For all those tonight saying it’s delaying the inevitable - fuck off. Not because you might be wrong. But for coming on here thinking you need to make a point to people who are pointing out some positive aspects of the game. I think you must be insecure to have to keep making your point, or misguided that people don’t see this game for what it was. We know this result doesn’t tell us much about what will happen next. But we are allowed to say that Dempsey played well, it’s good to get 2 strikers scoring goals, it’s good to see the 2nd half come back and see the players playing for each other and the manager. Glad I went. Another ground ticked off and a win watching the Wanderers which is never a bad thing.18 likes

The lad is watched every day in training (where he is up against his professional peers) by multiple coaches (not just Evatt). He plays countless B Team games too. It really isn't the case that you 'just have to give these lads a chance'. The reality is that he is not yet up to it. That may not fit the narrative of those who want to see players coming through, but it's the truth.4 likes

He's not going to change. He's more interested in style of football than football that gets you promoted He'll make ridiculous excuses when he loses He'll get gassed up and make big headed statements when on a good run. Ultimately His team will fold like deck chairs and go hiding when the going gets tough When someone shows you who they are for the umpteenth time there comes a time when you have to accept the evidence put before you4 likes

He has. They all have. It's third division football. We've seen plenty of times previously though, that when we play with pace and movement, his passing is excellent, and the team also uses it better as a whole. As said above, he always tries and never shirks because it might not be working. Others do seem to go missing, particularly when given some physical stuff. Rest of the season is going to see physical stuff, so we'd better prepare for it.3 likes

Ok, it's "only" Barrow in the tinpot trophy. But there's something to be said for them coming back like that in the 2nd half, in horrible conditions, when there's already huge (deserved) pressure from the fanbase. Cracks papered for now. Hopefully there's a great big bucket of Polyfilla arriving at Lostock over the international break.3 likes

That’s Aaron Collins banned from playing for us, you ain’t allowed to shoot son! Could have cut inside and played it backwards there.3 likes

It's got cock all to do with cognitive dissonance or emotional investment It's because prices were advertised at £150 and dynamic pricing isn't common when it comes to online ticket sales 99% of those who made it to checkout have probably never heard of it And that's Because ticket master don't advertise it or tell you it will be in place before hand If people want to pay it that's up to them But don't dismiss folks anger because you know all about it and have made money off it in the past, and then try to put it on them with your psychology 101 They told folk it was £151, their platform is a lottery and with queuing numbers on display and a hit and miss approach to whether you get a chance to buy even if you get in, to then put it on folk that they pay £350 or miss out is exploitation3 likes

I'm not arsed about seeing the whiny manc cunts personally, but my lad and my youngest both wanted to go, so as a family the four of us were begrudgingly going to spend £600 of my hard earned money on the tickets. When I eventually got to the point of paying for said tickets, the price was over £1200 and I just wasn't paying for it. Dress it up how you want, it's essentially legalised touting. If it's £5 a pint in your local and you're in on New Year's Eve around 2pm drinking at that price, nobody's agreeing with the prices being £10 later in the day/evening because it got busy.3 likes

I don't think so. Lad and dad for example, lad has been brought up listening to Oasis and this is a chance of a lifetime for them to go and watch them together. Something they never thought they'd get chance to do. They're a bit hard up, but Dad is willing to stump up the £300 or so because it's one of those lifetime moments for the pair of them. Comes to checking out though and the cost has gone to £700 or so. Dad has to say, "Sorry son, we just can't afford that." Okay, so maybe I'm romanticising it a little, but I'm sure there have been many cases not too dissimilar.3 likes

Exactamundo. It may not be illegal, but it's very damn well immoral. There will doubtless have been thousands of families around the country who had thought long and hard if they could afford the £150 to attend one of the concerts. They then sit in a queue for hours on end to find the price has more than doubled and suddenly they simply can't afford it at all. It's absolute bollocks. I see that the cost of holidays has been mentioned during school holidays, whilst this is also profiteering, at least you know the cost of it before you go to book it. You don't see the price, have a chat with the travel agent, then sit down to book it and it's doubled. If the Gallaghers had anything about them they'd do something to sort this. Their fans are what made them ... but now those same fans are being absolutely shafted.3 likes

I've backed him all the way, but he probably should have gone the day after Wembley. He was entrusted with money this summer, but he seems to have made us look worse and Saturday was the final straw for me.3 likes

I reckon plenty of these opinions about players' performances could have been written before a ball was kicked tonight. Anyway, a win and all our forwards off the mark for the season. And time to fix some of our many issues over the break. That's me out of positives, but I've give it a good go.2 likes

Not beating a first man with corner or freekick should be fined a weeks wages. That will save FV some serious money2 likes

Their plan is unsettling us so far (as usual). I wonder how they managed to figure out how we’d set our stall out tonight, given how we like to mix things up now and then. Not. 🙄2 likes

BN says he has a back injury that hasn't cleared up. If true, a fucking joke. I'd not true, and he's off to Turkey, then that's also a fucking joke.2 likes

You’ve spent a lot of time explaining it. I could write an essay on pyramid selling. Some on here may not be familiar with it. Thats another odious practice. It’s now illegal. It didn’t used to be and many suffered. You’d probably agree with it. Caveat emptor.2 likes

Couple of points for balance: 2 of those chances were in the same move (after Charles fluffed the volley). We couldn't have scored both. You could pull up 3 or 4 equally good positions for Exeter that they didn't score from. Feels a bit clutching at straws to me. Anyway, lets hope for shitloads of chances and goals tonight to brighten the mood.2 likes

Little old granny just came to her door with her usual £10 for the windows. Took her bloody ages to come to door. I told her it's now £30 based on dynamic pricing. She refused to pay so I booted her over and threw eggs at her windows.2 likes

Would be an upgrade on Vic , an actual target man rather than someone who should be but who is unable to trap a bag of cement.2 likes

If you are paying £150 for a concert ticket the 'thought long and hard' point is IMO bollocks. However jacking up advertised prices in the way they have is immoral. Just shows the 'lads' are proper music industry whores.2 likes

The whole thing is a nonsense. Kompany's approach at Burnley last season was laughable, sticking resolutely to giving comical goals in every week till they sank, yet he's evidently shown enough to get a big gig like Bayern. Pep has evolved and updated his approach, to stay ahead of the rest, bringing in a big physical presence up front who can also stretch defences and allow balls to played over the top of opposing defences. Both his wide players want to face the goal and go at people. Evatt's still stuck on Pep v 1.02 likes

No, it's a cunts trick because they gave no indication they were going to do it £150 for standing was more than enough They always add their own fees on They don't do it at the football Or cinema Or theatre They don't even do it at most gigs I don't recall Peter Kay doing it It's not a common practice for gigs and shows2 likes

Have a look at the report in the BN. According to IE, that's why he put certain players on the bench on Saturday- so they're available for tonight. Toal has a grade 2 muscle tear- and will be out for 2 or 3 weeks. Yet NI have still called him up! Arfield has a hamstring injury, so he's also out. Does beg the question about training methods- Toal isn't the first to get crocked during those sessions.1 like

Zero importance for our season goals but the game has become incredibly important for confidence, both with the players and the fans. Lose this and knives are well and truly out.1 like

It's pretty easy to get round the rules and no need to play anything approaching a first team. The rules are you need 4 outfield player "first teamers" who they classify as, either having started the last league or start the next (defenders/attackers we rotate would be good here), someone with 40 first team appearances in their career (older backups fine here), or players on loan from cat A academies (we usually have a glut of these, not too many this season though). So no reason at all to play more than 4 first teamers, and even some of them could be non-regulars. We keep choosing to put out overly strong teams.1 like

I hope it doesn’t get to the stage where fans are singing “Evatt out”. The boos at full time were only a glimpse of how toxic I’ve seen the stadium in recent years. Evatt has done a lot for us and may still turn it around. If I was SB I probably wouldn’t be giving IE an ultimatum of “improve in the next 10 games or you’re gone” but more monitoring the situation as it goes. Someone said before we have to be 1000% sure because it is a massive decision. I’m sure Sharon will take a balanced and pragmatic assessment of the situation and make the best decision for BWFC. I trust Sharon more than I trust anyone else at the club. An earlier exit may save SB and IE some dignity. It’s cliche now but the attached image seems relevant:1 like

Play the strongest side. They need to learn the system to give us half a chance in the league. Treat it like the pre season game they haven’t had or whatever shit excuse he rolls out1 like
