Hiya - just a quick note to the other late back to the seaters after half time that Wimbledon had a man sent off on 59 minutes. I managed to sit through the entirety of the second half with absolutely no idea! Had a couple of beers in the hotel before the game with a couple who had southern accents but Wanderers kits on. Turns out they were family of Xavier Simmons - and they were explaining that he feels really at home here and tells that that he feels really happy here after a tough couple of years. Just bought a house up here too apparently! 👍11 likes

It’s been clear since about minute 5 of the Stockport game that SS has put together an excellent League One team. 7 games in and I believe been the better team in all 7. Only one defeat. I’ve had us down as top 6 with a chance to push for top 2 since day one. I’ll stick my next out now and say this team will get promoted. To anyone watching rationally and putting emotion to one side, the draws were never going to continue. As this team develops and gels, we’ll go on some long unbeaten and winning runs. Any team at this level with Erhahon, Dalby, Forss, Cissoko et al on the bench, and no Dempsey, Toal or Sheehan, but still wins comfortably, is a top level league one outfit. Regardless of stupid sending offs. Some were bemoaning our lack of a 20 goal striker on deadline day! Surely you can now see we already have him. Risk is he gets called back in January. Last note. Conway. There’ll be bids for him in January! Top level player.9 likes

Will give some full match thoughts tomorrow but took the Man City "supporting" nephew and he's definitely wavering towards us. That's the main thing8 likes

Randal's been getting better for a few weeks now albeit from a low base. Long may it continue. He's never going to out muscle people, but can thread a pass at close quarters and got into good positions in the box today a few times. Not a classic goal but they all count. Looking a bit more like the player we thought we had signed.6 likes

It's all your incessant negative, over analytical, dour, boringly obtuse utter fucking drivel deserves. You'll never be happy. You sad little man.6 likes

You will never be satisfied, and it's not churlishness. It's delusion. You revel in losses, and wins are never good enough.6 likes

He's stupidly good. Just effortlessly a class above whoever he comes up against, and no disrespect to Cogley but he's the opposite of him in possession (Cogley was fine today BTW). Composed, never in a hurry because he knows he has the quality to find a pass or beat his man, and leaves his decison about where to pass the ball until the last second when he's weighed up what's in front of him, rather than just hitting a cross to no-one in particular. He won't be playing as low as L1 for most of his career.5 likes

I am clearly in the minority but I think Randall is having a good game been involved plenty.5 likes

Great win. Clean sheet a bonus. We had about 3 more gears if we wanted but spent a lot of the 2nd half just playing at training pace - more goals would have been nice but a combination of us taking it easy, them actually defending pretty resolutely to be fair to them and a bit of bad luck meant a comfortable 3-0 was perfectly good enough. Not much to really be taken from the game but I’m still of the opinion that Forino has to be 1 of the 2 centre backs - even just Wimbledon’s big sub that came on caused GJ all sorts of problems. Thought Randall started by getting in really good positions but then failing with some simple passes which was frustrating. He really came into it though and you can see that he’s clever - that moment in the first half where he megged their centre mid and played a perfectly weighted through ball to Gale with the outside of his boot showed what he’s got. Hopefully the goal gives him a shot of confidence! Morley had a great game. He’s a different player with better players around him. He’s got his chest out, sprinting around, bossing things. Him next to Simons works very nicely! JDC is very much the weak link. He had as bad an opening 30 minutes as you can have without doing anything obviously noticeable (I.e own goal, giving away a penalty). He got better in the 2nd half but it was all too easy by then. As soon as Christie is fit, I can’t see it taking long before he takes the RB slot. Random one for the day - Marlon Fossey was in attendance.4 likes

Legal immigration and Illegal immigration are completely different. You simply cannot compare the two. Legal immigration is fine. It’s vetted, it’s monitored and I would imagine a benefit to the UK. every single illegal immigrant costs us money. Every single one. That is just the truth. Stop illegal immigration. I’d even vote reform if they said that’s what they’d do but then they’d fuck off away from parliament the day after.4 likes

I'll say this till I'm blue in the face. We are all guilty of it. We are that exposed to higher level football We forget exactly where we are. This is Mark Segraves and Phil Burke standard. We micro analyse our games to within an inch of our lives and we think it's only struggling to play well. In reality it's just the standard we are at. There are no good teams.4 likes

One thing I have been saying for a while now is that this current generation of UK politicians is shocking. And I have to say - it is on the whole my own generation, folk either side of 50. We are ill served by woeful political leaders of all stripes. They have no gravitas, little integrity and nothing new to offer. They are soundbite people who have dug this economic hole we are now in because they have not had the wit to do anything about it. The result is that it comes as absolutely no surprise when a woman who claims to profoundly believe in socialism fiddles her own taxes. Layer on top of that the people are sick and tired of both of the main parties and the absolute disconnect with the elitist one-eyed wokery that riddles our public institutions/local government/civil service and you can see why people are in despair. Our forebears did things better. They were more cerebral and on the whole more trustworthy, responsible and upright.4 likes

The dummy turn that he did near the half way line in the second half had hundreds of us going the wrong way. Breathtaking. Nightmare to play against.3 likes

Agree Morley had a quality game both halves, and Gale a stand out 1st half, ACD the same 2nd half. But Conway again MOM for me, just oozes quality and doesn't do it in patches like the wingers, its consistent every half I've seen him play this season.3 likes

I'm not a scout. But if I were and sent to watch Conway, I see loads of potential to develop and he will play at champs level within 12 months.3 likes

Hoping we offer a new, lengthy contract to Conway very soon. Been quality. Also like his temperament, lost count how many times he was fouled today, just gets on with it.3 likes

We played no better or worse today than any other game this season. Could have taken 3 points from each of them!3 likes

Just back and quite happy with that Thought we started off slowly but gradually got into the game The 1st sending off was a fucking leg breaker luckily Conway I think saw it coming and jumped to get out the way 2nd goal was a cracking move A deserved 3 points M.O.M hard to say as don't think anyone stood out and nobody was shit but if pressed probably give it Morley3 likes

Always are, the whole "anti woke" and "free speech" lot are usually the biggest snowflakes of the lot. They also hate virtue signalling, and love to call it out (even when it's not there) yet are currently climbing up lampposts and hanging spray painted bed sheets, in the biggest show of virtue signalling ever. Meh ... Good night on here lads? Politics is the division. They're all cunts Sooner you realise that ... the better. The new thing on here seems to be ... Just following what's said on Twitter ... What does that even mean? Isn't that what those saying it are doing? As for @miamiwhite ... What he does on twitter is something Special. It gives families, relatives, friends and colleagues comfort that those lost are remembered for their sacrifice. Shite that it's used as a point scoring insult by one on here ... but that's what this site has become. Meh3 likes

Don't think people expect that at all. The comments on here about using one player over another are opinions on putting out a team capable of beating another league one team. Seems reasonable.2 likes

Some of the comments about our team in all these threads make me chuckle, I swear some people think that we should be the second coming of the 08/09 Barcelona team. We're league one, our team is what it is, we're going to have players that have bad touches, misplaced passes and more than an off game, We're league one with league one level players, some might argue a level below that, we just need to get behind the team, support who we have and hope they come good on that game.2 likes

We just need our wingers not to cut inside to shoot everytime, it's great for XG and shooting numbers but rubbish for goal scoring, as you're just throwing away what would become real goal scoring opportunities for what amounts to fake ones. The amount of times I've seen our midfielders and no10's running into space in the middle or the edge of the box or our Fullback's overlapping, while being completly ignored so our wingers can shoot a 1/1000 goal with 3 players marking them is ridiculous. This needs to stop or we'll never win constantly as we just won't score enough constantly. It's not a case of this clicking or the team converting more this is tactics and i'm worried hearing SS talking as if this is just bad luck.2 likes
