  1. Had some great times at Burnden, but that night. Honestly hairs standing up on the back of my neck thinking about it. It was an absolute bear pit.

  2. Sat in Reykjavik restaurant paying £40 for a £6 bottle of red and £25 for a pizza. Rest of our group saying why do you keep looking at your phone and then result! Ordered another bottle of wine. Don’t f*ck it up again Whites.

  3. Guess that depends on your age , I’m also from Horwich & Blackburn have been & still are a very big rival. In the late sixties they were our main opposition in terms of off-field entertainment. Mainly because both our main rivals were playing at a higher level ie Burnley & The rags. PNE was always a good day out as well but not quite the edge that a visit to Ewood had. Blackpool was always moody to say the least & I’m talking before the lad got killed. As for City , wrong side of town for me to feel that stressed although beating them was always ace. Think Wiggin have filled a bit of a void but if we play Blackburn anytime in the near future I think they will take back the mantle of our main rival.

  8. 2.8k isn't it? Can't imagine many coming without, it's probably the worst ground in the league to come to for a party unless they want to celebrate in style with a game of ten pin bowling or buy a new sofa.

  11. I've quite enjoyed this thread of a Derby fan struggling to understand the concept of it being in our own hands 😁

  12. They should be looking at an off the cuff special today £50 adults £20 kids for all 3 homes. Anyone just doing less than all 3 pays the individual match price, anyone already bought who wants to do all 3 can ring and upgrade to the package.

  14. Loving his new album. Totally different from what I’d normally listen to, but after 3-4 spins it’s a real grower. Light years away from his Seahorses material.

  15. Last minute decision to go watching The Bootleg Beatles at Buxton Opera House last night. Great band, stunning old venue. Total sell out but emailed the box office asking if they had any returns. Bingo, got one the day before. Audience was a bit like the extras from Cocoon, but hey ho, once I’d had a couple of 0% lagers and a bag of Maltesers I was rocking!

  29. It’s another unique aspect to being a Bolton fan, which strangely I quite like, that we genuinely have fans who consider some clubs to be a rival/derby, yet other wanderers fans aren’t touched by them! I embrace it all, I love it, adds a bit more passion. I’ve immersed myself in the newest version with Wigan. Even got taken along with the Morecambe debacles last few years. The Blackpools, Burnleys, Prestons Burys all have a great edge too and I really look forward to them. The Tranmeres, Wolves relationships still fester with me and is/was/could be prickly, If we are lucky enough to get alongside our other NW rivals, City, Liverpool, Everton I’d gladly embrace those derbys too. But for me it’s United closely followed by Blackburn that stand out as the ones top of the tree for rivalry. I would love to play Blackburn next year, hopefully in the Championship rather than L1.

  30. Not sure why there are blue and red circles around players when the guy on the left is actually holding the ball. I spent way too long playing spot the ball! 🤣

  38. That was more stressful than watching us that. Only 1 shot on target from Derby and that was late on. 3 points on Saturday would be huge. Oh and up the Orient.

  42. Great album. Went to see him in Manchester last year and him and his band are brilliant live too. Always gives out guestlist spots for any of his gigs to people who DM him on twitter.

  43. I'm working with a company in Agritech at the minute, with regards to growing strawbs, it's fucking massive business. Anyway, I'm working on helping them with the required lighting conditions - it's complex as fuckery, but hopefully will be worth a few quid. The place I've visited (which is apparently "secret" but you can see it from miles away, so it's can't be that secret) grows them vertically, hence they need artificial light - these things must be 30m to 40m tall. The enviroment is carefully controlled, so zero pesticides are required (allegedly) If what they're wanting to design comes off, and fingers crossed it will, then it'll be great for UK Farming export Industry, apparently - which is nice to know as you don't hear "British Agriculture" and "Success" mentioned together very often at all these days. They can also reduce the workforce from several dozen to just 2 or 3 people to run a site, as it's all done robotically, so it's a real win/win for the industry, as they generally can't get staff these days to pick the fruit. Here endeth todays news about the Strawberry Industry in the UK

  47. Not sure how I've Missed BC Camplight but his album of last year 'The Last Rotation of Earth' is right up my strasse. Apparently from New Jersey but moved to Manchester over a decade ago at the suggestion of someone on twitter or something. Anyway, late to the party but really very good, bit John Cale-esque.
