I wish all our recent signings had failed as badly as Cogley.

  5. I do find that as a dissmive odd. So commenting on the issues you might have with the leader of the free world on a politics thread obsessive? Just another way to try and shut down any dissenting voice.
  6. Good news though.

Our 5 is down to 1 attending. I am the 1 and not sure can be arsed. Yoof completes on first house on Friday, so got loads to do to help them. This is my main reason for thinking of going the game.

Like Darts, given a year of playing 4 or 5 hours a day, you'd easily make the world top 10. If you're not knocking in century breaks after a month of playing every day, then you probably need to go and see a Doctor, as you must have some "motor control" issues. Snooker, I'd argue, is even easier to play than darts. It's piss easy. The fact that those who were the best in the world, 25 years ago, still pretty much are, shows how piss poor a sport it is. I can't believe the BBC still show it, it must get the shittest viewing figures known to man these days. They'd be better spending the money and time showing another few episodes of Mrs Browns Boys
  11. Come back when there are 100 days left and we’ll discuss it then.
  12. Ignoring the evidence of cultural acceptance, and indeed promoting and indoctrination of it won't make it go away. We've already had revelations and investigations into the church, and tv/media with improved safeguarding, and a generalised inquiry into grooming as a whole. We had Gonzo mocking the Catholic Church as being full of pedophiles in the pope section, perfectly justified, that folk agreed with- a generalised comment with humour. No problem. Yet, do similar with Islam, and some of the same folk are up in arms. You will never fully stop a small group of like minded monsters getting together and going under radar, though we must try, and certainly prosecute them when discovered. That is a different kettle of fish from a section of the population being essentially taught that it is the way to behave, and the blind eye turned by institutions being essentially complicit. Why people seem so determined to use the quantifying argument, dismiss the cultural concerns as racism, and suggest that a full public inquiry isn't required, is beyond me.
  13. Putting aside politics for a moment. He's just an objectively awful example of a human being.

yeah it's an interesting read https://www.nufcfansagainstsportswashing.org.uk/who-and-what-are-we-winning-for-exactly he still goes and has an ST but is vocal in his awareness and opposition to what the owners stand for it's something at least

I like Coggers he does do much good stuff but his final ball is just so poor. I don’t know whether it’s a lack of composure or just a lack of ability but if he could improve that he’d be so much better.

There is only so much a government can do in a financial sense with regards to investment in a nation's infrastructure, businesses etc. It hasn't endless cash. Of course they can create the best possible conditions, but private investment is always required and indeed sought-after. Much of Saudi wealth is from western nations buying petroleum products, so in turn getting some of that back is welcome. Not sure what your comment about an mp is getting at. I don't think it was him actually, but the point still stands; taking the bigger picture into consideration can make a bitter pill easier to swallow. There is a lot of "unpleasant" money sloshing around the world, from all sorts of people. It may have been "washed" multiple times. Without it, our (or any) civilised nation would rapidly descend the wealth scale. For example, we have a fashion industry with a terrible record on workers, pollution etc. Consumers are increasingly aware of such issues, but few will bother changing their habits greatly. Many industries are the same, but there isn't the same level of outcry for some reason.

  21. Well, in that there will be no context - it'll be 'the tide is turning' sort of stuff. Football politics yet again. There a bloke in our village whose whole front is reform banners etc Now I was told on here at the last election that that was weird.
  22. I was almost right. It was "Louis and the Nazis", but they didn't explicitly ask him to leave, they just made it so awkward/tense that he felt it was time to go. About 20 minutes in: https://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/p02q8d5v/louis-theroux-louis-and-the-nazis

It certainly needs to be put on the government, and then the premier League, before it's ever put on the fans There's nothing Newcastle fans etc can do but voice displeasure Or they can do nothing Both have the same consequence, nothing, because it's out of their control (unlike Germany) The government would need to stop doing business with or sanction countries with dodgy regimes before anyone can stop them taking over or owning clubs See Ambramovich at Chelsea However https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/united-kingdom-and-kingdom-of-saudi-arabia-strategic-partnership-council-economic-and-social-pillar-joint-statement--2/the-kingdom-of-saudi-arabia-and-united-kingdom-strategic-partnership-council-economic-and-social-pillar-joint-statement-html

I think you're confusing poor with utter dross. We can "not play well", and still win. See Wigan, as well as Rovers. We played well against Rotherham, and lost. Not even competing is different, and that is what has upset him.
  26. Imagine thinking this is normal behaviour though
  27. I’ve not watched it, so no thoughts. What are your thoughts on the Jews who have spoke out against the documentary? It’s been oddly quiet on here lately, maybe those who thought Palestinians can do no wrong are realising what dicks they’ve made of themselves.
  28. I think it's a waste of parliamentary time. So long as the leading party can ask banal questions with no point other than to make the pm/government look good, then I'd say take it out of parliament and do it in a tv studio. Of course it's an opportunity for the pm and opposition to show their skills, but it has descended into a show. Even tv coverage talks about who won the day. I find ministerial statements and legislative debate far more useful and informative. Not so much of a cock waving contest.

  30. I spoke some time ago about the football team my daughter plays for played against a Manchester women’s team which actively encourages transgender women to play football. In their words, so long as they “identify” as women, they can play in the women’s team. My daughter got clattered by a bloke with makeup on earlier in the season. Today, they meet the same team in the semi-final of their cup competition at Bolton Arena. The Manchester team has recruited another couple of former men. Might be fun.

  38. All correct! Well done, at least you are paying attention. Speaking of Labour, I saw their attack dogs Fatty Balls and Snidey Reid trying to savage Tice yesterday. Failed miserably but it indicates the panic they are starting to feel over the council elections. Should be an interesting 24 hours.

  40. Yes, because of scale. But you knew that. Not one person has ever denied that non muslims in the UK do this too albeit as a tiny fraction of those some of you are seeking to defend (or at least deflect on behalf of). These filthy cunts can be thrown into the same cesspit as their muslim counterparts until the end of time for me. How does that sand taste?
