It’s unbelievable that half of US voters will be voting for someone who is such an absolute disgrace to humanity. Being voted in once in 2016 was bad enough, but twice?? Deary me. It’s not as though Americans don’t know what they’re going to get with him (corruption, greed, racism, sexism, adoration for dictators and distain for democracy etc etc) so we can only assume this is what they want. A US friend said a few years back that Trump didn’t create these views, but just legitimised them for his “base”. Still why anyone would vote for someone who is clearly so thick is beyond me. The only things he’s good at sadly are projection and gaslighting. The main worry I think though is that he is not the main danger, rather the Project 2025 lunatics lurking in the shadows. Worrying times not just for US democracy but also global stability. Nothing that’s not been said on the previous 123 pages I’m sure, but with their election 2 weeks away I fear the worst based on the latest polls. Only in America.5 likes

I’m not defending the response to 9/11 which was also ill fated and disproportionate in many ways. However, this is worse. We should not provide weapons for a regime to indiscriminately kill children and civilians.3 likes

No, the point is that Sadlier & Kachunga have failed to impress anywhere and Maghoma wasn't out player, but did look good for us. I'm no Evatt fan-boy, but I back him on letting the above players leave.2 likes

Given what the last 14 years has brought this country I wouldn't be quite so dismissive of our cousins across the pond. Populism shifted the Overton window, so that what 15-20 years ago would seem outlandish is now the norm, where a person running for president can say outwardly dangerous things and sail close to the wind on facist/dictator style rhetoric and its normalised and even promoted by supporters and certain media channels. I mean, I'm pretty sure Bolty is in full comand of his faculities and not a stupid man but look at how he defends this, moves the target when there is critisims and doesn't see anything wrong with saying things like a benign dictatorship is the best sort of government without irony. Anyone posting stuff like that 15 years ago would have be laughed at quite rightly, but this is where the political frame is currently. One hopes we can start shifting the dial a little bit.2 likes

My dad used to do the Accounts for Carrs Pasties when they just had the shop on Halliwell Road. Used to get a tray from there on Bonfire night went down a treat at our bonfire.2 likes

The rules are so easy to pass. 4 "qualified players" only needed to start. And "qualified player" can be any player with 40 professional appearances, so Arfield and 3 other fringe players needing game time. The rest can be B teamers. Ridiculous that we've played such strong teams and are now complaining of injuries1 like

Dapo wanted out in the end. For whatever reason he saw his future elsewhere. Wasn't the same towards the end of his time, so in the end the best was achieved for everyone.1 like

What list is that then? I know all his failings, we all do. Bringing up a load of players that have left doesn't confirm a single thing. Many have come in and done well. There's next to fuck all that belonged to us that have left and are doing better elsewhere. If Wycombe finish above us this season I'll platt fog btw. ....and who knows. A run in the first team for Morley instead of stagnating of the bench might have done him good and in Jan we get a brand new signing. That's how the loan system works right? The lad didn't want to sit on the bench.1 like

Your list of excuses for Evatt is bollocks. Our manager is a fraud with no idea how to get the best out of our squad or how to set them up.1 like

Mrs went on one. Decided to play the arrogant know it all arsehole that she can be occasionally. Was well and truly put in her place in front of everyone. Learned her lesson1 like

Good human and player. Left one year too soon IMO. Shouldn't derail our push for 2nd spot 🤔1 like

Good luck to him. Good servant Few rumours that he asked for short term as he’s still interested in player/manager job at our place. Supposed release clause.1 like

I'd say being a cat owner and a fan of unlistenable post punk, stupidly loud and fast Metal and traditional folk nose flute music makes me eminently sensible 😁1 like

Morley is playing for Wycombe where he's walked straight in to the team. Who's place is he taking in our team when are midfield is fit? He wanted first team football and asked to leave. Dapo could only play in a system that we didn't play. That particular system was successful. If he was still here he would have the same issue. Evatt tried him in every single position available. None of which worked unless he was off the left in a 442 or similar. Which flawed system are we talking about here? The one that didn't work at the start of the season? Or the one that worked getting 13 points out of 15 and nearly got us promoted last season?1 like

Mushy peas are only for Xmas day 😡 Funnily enough, I had a macaroni pie for the first time ever the other week, it was delicious. Which surprised me, as I thought it might be a bit rank1 like

To be offered the option of going on a speed awareness course rather than paying a fine and getting points on your licence, you must fit the following criteria: 1. It must be your first offence in the last three years 2. You've been caught driving over 10% plus 2mph of the limit, but below 10% plus 9mph. In other words, if you were in a 30mph zone, this means anything between 35mph and 42mph, while for those driving in a 70mph zone, it means anything between 79mph and 86mph.1 like

indeed, if you're not good enough for Scotch football, then the chance of being a success in our 3rd division is a stretch, especially when you're at the tail end of your career. I bet he couldn't believe his luck when we came knocking1 like

Morley wanted first team football and asked to leave. He was absolutely bobbins last season. He comes nowhere near the first team with everyone fit. He only just about makes it now with 2 lads out. What the fuck are people on about?1 like

I'd rather they didn't trapse down the drive setting off the security cameras and lights in the first place though (never mind sending the ferocious cockapoos into a frenzy, by ringing the door bell)1 like

Lobby. Absolutely NOT with corned beef. Black peas for the idiots. Picked red cabbage, onions or whatever. Treacle toffee seems to suit the cooler weather. Also make a pumpkin cake, lightly spiced, with dark sugars. Rich, moisture and really tasty.1 like

If we lose badly against Peterborough, Sharon will reward him a new three year deal, a third assistant manager, three more attackers costing a million each in Jan, extra shares in the club & another 100K loan to help him out.1 like

The problem is unfixable. The problem is that players at this level can't play the football he wants to play and he refuses to change. League one is simple: - Hard man in the middle with a creative ball player next to him - Pacy wingers - Reliable finisher Against good teams you look to counter and against rubbish ones you press. These allow you to grind out positive results against teams as good as you or better. We can't do that right now and while IE is the manager sure we might batter a Cambridge occasionally, we'll never reliably be able to pick up points and thus promotion is basically impossible, bar just plain luck.1 like

I have really dialled back on my ale after realising it may help me come off some medication. Noticed my blood pressure is well down which is good. Not sure what it will do to cholesterol (these are the tablets I want to fuck off as I am getting tinnitus). I’ve realised I enjoy a few beers when I want but happy to go without. Big issue has been increasing the number of crisps I have. Sat in the pub having a bag with every pop. anyway not sure the point of it all but I ran a 55min 10k which I didn’t think I could so pretty chuffed1 like

The more time I spend out of England the more I long to never have to go back. I'd move away and never go back in a heartbeat. Shit, cold, rain sodden shit country that's going backwards. It's full to the brim of sponging shit cunts and horrible people. Everyone is down and miserable and you're getting ripped off all over the place.1 like
