As my old gaffer used to say, If you can't piss with the big dogs, don't play out. Hamas have picked a fight with the cock of the school. Fuck em.3 likes

But they do want peace though and the Fateh supporters in the West Bank have been peaceful since the last war. The Palestinians in Gaza have no choice but to live under the oppression of Hamas though - and similar to ordinary Russians they have no choice other than to comply or die. It's equally problematic in Israel since the messianist right wing took over having assassinated their own Nobel Peace Prize winning Prime Minister and openly dividing the Palestinians in order to claim there is nobody to make a peace agreement with. They have expanded the borders of Israel and continue to do so which does nothing to facilitate a peace proposal. The key to the solution is finding a way to create the two state solution that was originally promised - one that gives Palestinians self-governance without a blockade that gives them access to trade routes so that they can work towards becoming financially independent of Israel, an end to militarily backed Israeli expansionism and all in conjunction with a UN peace keeping force to ensure they play nicely.2 likes

I thought we pushed the boat out to get Doyle from Swindon but I've no idea what any player has ever earned at BWFC. So forget that bit, he was a good signing whatever we paid or didn't pay.1 like

Aside from maybe the depths of the Championship relegation seasons I think our away attendances have been really good on the whole since relegation from the PL. That first season down we took loads everywhere and I really noticed an increase in groups of younger people going all over, who are now 10 years older and we seem to have retained a lot of them which is great. Perhaps even more of awayday fan culture at the moment too which might not have been as strong when we were at our best in PL. I was 18-23 when we were going through that period and I don't remember the same general "pull" to go everywhere as there is now. Social media peer pressure may be a thing too, FOMO etc. I keep thinking imagine the buzz if we were in Europe around this time. We'd take even more than we did then! Anyway I'm rambling, just excited for tomorrow 😂1 like

I remember going to the the 0-0 game tea-time May 2003. We so needed that point as others had already played. I’m talking about Southampton btw.1 like

Which it's why it's not on the every day Palestinians to eliminate hamas I've no problem with Israel and their mates doing it If they do it properly But no one has ever done it properly in the history of everything And tell me how this ALSO doesn't apply to Israel "But it’s on all of us to eradicate extreme versions that place no value on other humans that disagree with them and want them dead" Because you can apply that to israel so far as I can see They killed Jesus FFS1 like

Looks like I omitted 'Evatt'. Think you sussed it anyway. There's no way Evatt would sign a player who does nothing but score goals.1 like

If the Palestinians hated Hamas so much they’d have got rid by now. Truth is that they’re ok with it. So are Iran. I’ll say it again, it wasn’t a bloke with curly sideburns and thick glasses that killed those kids at the MEN. We didn’t eradicate Nazis without regretfully accepting the collateral human damage. Extreme Islam is a fucking menace we can really do well without.1 like

So a deal that gave the Israelis 8% of their military gains in the West Bank, allowed the Israelis to retain their weapons whilst the Palestinians had to hand their's over, financial compensation for but no return of the Palestinian land the Israelis stole earlier and Palestinian sovereignty over the bits of Jerusalem that they'd always had sovereignty over? Sounds a bit like "we're nicking your living room and kicking you out, but here's a few quid in compensation." Arafat deserved his Nobel Peace Prize for just having to listen to that shit - but he did sign the Oslo Accords and at least he wasn't assassinated by his own people for trying to make peace - unlike Yitzhak Rabin.1 like

This my last comment on this thread as I’ve been discussing this since 1967 and it goes on and on and round and round. Hamas will NOT negotiate. They are terrorists who want to exterminate all Jews. When Hamas are gone, the negotiations can begin.1 like

What a noble lot they are. Add in lying and deception (the hospital hit, number of casualties - even sleepy Joe knows they are multiplying the number by at least 5) and their CV is beyond compare. Then you get revolting fuckers marching on British streets with photo's of their 'fighters' in microlight aircraft taped to their jackets. All those years ago, Enoch Powell was right. No matter what the UN or any other fucker says, there is an imperative to destroy as much of them as Israel can. It will only take a decade or so until the next generation of inhuman, vicious extremists emerges. No doubt Israel will ignore the bleating of the 'doves' and just go in and get the job done. The sooner the better - in no small part on behalf of Palestinians who live in Gaza.1 like

Aye but my point is what the hell did those behind 9/11 etc think was going to happen? Same as this mob. They must have known they were signing their own people's death warrant.1 like

The more you delve the more complicated it gets. Hamas and Fatah were killing each other before Hamas took complete control. Fatah now control the Palestinians in the West Bank. If the Israelis eliminate Hamas, then Fatah could control Gaza and they’ll all live happily ever after. No, I haven’t been drinking this early.😊1 like

Fucking hell, I'm reviving a thread that's been dead for 11 years. Listened to 'O Brother' by John Niven over the last week or so whilst driving about. Talk about hard-hitting. It's a biographical memoir about his brothers suicide that alternates between pre and post his death. There's plenty of dark humour, but the final chapter is probably the most harrowing, heart-wrenching thing I've ever listened to.1 like
