  1. Oddly I thought we defended alright overall, but the total negativity killed us from first minute. It's division 3 ffs, division 3. We're meant to be challengers for promotion and just acted like total cowards.

  2. Watching Birmingham reminded me how we used to play under Evatt. Quick passing, players making space, winning the ball back quickly, tiring the opposition out. We had a system that worked. Everyone knew their roles. If a player was injured we'd have a back up player to fill that place. The identity Evatt built up has gone and I think that's what pisses me off most about this team. Anyone know what formation we played tonight? Looked like a 523 again. Recruitment has been shocking too. Schon 1m? Weak as piss ... McAtee 1m? Anyone know what his main position is? Arfield? utterly pointless. Papering over the cracks with our mini winning run. Tonight was a reality check of how backwards we've gone.

  3. I am, and have been since I left school. The first thing I signed up to was the Pension Scheme, the second was the Union. 2 of the best decisions I've ever made.

  4. It’s not the defeat, it’s the same predictable performance which comes whenever we play a good team or games of importance. The team is gutless. I do feel Evatt has created a team of yes men who won’t question anything and will simply toe the line. There isn’t a genuine captain in the entire squad.

  5. Absolutely schooled from start to finish. They're a quality side, but fck me that was pathetic. We continue to go backwards under Evatt

  6. Another big game, another bottle job performance. Lost the vast majority of second balls and played without any belief for the majority of the game. It’s getting to the point where you can almost write off any big game we play. It’s so so predictable. Evatts tactics have got us so far, but they won’t get us out this league. It’s a shame but it’s time for the ownership to get ruthless.

  7. I don’t think anyone is panicking. Think it’s more the realisation the team is going backwards, the manager and his system is a busted flush and there doesn’t seem to be any improvement that can be made…

  8. Pros - he's clearly come up with a plan specifically to counter Brum Cons - it's a fucking shit plan. Men against boys this, fucking embarrassing. (cue half time Evatt masterstroke and 4-1 win for us)

  9. I know they've spent millions upon millions, but their manager has not even had a full time proper league club before this job, younger than Evatt who has been here 5 years and we look miles off it. We're not frigging Lincoln City, we're Bolton Wanderers, finished a game away from the Championship last season and have spent money this summer as well. And the best we can do is that!?

  13. It's not really a meltdown. Just a lot of people acknowledging we're going backwards. A managerial change would freshen up us and Evatt. It's gone stale

  15. Disappointing but don't get the wrist slashing. Playing a £30m team away from home without our best keeper, a RWB at RCB and our captain/key midfielder. McAtee puts the first chance away and we get a draw. Things need to improve, we're not in top form. Last season's play off cock up means we've had 4 weeks less rest and 4 weeks less to prepare this summer. We will improve. Chances need to be taken and we need to get on top of why players keep getting injured.

  16. I'm a happy clapper but I will never get that team selection for as long as I've got a hole in my arse. No idea what he was thinking and I swear this Arfield thing could be the thing that takes him down.

  18. Manager has to take the blame tonight that starting eleven was wank, absolutely no ambition at all and the players looked terrified from the off. The difference McAtee made when he came on just highlights it for me that we’re going nowhere with Evatt in charge. His pre match comments about them being above everyone else was a sickener and you could see the effect it had on the players. Lose on Saturday and he has to go for me.

  21. Real Madrid they are not. All set up for a smash n grab this. Dull expectant home atmosphere, home commentators piping each other off In a Birmingham love frenzy. Thing is, we can get better second half. They look like us at home when we play the dregs. Fairly comfortable but not killers. We can score next, no doubt about it. We just need some belief and ma man GT to bring out his fireworks tin. 1-2 full time.

  23. You are clearly a moonman. I am no fan of Boris Johnson but even if he did miss a phone call from Putin it has absolutely bollocks all to do with what has gone on. Putin is a deranged megalomaniac who is intent on putting the old Soviet Union back together. He needs to be met with force as it is the only language he understands.

  25. Give over. Ukraine won't concede territory unless the war is effectively lost, or it becomes inevitable. At which point it would likely become a guerilla type conflict. For Ukraine to lose, support from elsewhere would have to drop off. How that means VZ will end up being murdered by his own I can't understand. He had never wavered from his fight for his people and country.

  28. Aye there were shit tons in Blackpool. Fucking brilliant people. Clean tidy, graft their balls off, houses kept immaculate. Kids all polite and well bought up. Loads left because they could earn more back home. The exchange rate mixed with rising bills here meant it wasn't worth living here. Left a massive void in the hotel sector here. Shame other demographics of people who come don't share their ways and ethics.

  29. It will be interesting to see how we set up. I think a mid block/press might be the way to go. Allowing them to have the ball at the back, but pressing them aggressively once at the half way line. This might allow us to press but without being torn inside out and have bodies back if they try to play through. We are all unsure about what Bolton will turn up and who knows. But one thing for sure is that we are one of the best pressing sides in the league, maybe this will catch Birmingham by surprise who so far have been so used to having all the time they want on the ball. Yes they're a good side but we know that this team are capable of giving anybody a game, they're just inconsistent. Im leaning more towards us playing well but getting nothing to show for it, undone by a defensive mistake and a Charles howler at the other end. Pompey away part 2. But im hoping that the right Bolton turns up tonight and not what 90% of us are all expecting.

  36. Shame if Toal isn't fit so assuming Forrester isn't ready, I'd stick with Saurday's defence but crucially have Matete or Arfield as an extra man in midfield. I'm quietly confident with my 0-3 @ 55/1 and 1-3 ( just in case they get a lucky, undeserved but meaningless late consolation goal ) @ 30/1. 🙂

  38. Our country in the state it's in, post brexit, has less opportunity and more obstacles for economic EU migrants. It has more opportunity for Eastern European car washers/ barbers or money launderers. We also removed ourselves from the table of discussion about how to stop illegal migrants crossing the channel or coming on Lorries. Hence numbers being at all time highs.

He was in a car that was used in a shooting the previous day and tried to ram police off the road. What did he expect to happen. Good riddance. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/videos/cvgwgrld8v2oDr

Maybe, just maybe, with a population crisis on the horizon, it might have been an idea to stay in the biggest trading block on the planet with freedom of movement instead of ostracising ourselves to the rest of Europe and only being attractive to every wafe&stray across the planet instead of true economic migrants capable of creating some kind of positive input to our economy and society?
