  1. Honestly don't remember luca Connell using his right foot very much. Can't remember the last time I saw him do anything other than ordinary. He's suited to Barnsley. Organised , keeps it simple, cross it early and often. When he starts putting free kicks in the top corner and scoring worldies from range like Morley I'll put him in the same bracket.

  4. That is not automatically issued. I think most ( if not every ) other European country that asks for ID does have such a card that is issued automatically.

  5. My point was that when we started to say people had to be members to buy tickets it could only put people off and people complained it did. When you add an extra element to the voting process , again it can only put people off and the evidence is that 200 were turned away in Bolton. If you add an extra step/requirement into a process and all other elements remain the same it will lead to a reduced output.

  6. Quite frankly Connell is the best player we've produced for years and any criticism is borne out of bitterness of how he left He has also played for us at a higher level than Morley. Even in a dogshit Parky team he was a rare bright spark.

  7. Would he fuck. He's basic. Did you see that miss yesterday ? He's not as good as Morley. No way. Look at the goals morley had scored this season. Morley has much better technique. There is a reason connell spent most of his time at queen of the south in Scotland and not getting a sniff at Celtic.

  10. No, it isn't time to call time on the impartiality of the Civil service. "Everything" is not politicised/weaponised, you're just upset that the inept corrupt liars are being shown for what they are.

  13. I'd say so - she is massive, not as big as Taylor Swift (she wouldn't be doing slightly lesser stadiums) I'd say women 30-45 are probably her core audience but there will be a mix. Think housewives with kids at primary school/early year secondary school and live on new builds in the suburbs of big cities, admin roles or primary teachers type job. Like mainstream TV, like going out a few times a month, have stopped consuming new music since they 'settled down' and now the kids take up much of the family time so like to listen to artists they have heard of from when they were going back but will pick up on new songs from listening to mainstream commercial music radio on the school/work run.

  18. Given where we've ended up, with a fanbase united around popular new owners and manager, Connell is probably the biggest lasting disappointment of the admin years. He would've been perfect for the level we're at and we could've had a lad who'd been at the club since was 10 on 200+ games and well on his way to becoming a club legend. Nobody really to blame outside of maybe Ken Anderson, but a shame nonetheless. For his part, I think he's shown far more class to Bolton fans than has been shown to him.

  19. According to Capology, Luton's wage bill is 7.8m a year. Leicester's is 79.8m. Jamie Vardy is on 7.2m alone. The playoffs are brilliant, no need to piss around with it.

  20. Your say we are a bigger club , but currently on similar standings so the Burnley comparison as you know is a different situation. They played at Bolton 3 times last year, do you honestly think their players would not be impressed with the facilities compared to Oakwell which is only partially opened as the stands are dangerous ?

  21. The big club/small club debate is one I normally cringe at, but the notion that Barnsley, fucking Barnsley, are in anyway comparable to Bolton is frankly laughable.

  22. ''Parties that try and gerrymander end up finding their clever scheme comes back to bite them – as dare I say we found by insisting on voter ID for elections.” “We found the people who didn’t have ID were elderly and they by and large voted Conservative, so we made it hard for our own voters and we upset a system that worked perfectly well” Jacob Rees Mogg There's being an apologist and then there's wilfully stating untruths. No wonder we've had this government in charge for so long when people just bury their head in the sand for no reason other than they tribally support one side over the other. If this was a Labour minister I'd be fucking disgusted.

  24. That's probably the reality for any talented youngster we produce if a big club comes calling And considering the appalling state the club was in at the time he left, any player with anything about them would be looking to get out ASAP

  25. IF, he knew all this was going on, why is he only just coming out with it now? This makes him as worse as those covering it up, or maybe he's part of the cover up, trying to cover his own back? Or maybe, just maybe, he talks absolute bollocks the spanner

  29. Yes. There will be posters on here crying there little eyes out at those words 🥲🥲What are you talking about honestly? 🤣 Pro British = loving the King and singing Rule Britannia Anti -British = having a moan about the state of things ? is it that simple… you’re gonna have to give us an example of this anti- British sentiment, it’ll be easier to know what you mean then. You’ve said it happens on here so shouldn’t be hard to find no? Funny watching the lad who calls people mongos and gives out clown badges make a tit of himself 😂 I’ll await the examples fella, cheers 👍

  30. I think a lot of anti-Brexit and anti-Tory posts exist. I don’t know anyone on here who is anti-Brit If anything, the passion shown for the damage Tories and Brexit have done makes such folk more patriotic if you ask me. Blind refusal to see the shitstorm created isn’t patriotic, it’s just blind support. Happy Clapper stuff.

  34. I know Derby have that ex Rotherham manager who knows how to get out this league with some prime parky ball but not sure on their situation are they still "one player in/one player out" under the new ownership? They have a very ageing team & will need some key signings to keep pace the entire season. Barnsley fair enough due to how well organized & horrible to play against with Duff but hopefully they lose one or two of their better players like Andersen. All the three who have come down look deep in the shit, maybe Blackpool now they have Critchley back who's been there & done it with them might have them spring a surprise but they've undone their hard work they initially done under him but at least them three look like they haven't got much money to blow us out the water to signings. Great to see the back of Ipswich with them spending over a mill each on Davis/Broadhead/Clarke they were literally taking the P*SS at this level my god McKenna literally had unlimited resources compared to the other teams at the level the fact he still didn't win the league is crazy to me. Sheff Weds not going up last season I thought they'd lose players & struggle yet what did they do? keep Bannan in L1 & bring in Rotherham's two best players who'd just got promoted in Smith & Iheikwe so it's probably best they went up to get them out the way. Will be our third season now back in L1 so we have the yard stick to gauge, apart from replacing Traff/Brad we're in a strong position with the squad we've built just need to make sure we get this summer recruitment bang on. Full trust in Evo/Markham/FV to mount a serious challenge for autos next season
