  7. Just from a personal point of view, I know just as many bolton fans that are Celtic "fans" as I do Rangers "fans". For what it's worth, I tell all them to shut up when they start with their views on either side of the argument. Absolutey boring bullshit!!

  9. Starmer seemingly getting along with Trump and performing well in front of the world's press is proper boiling the piss of all the gammons on X. It's beautiful. Some say it's the most beautiful thing they've ever seen.

  10. Oh come on mate...... We were all hoping he could pull something out of the bag and you know it. And he can have three Nobel Peace Prizes for all I care.

  11. As much as Starmer appeared to have done quite well yesterday, does anyone really trust Trump to stick to any agreement, or even to agree one of any note in the first place? Unless there are sensible people in the background, sorting things, then there seems little point in enthusing over simple platitudes. Of course, as he said in the meeting, he does what is right for Americans, and that seems reasonable, but he could find himself out on a limb if other leaders just decide to fuck it all off.

  16. Which again would only make sense if he was in charge of sentencing. Which he isn't. The only real influence he would have would be in creating an atmosphere of urgency through public messaging. Which I think was exactly the right thing to do given that people were literally trying to burn asylum seekers to death at the time and we had riots all over the country. Do you genuinely believe that Keir Starmer would like to imprison millions of people? I'm going to assume you're taking the piss there.

  19. Carbon monoxide has no smell or colour, so there is no warning. As levels built up, it is reasonable that they would both succumb at pretty much the same time. Sleepy then gradual death. If early symptoms aren't recognised then you're in trouble. The molecules form a permanent bond with the haemoglobin, rendering it useless for gas exchange, so the body can't get oxygen nor release carbon dioxide.

  22. Bizarrely I've got his old petrol lawnmower in my shed. My mate did rewire at his old house and he'd left it behind when he moved. The new people had artificial grass done. (It's free to a good home if anyone wants it) It only mows sideways and backwards mind.

  28. As did I, whilst I'm not fan of Starmer, to my mind he seemed to handle Trump a lot better than I can imagine somebody like Johnson, Truss or Badenoch doing

  30. He played a blinder, and made a lot of his critics look like the daft hypocrites they are. It would be silly to believe anything Trump said in response though. He basically just agrees with whatever the last person he spoke to said, hence him pretending he never called Zelenskyy a dictator.

  32. Obviously, the devil will be in the detail, and you'd have to be insane to get excited about anything that Trump says off the cuff. Fingers crossed though that Starmer can sort some sort of trade deal, as the previous lot didn't manage to, or indeed even get close to agreeing one

  36. Good for them. I thought the area round the gardens looked good, though maybe some brighter street lights wouldn't go amiss. That place is like a tardis, all sorts going on at the same time. Anyway, I'll have that mower if it's still available!

  38. Remember when won cricket World Cup every player knew their job. We now have a couple of batsmen (Root and Duckett) , 2 or 3 bowlers and a bunch whose batting is not good enough nor is their bowling. But have about 14 who can keep wicket. Brook will be great player one day and ain’t far off now but the ECB do not play meaningful 50 over cricket preferring the shite that is the Hundred no wonder we do. not produce the right players.

  39. That cup game last season was ridiculous. The South Stand to our left was completely empty, yet the police made everyone go the opposite way directly in to foot traffic from the packed North Stand.
