I was at a work get together and got talking with a Bolton fan and an Everton fan, we were still on a bit of a downer post-Derby but telling the EFC fan how well we played in our previous game, a 5-0 win, that we'd both attended. Neither of us could remember who the hell it was against. Proper racking our brains for a couple of minutes and coming up with a couple of wrong suggestions before I remembered Oxford (age is my excuse, other lad in his 30s had none).

Think a breather's well called for 😁 I'll maybe do another in a day or two, tide us over til the serious stuff is happening again.

Last bit of stats for now then ... We've won 7 league games on the bounce a few times, but not since 96/97 when we did it twice. Previously did it in 1891/92, 1899/00, 1904/05, 1905/06, 1908/09, and 1934/35. Six on the bounce a bit more common - and would do nicely taking us into the final day showdown with everything (potentially) to play for. Did 6 most recently earlier this season and again in our league 2 season 20/21. Focus on 6 for now then sneak the 7th on the last day.

The Dion situation is certainly a puzzle and it’s probably good that he’s gone with the N Ireland squad to keep him in game mode, even if he doesn’t play and hopefully is all the time getting fitter and overcoming his injury. It would be great to see him on the bench for the Scotland game and even better if he was fit enough to come on for a cameo at the end to help, prepare him for Stevenage where the win is a must if were to have any serious hope of overtaking Derby.

The club need to just put in in the crazy corner. We don't have a kop or any history of having any section like that behind the goal. Not since burnden anyway.
