  2. Taking each game as it comes in this run of tough ones, a good, well earned point that we'd have had little expectation of a month ago. More evidence of SS's impact on the mentality of the squad, players prepared to do things that they wouldn't fancy or thought were alien to them under IE, personal and collective responsibility being taken. All great to see. A win on Tuesday won't make us certs for the autos, a defeat won't mean we'll slip away from the play offs, get behind them and enjoy seeing what happens, the general progress is good, clear and obvious

  3. It’s plainly obvious that the status quo can’t continue, although some seem happy with it. The only thing I agree with Trump on is that he also believes it. The way he’s going about it though is wrong and embarrassing for the US. Biden failed in giving Ukraine the resources they needed to change that status quo in Ukraines favour. As did the rest of the western alliance. Trump is exploiting the previous weaknesses. Hopefully, an alliance involving Europe and others (Canada/Australia etc.) will fill the void if the US withdraws support.

  4. This is how you publically address an Ally who's been invaded by an adversary.

  5. ie and his bum chums on here were a big blow to this season. So obvious it was going tits up but we were told to stop being moaners. That said, it’s gone. For me it’s a free hit this season. If we make it, great. If not. This man can deliver the big season we all crave.

  6. Was there a bit yesterday when Zelensky asked JD Vance to visit Ukraine - and JD Vance refused because he said the Ukrainians would just take him on a propaganda tour to all the worst bits? What a complete and total fuckwit!

  7. Tremendous battling point away from home at a top 3 team. Not bad for a collection of shit non league standard players.

  8. One way of looking at it. Last week we did the double over Orient, which has led to them dropping out of the top six. We've beaten Huddersfield, held Wrexham twice, and drawn at Wycombe. Still to play top two at home, and Stockport. I think someone has drilled a hole in your cup, well below half way. Negativity reached new heights tonight.

  13. VZ's first and only thought has to be how to save his country from tyranny. There are and have been some issues over the way he has phrased things since being invaded- I have posted about them previously- however his country has been attacked and he can't be overly criticised for pushing for every bit of assistance possible. This disrespectful business idea though is bizarre: he's just been referred to by Trump as a dictator for fuck's sake; is that not disrespectful? Musk claimed he ate the bodies of the fallen! That's straight out of a Russian pkaybook, and is the comment of a wanker. The dictator is on the other side of the border, and is the same bloke for pushing towards world war 3, not the Ukrainian president, as Trump also said. VZ is a president unlike virtually any other- elected almost as a protest against other candidates, then thrust into a war not of his own making. Without doubt he may have been better off massaging Trump's ego, but at what cost economically later, and in terms of his country's land and borders. Equally, Trump could show him some respect, some empathy etc. Put himself in his position for example, and consider his situation. I've no issue with Trump playing hard ball with those who look to do the same, but this is entirely different. Yet perversely, with nothing to lose, VZ has played hard ball back, and Trump has got fuck all back, as he was hoping to get.

  20. Different type of “very good” performance in my eyes to the usual eye catching type that you’d usually class as a brilliant performance. The amount of times that a pass went astray and it could have been dangerous but he was there to mop up, a full back was caught out up the pitch and he was there covering, ball breaks on the edge of our area and he was first to it etc.. I don’t think anyone was going to stand out today for the nice parts of the game, I just thought he was unbelievably solid as a centre mid in a horrible scrappy game and I’m delighted to have him back in our shirt.

  24. In which case, with the possible exception of Birmingham, no one is championship quality. Turning into a reasonable record so far against the top sides. It doesn't matter how good or not the team is with regards to the championship- we simply have to be good enough to get promoted. Seemed to be IE's blind spot: get ready for the championship, without realising that it wouldn't just happen because he thought we had the best team.

  25. What's gone is gone. But it does frustrate and even annoys me to think of some of the games that we've bottled or just not performed in this year under IE. He way outstayed his welcome and did considerable damage to this season. Totally a mute point, I know but what could have been with Steven from game 1?

  33. Alex Murphy is a bit of a concern. Plays everything at once pace which is usually a step behind what’s required. whether that’s making a pass. Stopping a cross. Making a challenge, the pace of the game and/or the pressure he’s put under is absolutely irrelevant

  34. So the killing stops But Ukraine have lost 15/20% of their territory? Which is literally a win for Putin by force and bullying. Would you just accept it if a neighbour decided he wanted half your back garden and would batter members of your family if you said no? Would you fuck. Side with Putin if you like, but it’s not for me.

  37. No matter how much Tango child spouts his populists nonsense I've always thought that Trump has got a team of Humphrey Appleby's in the shadows doing the real work. To a point I still think this. But the sycophantic entourage he has put in to positions around him are very loud. Although not a major power at the time the Trump administration remind me of Wimbledon from the 80s. Route one for result and a cabinet made up of Vinny Jones, Fashanu, Sanchez, Cork, Wise etc.. For world leaders what I saw yesterday was embarrassingly undignified. A schoolyard ambush by bigger boys. I get where Trump is coming from but it's all very ugly.

  38. Well Bolty hasn’t weighed in yet, so I think we’ve yet to see the gold. I assume he wanked himself into a coma watching the press conference for the 8th time and banged his head when he slumped unconscious from his Vespa air fryer
