For all those tonight saying it’s delaying the inevitable - fuck off. Not because you might be wrong. But for coming on here thinking you need to make a point to people who are pointing out some positive aspects of the game. I think you must be insecure to have to keep making your point, or misguided that people don’t see this game for what it was. We know this result doesn’t tell us much about what will happen next. But we are allowed to say that Dempsey played well, it’s good to get 2 strikers scoring goals, it’s good to see the 2nd half come back and see the players playing for each other and the manager. Glad I went. Another ground ticked off and a win watching the Wanderers which is never a bad thing.7 likes

Massively improved 2nd half and a superb performance from Dempsey the playing around at the back simply has to stop it’s a mistake waiting to happen feels so uncomfortable Bit of a shitter having no game as I bet they just want to go again and put Exeter behind them, I won’t get excited as seen it before but let’s hope this is a turning point👍3 likes

Good riddance. No doubt he knows his corporate bollocks, but he knows fuck all about real football fans, nor does he care. He’s everything that’s wrong about modern football.2 likes

If that's true and the Swiss people want to exert more authority then there could be some times of change on the horizon2 likes

You’ve lost me with Grenfell here. Are you suggesting a load of companies who fabricated test results on cladding are being made scapegoats? There should be some massive jail sentences handed out for what’s taken place there. Kingspan are shitting themselves and rightly so the fucking slimy Irish cunts.2 likes

Comments taken from https://www.barrowafc.net/viewtopic.php?t=33257&sid=4df878f74e4aa2cecfe8e46e0bf0c5f0 Fans not very happy. Worried about players picking up injuries rather than the result. They have a history of not having to slum it like us and have a successful history. Times change .2 likes

But “the surge” had happened before a single ticket had been sold. The servers knew at 8.59am that demand was 10:1 for what was available. Why didn’t they go up to £350 at 9am? Its a wankers trick when folk aren’t told. We know airlines do it, but as was mentioned, there are other options.2 likes

It's got cock all to do with cognitive dissonance or emotional investment It's because prices were advertised at £150 and dynamic pricing isn't common when it comes to online ticket sales 99% of those who made it to checkout have probably never heard of it And that's Because ticket master don't advertise it or tell you it will be in place before hand If people want to pay it that's up to them But don't dismiss folks anger because you know all about it and have made money off it in the past, and then try to put it on them with your psychology 101 They told folk it was £151, their platform is a lottery and with queuing numbers on display and a hit and miss approach to whether you get a chance to buy even if you get in, to then put it on folk that they pay £350 or miss out is exploitation2 likes

I don't think so. Lad and dad for example, lad has been brought up listening to Oasis and this is a chance of a lifetime for them to go and watch them together. Something they never thought they'd get chance to do. They're a bit hard up, but Dad is willing to stump up the £300 or so because it's one of those lifetime moments for the pair of them. Comes to checking out though and the cost has gone to £700 or so. Dad has to say, "Sorry son, we just can't afford that." Okay, so maybe I'm romanticising it a little, but I'm sure there have been many cases not too dissimilar.2 likes

I suppose most clubs in the Prem would love to have the talent and depth that Man U have. But being better than most clubs isn't the target. The depth is decent, we'll always be able to field a competitive L1 team even if we have a load of injuries, but IMO the players and tactics (eg defending set pieces) are short of the quality needed compared to the clubs that will win stuff. We've got plenty good players and strength in depth but we continue to have iffy wingbacks, poor set piece delivery, lack of players that can shoot or cross well, lack of physicality especially up front and at full back. We'll win plenty games and finish top half but clearly something missing if we want top 6 and more IMO.1 like

Hello - sorry to interfere. what and how is Ricky santos to blame for that? Answers on a postcard? Jonson playing barrow lad onside by some dosile defensive positioning. has anyone noticed or just some sort of agenda against santos? One of the saddest days of the clubs history against Exeter shortly followed by one of the best against barrow. mutley14.1 like

Well I suppose the left back is a centre back and the backups are two wingers and a right back. My other worry would be centre mid personally, think if you lost Matete you're right back to the issue we have now with either a lack of quality on the ball or a lack of physicality. I think if the plan was to ever consider switching to this we'd have kept Iredale and Morley/Khumbeni around the squad.1 like

Much better 2nd half, but dont get the one yard pass from Matete to George and back in the middle of the park, then trying to go through the middle. Just inviting trouble. There was loads of times in the 2nd half when Schon was in acres of space, but we just took to long to get the ball to him, taking 3/4 passes instead of one. We was poor at the back, Santos looked very sluggish, George had an indifferent game, thought Matheson played well, just caught out of position a few times, Demps as to start the next game, good to see our forwards getting on the goal trail. All in all need to be much better, but, a wins a win.1 like

I have a screw picket at home. Dug up near High Wood on the Somme (I didn't dig it up by the way). Along with a few shell cases that I found, also near High Wood.1 like

Positives, mcatee and collins scoring Schon finally ran at his man a couple of times Matheson looked very comfortable and an attacking threat Ill not do negatives as we have enough wrist slashers1 like

Couldnt have given the slightest fuck about the result , I wanted to be entertained . I was , 5 goals could have been 8 , some really good football from both sides , whats not to like ? Very strange how some folk that would have preferred us to forfit the match are now slagging off the team for winning but not winning good enough . And then you cant be too negative or you get told to fuck off by a sycophantic cunt 😄 Dempsey man of the match , Matheson a very close second.1 like

Schon was better 2nd half. Need see a bit more of him to make a proper judgement. The most worrying thing is the amount of shit goals we've conceded this season. Not going anywhere if we keep giving the opposition 2 goals. Thomasson was shit tonight. Gave ball away about 50 times. Simple passes. He's been good this year but tonight he wasn't1 like

Even League 2 teams know now how to play against us. Play in a mid block, press when we're deep but keep wide players back to mark our wing backs, wait for us to make a mistake or concede a set piece and score from it.1 like

This reminded me very much of this: American soldier describing the British Army:- Those Brits are a strange old race. They show affection by abusing each other; will think nothing of casually stopping in the middle of a fire fight for their 'brew up' and eat food that I wouldn't give to a dying dog but, fuck me, I would rather have one British squaddie on my side than an entire battalion of spetznaz! Why? Because the British are the only people in the world who, when the chips are down and there seems no hope left, instead of getting sentimental or hysterical will strap on their pack, charge their rifle, light up a smoke and with a calm and wry grin say "Well, are we going then you wanker?".1 like
