  1. I barely have enough time and energy to support Bolton nevermind anyone else. It's a fucking trauma as it is

  2. So so frustrating. It’s coming though - we’ve just absolutely hammered Blackpool at their place. You can pick fault all you want, but they are far far happier with a point than we are.

  3. Felt like a defeat in the end. 89 mins on the clock we get a free kick in our half and decide to take it quick and pass along the back line with two 6ft fuckers upfront. So much poor decision making and lack of urgency all day. They were there for the taking but yet again we just don't have that killer instinct. If there was ever a day the curse should end was today. There's more questions than answers at the minute.

  4. We were miles the best team. Should of won. We aren't far off. A few tweaks and we will be alright.

  5. So hope we win for this alone.

  6. Also Johnston is poor, he's been at us for years now and makes so many errors on the ball and he's never improved. Id be sticking Taylor in at left centre back for a go

  7. Another decent performance but frustrating result. I'd like to see us start Burstow and Dalby next game and have the wingers put some crosses in for them. We're not far off being very good imo.

  8. We've done enough to win every game so far, luck's just not swinging our way. Not sure what the solution is, but throwing the towel in after 6 games definitely isn't it. Each to their own though.

  9. All the territory yet the opposition look more of a threat on the rare occasion they get at us. Became boring 2 years ago that. foundations built on quick sand. We signed a CB with the plan to play him LB. But LB isn’t the issue, CB is. So fucking play him there

  10. Bury Rd and Tonge Moor Rd seem to have joined the party now. I have to say that the roundabout crosses that I've seen are shite. If you are going to do it then do it properly. Have some pride in your vandalism.

  11. Without deflecting from any (deserved or not) criticism of SS and/or the players we simply have to get out of this league and away from the poor officials.

  12. We were far from poor today. Just lacking that killer instinct. Does feel like a defeat though, and that's becoming an all too-familiar feeling. Suspect all of our neighbours' cats did a runner when Simons scored our disallowed second. I screamed my fucking head off.

  13. We all want a striker (rightly) but that defence is very average.

  14. While it's far from perfect yet their goal was just unlucky on our part and that's how it goes at times. We certainly need to be more clinical in the final third but teams really struggle to deal with our pace up top when we are at it. While it's frustrating not to win I'd far rather watch that today than Evattball. For perspective Evatt had us hovering above the relegation zone in December in his first season and then it clicked. We have better players than last season though some are not up to full fitness yet and we are likely to have at least one more in by Monday......Now is the time for patience and holding our nerve. At least give SS a fair cracking of the whip.

  15. Burstow said in is interview when he came to the club he told the wingers get the ball in between the sticks snd if I’m not there it’s my problem there not crossing the ball there cutting in and shooting wide we have Dalby who scored 12 with is head last season

  16. They have two feet. If they can't swap over to the other side, and put crosses in with their main foot then they're simply not that good. They shouldn't even be called wingers as they are narrow much of the time. A load of tosh to say they can't do it- they just need telling to do so. Sure, they can still vary it and come inside at times. Modern game idea is tosh, any fucker can kick it across the pitch with their main foot. Humans haven't evolved and lost that ability.

  17. Not good enough we've got 2 big lads up top so what do we do? fuck about with it at the back and slow the pace down Get it in the fucking box

  18. We’re Absolute gash at the back

  19. Amid all the clamour for another striker, if Burstow hadn't been dragged back at Stockport he'd have been 4 from 6. Put the ball in the right areas more often and he'll score goals, as will Dalby

  20. Had all fucking summer to get a goalscorer. It's obvious to anyone with a brain that's what we desperately need. Doesn't matter if we have 99% possession as there's nobody in this team that is lethal enough in that five yard box.

  21. ACD really needs to be less selfish and actually practice passing.

  22. Defence is just cack; Johnston should be nowhere near the team

  23. Simons had a heavy knock just before half time against Lincoln, to follow the one against Plymouth. I wouldn’t be surprised if this was just to give him a break, but on the bench, if required.

  24. correct, and the fact that we got both Erhahon and Simons combined for less than we received for Thomason was the best bit of business all Summer in the EFL

  25. McAtee must be on his way out, if anyone will take him. Not making match day squad and now 2 more coming in. Not sure there is anyone of our permanent squad that I would be upset if they left.

  26. I can see us going on a winning run and demolishing a couple of teams, just hope it's sooner rather than later we should be on 12-15 points, it'll be reet come May when the promotion party starts

  27. Only bad game I saw today was Cissoko. Wouldn't knock anyone else, especially not Cogley.

  28. Think the bigger defensive issue is we haven't replaced Santos. I thought we had with Taylor, but he's been another crock, and he's pencilled in as Left-Back anyway.

  29. Basically the same modern day pigeon holing argument about he's a 6 but not an 8 etc. They're wingers but evodently only capable of being inverted ones. Completely undermines the idea of having a central striker on whose responsibility the goal getting lies.

  31. An the first goal Burstow scored for us. ACD had a nose bleed, got to the line and cut it back. Bingo. Not modern nor old fashioned, just basic.

  32. I'm just bored at the moment now to be honest, and after 4 1-1 draws in a row, not matter how well we played, it's just already exhausting. I like Schuey and I'm still optimistic that it can work, it's a whole new team and system and will take time. Unfortunately for him and the board, from a supporters perspective our patience is being more than demanded at this point. When you consider the shite of the last 2 seasons, the fact it's been 5 seasons in League 1 now and that we are 14th in table after 6 games. We have to start getting wins soon.

  33. It’d be another thing that makes me question whether I have any clue about this game. If he gets a move up a league, based on what we’ve seen of him, then I don’t know what the fuck I’m watching. He’s not a footballer.

  34. Played 6, lost 1 😅 (just for balance)

  35. He swapped them over and they were worse on the other side. That actually stalled us as we lost momentum. That's the type of player they are. They are modern wingers. Inverted wingers. It's not fucking 1995 anymore. There's no Ryan Giggs in the modern game. They might need to work on the crossing but they both come inside like 90 percent of wingers nowadays.

  36. No we weren’t we should have won that because we were better, can’t keep blaming bad luck and refs.

  37. I agree with that, other than defenders doing the right thing. Johnston should have pulled him back as he broke into our half and just taken the yellow. It’s naive and soft - again.

  40. I'm pleased to see Sheehan and Morley getting recognition for playing well recently when called upon - and its the right call to drop Randall - but I'm amazed Simons isn't starting. First name on teamsheet for me, a class above and the sort of player you want in a tough away game. Interesting call from SS.

  41. Reckon it's Morley and EE then Sheehan as 10. He must have been reading here

  42. Sheehan as the furthest forward of that three hopefully

  43. Sheehan impressed enough against Lincoln to force his inclusion. Hope he plays the same role.

  46. Pretty much what most folk say about me being a lifelong supporter of Bolton (who?) Wanderers but they are also ignorant fuckers who automatically assume all English people support one of three EPL teams. But like most well-travelled people, I have a favourite team in nearly all the countries I’ve lived in, and for a variety of reasons. I even support Qatar in the Asian Cup if only because I played in the Khalifa Stadium in 1979 when working in Doha for a couple of years (shit artificial pitch and no aircon back then). If you think there’s something wrong in following other clubs in leagues that don’t affect us, you need to get a life. And if we’re ever playing Mainz 05, Benfica, Mechelen or Stirling Albion in the CL final, the question of me not supporting the team that my dad first took me to watch at Burnden in the year that we last won the FA Cup will never cross my mind.

  47. There was a guy at the club who was very helpful. Told him the name I was looking for and he looked through the bricks with me. As it happened, I found it myself. Don’t know his name but he was everything I expect from this great club. Went to Lucianos to celebrate. 👍

  49. Malaga is a great city, been at Easter when they do the parades, I'm not religious but some of the shrines they carry are unbelievable. I've watched Malaga CF a few times with the Guiri Army, went last Dec and going this Dec. There's a bar in Benel that does coach and a ticket for 35/40e, tickets on there own are that, they have loads of ST's. They also do 10e and drink as much Victoria beer has you want before and after the match in Bar Madrid. Mon who runs it was the bass player in Chumbawamba. I'm back in Valencia in couple of weeks, love the place and I have friends there who show me around, I've done a Valencia match and was at the back the steep stand. The Valencia Fallas festival in March is a good time to visit.
