  9. Indeed. Had we processed these asylum seekers routinely (like any normal government) we would already be reaping the rewards of these people in the labour market. The illegal ones would have been dealt with and the legal ones could be helping the economy to recover. Instead the Tories have just racked up billions of pounds in hotel bills whilst outraging Daily Mail readers.

  12. That’s all well and good but I have a feeling ‘next four’ meant from 12 available points, 8 would be wrist slashing levels.

  14. to be fair he didn't say it was "must win" either but I agree with the sentiment, as a favourite for the title it's the sort of place we should be looking to go where we assert our domainance, and not turn in the sort of performance we did last season and similar places

  15. There are some, but not very many, recovery vehicles that can give you a small boost of 10/15 miles, which hopefully will get you to a charge point - if not, then you'll have to wait for a recovery wagon, because I don't think you can tow an EV I'm sure, as with everything EV related, that there are various things in development stage, that will make the whole situation a bit better.

  17. there is no issue, nor is there any guarantee that paying more for a service makes it any better than a cheaper one. i haven't tried every server out there and i have no inclination to. each to their own 👍

  18. They do, but it's a bit easier to get a can of petrol/diesel into your vehicle and then you can be on your way. It's probably not as easy to get some charge into a totally dead battery. It's not overly likely to happen though, and certainly shoiuldn't be a reason for not getting an EV, if it's what somebody wants. As I've said many times, if you're likely to want/need to do 300+ miles on a regular basis, then EV as things stand, probably isn't for you, and hybrid definitely isn't, it's diesel all the way. As TMGJ points out, the range on EVs is improving all the time, and in around 10 years times, I don't doubt that you'll be able to get 500+ which would be more suitable, especially as we should have far better infrastructure by then

  21. If he called @Cheese a loser that would be ok.😂😎 When @Whitesince63 first landed he went through a phase of being overly defensive of his posts and resorting to insults, then he seemed to calm down, hopefully this is just a blip. His opinions are as valid as anyone's.

  27. A divided society, I’m afraid. Probably down to “social” media, of which Twitter seems to be the template for what seems to be the norm of rudeness. I doubt that it will ever be recovered.

  28. Just had a look. We never managed it outside the top division after the war. 1962 1st division. 1st home game v Burnley. 28,897 Right through the 70s our first home games were anything from 8,000 to 16,000. Only 21,355 at first game back in division 1 v Bristol City in 1978. Our support now, for the level we're at, is bloody excellent.
