watching Bolton.1 like

Is nt the point that was being made that statistically the Govt report on grooming showed that no single group were statistically more likely to be on a grooming gang than any other based on ethnicity ? So rather than the Govt once again coming up with a headline to appeal their target audience they should be doing something to tackle the real problem . The idea that if someone reports a case it takes on average 500 days to get it sorted and the victims receive no support is something that should piss us all off surely? https://www.theboltonnews.co.uk Todays local headlines !!!1 like

Yep, Wembley was a success in hopefully tying in some kids as lifelong Wanderers, as a family day out, as a piss up for the lads & a millionish pound boost to the club but in footballing terms, the Exeter game means more than any mickey mouse game.1 like
