Fair play to you. Sandwiched a Santos bash into a thread that’s not even vaguely related to him 😂.
  2. Those wet wipes fighting on the front line to protect their land Putin expected to take the whole country & install a pro Russian government. If not for a united effort from Europe, the UK & the US, we’d be looking at a proxy Russian government. Fckn wet wipes 😂 You’ve become a Putin supporter fella

Yes I'm sure it's the loan signing of a fourth-choice strikers that's done it. Probably sick of nonces on social media sending him abuse for doing his job

If you don't think they're getting things done, you're just not paying attention.
  11. I see JD Vance delivered a gaslighting master class in his non-relevant speech in Munich today, slagging off his supposed allies whilst promoting extremism and telling us Putin isn’t the main concern. How did he say this with a straight face?… "We know very well in America that you cannot win a democratic mandate by censoring your opponents or putting them in jail, whether that's the leader of the opposition, a humble Christian praying in her own home, or a journalist trying to report the news," he said. “Lock her up” anyone? “Fake news” anyone? January 6th anyone? etc….. Really sad how the US has lost its moral compass so quickly.

  13. Inspirational eh? When the night of the long knives finally comes, I am sure he will look at that each day to drive him on.
  14. Bod seems to be doing well at Burton. Was gutted we didn't re-sign him. I'm probably looking at it with rose tints but thought he was skilful, held it up well and could win headers, think him going was a small part of many for our recent decline. Don't remember him being as injury prone as everyone made out and we could have kept him on a very low contract due to that reputation. Different planet compared to Vic.
  15. Yep, little known about his true responsibilities/influence.
  16. No. Matt Goodwin was the only one talking sense. Monbiot of the type who has guided the world to the mess we now see. A vegan extremist of the 'far left'. Ignore.
  17. Confirmed by Shrewsbury TO, you can do upgrades on the day

  28. Fair enough. Should of offered em 2k then.
  29. Its not just play offs, its any EFL game, 10% or 2k whichever is less. I'm sure we got less than 10% at Stockport, and same at Wrexham, but them's the rules.
  30. Why did they let him and Evatt spend so much weeks ago. Seems even more baffling now.

  33. the minimum is 2,000 when we gave Barnsley the top tier only in the play offs they got 2,100ish (and we got the same in return at their place) as thats what they gave us the year before so maybe it's top tier only, and that's actually 2,600 capacity dunno

  35. Owing to my interest in aeroplanes and flying I have been following events since a Russian SAM was fired by Ukrainian separists and brought down a Malaysian airliner, well before the invasion. Also my interest was fired by the fact I had a very pleasant holiday in Kiev and Odessa back in the 70s and have fond memories of playing chess with the old men (i never won)

Oh what days they were. Loved being in my 20's roaming around Europe watching Bolton. My Dad used to pity me for not getting to see Lofthouse or Worthington play. I pity my son for not being able to watch us in Europe. Really hope he gets something soon to pass that feeling down to his own kids! How crap was Matt Taylors header in the build up to that goal by the way!
  37. If the Americans get enjoyment watching that crap like Super Bowl you never know

quite correct both Desmond and Dempsey have been quality.....And with all those out of contract at the end of the season i would offer Dempsey a pay as you play contract. Yes i can see the point of gambling one perhaps two at a push players who we might not get otherwise with their playing record, but we seem to have 6/9 players unavailable for the last three seasons every week. If you have a 24 man squad having up to a third unavailable week on week is one reason we have not progressed

Maybe a clue is that all those i have named had bad injuries in the last 12 months at their previous clubs No need to be Mystic whatsoever We Even signed Southwood with a broken leg.......you could not make it up!!
  45. Totally agree - I didn't say it was a bad thing - in fact I'd expect any new manager to take the time to have a good look at the squad and system options. My point was that whilst it will obviously benefit us in the long term, it would be a fair bit of luck to discover our best option(s) immediately and until then we are unlikely to be the best we can be, whatever that is. Which is why I'm not thinking about the playoffs FOR NOW... Contrary to the propaganda I haven't "given up" on the playoffs - I'm just not framing every game as a "must win if we are to keep our playoff hopes alive" thing. I'm trying to stick with "let's see what Shumacher does during the current process" and hope it's enough. If we're there or thereabouts towards the end of the season I have no doubt the playoff thing will be back in my thinking but I don't see the point of worrying about it whilst Schumacher is getting his head round what we have and how to use it. Until then I'll be in the "one game at a time" camp.

An example of the totally inept recruitment conducted by Markham & co.with their spreadsheet player evaluations.Absolute bollocks.
  47. Spot on. At his best, he's still one of the top League One defenders, albeit with youth no longer on his side. And he's been outstanding at times this season. His form really has been reflective of the squad - up and down. No idea on his current situation, but just after Xmas he was already looking at the logistics of a move back down south and, as you say, i'd be fairly sure he's pretty much fixed up already. Orient, Peterboro, QPR - plenty for him to go at and he'll get one more really decent deal. I do hope he plays again. He deserves to leave on a high with the fans and, on his day, still the best centre half we have. Struggle to see him playing in a 2 though, so depends how SS wants to set up
