Seriously, donāt bother. Iāve taken a step back from this thread (and others to be honest). I donāt post that much and feel better for it. Certain people gradually shutting down this part of the message board. Itās sad to see if Iām honest. You canāt have a sensible / rational debate or discussion when youāre trying to debate with entrenched ignorance / stubbornness / tribalism. When all else fails, theyāll find a typo.4 likes

There is a bizarre use of terminology in these discussions. As Bolty intimated; are these Asians fulfilling the definition of "far right"? If not, then what is far right? In opposition, what is far left? A load of cock really. They're dangerous cunts, who clearly pose a threat to the country.4 likes

Agreed, not sure why we would set up to nullify an opposition at home in this league, with our attacking abilities. It was within 10 seconds of not working v Cardiff. Fine if we're a goal up against a top team, and yes going away to a big club to quieten the crowd etc. But when Bradford come here (they've only lost 1 away and scored twice as many as Cardiff) I wouldn't want us to be setting up to contain them, I would have thought they can worry about us and attack them as we have other teams. If it ends with a 1-0 win again I don't care how we set up, I just think we are at our best when we're taking the game to the opposition at home, if nothing else it gets the crowd up for it and that in itself helps the team, as SS has said.2 likes

It is the first time i remember ever playing this way....Would like to see the last time we had less possession than the opposition. The downside to this is you will have too many stalemates. It is not new i think Parkinson plays this way.....We do not want to go back playing like that, but i can see us going away and going a goal up and SS changing and playing this way. I would not want to see it at home again, nothing in this league to be worried about2 likes

Crikey Do you think these Muslim MPs & majors want an Islamic take over of Britain ? The ex Scottish Muslim minister was more progressive in his views than the Christian lass he ran against. Context is important. A Muslim leader doesnāt mean weāre being taken over ffs. Itās a growing population & religion, that doesnāt mean theyāre all planning some mass takeover. And radical views amongst some Muslims isnāt evidence of such. I worry about where this countryās heading when ordinary people believe weāre being invaded.2 likes

We now have a Muslim home secretary, Muslim London Mayor. Muslim MPs voted in office in predominantly Muslim areas. Planning for Mosque after Super Mosque passed with ease. Their haram proof lending scheme gives them an advantage in the property sector. The population of Islam across the UK and Europe is growing disproportionately against other demographics. That's not even bringing in the boat crisis to the equation with vast amounts of Muslims turning up daily. That's taking over.2 likes

Which is exactly what the Muslim lads will have been saying to themselves. And you'll need to define indigenous if you're going down that route. Which is a dangerous one when you're an Englishman living in Australia. You can't expect to try and organise a march through someone's neighborhood under the banner of a 'crusade/mass deportation tour' (which is what I believe it was marketed as) and not expect a reaction from the people living there, surely? Even Tommy Robinson gave it a wide berth. As did most other 'patriots' given the looks of the turnout. About a hundred of them apparently. It's all deliberately antagonistic and got a predictable response. And I imagine there were elements of that response that overstepped the mark - like there is when any big group of people get together to protest about something. Barring Royal's post - it all looked like it passed off with a bit of ridiculous posturing from both sides in eventually different places and didn't even get to handbags stage. Although doubtless it will if people continue to provoke each other. There's a discussion to be had around a lot of issues. Immigration, integration, population growth, extremism etc. But in my opinion - this was a daft/counterproductive move.2 likes

Oh for Godās sake. Why the hell are some folks so fixed on whataboutery. What is wrong with people that disgusting actions on BOTH sides canāt be simply condemned. Just for one second can a few folks have empathy for that little lad and girl in that program. The girl in particular had to wait an agonising 2 weeks which she barely survived to get permission from Israel for her, her mum and brother to travel to Jordan to have a triple amputation to save her life due to a dry gangrene infection. What had she done wrong?2 likes

The difference is that Cardiff - joint top scorers in the league and one of the best defences - compelled SS to do something different which was for the whole team to defend instead of piling forward. Everyone tracked back, everyone put tackles in and that is exactly why we werenāt under much pressure. Defending aināt just the back line blocking and heading - on Saturday most attacks were repelled before they got anywhere near our goal. Whether SS sets up like that every game remains to be seen but I doubt he will - itās just good to know we can do it.2 likes

Spent the day in Wigan, went for a small run. Highlights were two blokes keeping each other up pissed as farts at 4pm, one lady shouting at a broken down house, a fella clutching a can of cider whilst i was a crossing.. "You not got a coat" "Nah, just going for a run" "Why?" Made me laugh. But got off the train at 12.30, about 4 blokes outside the cornershop all with cans of stella, all stinking of weed, must have be much younger than me. I dunno, @gonzo is right, Im anured to this sort of stuff probably, if this is daily life - or living with it - its very different from when I left home. Doesnt mean the North isnt still the best of this country but every time all I see is these towns being let down again and again by every government - and then the grifters of reform move in, and to be honest its easier to feel these lies when it's not effecting your life. But tomorrow, Ill be at Wigan's only awarding winning theatre company who have sold out their full run and are now transferring to London - on the basis of creating stuff from here. On thursday im making my small part in tranferring a small show from the North East into the west end - to prove our stories needs to be heard and its not just public school kids that have a voice. But yes, it proper made me think about the differences in our island and how much the North has been fundementally let down over generations.1 like

How Bradford and Lincoln are near the top of this league tells you all you need to know about the quality this year. Theyāre awful. This year is a better chance than the Pompey/Derby year.1 like

Will there be extra time and penalties? From the first round onwards in the competition, matches will be decided in extra time if the game is drawn after 90 minutes. If the match remains level after 120 minutes, the cup tie will then be decided by a penalty shoot-out.1 like

It wasnt that interview (I didnt know he'd gone on multiple platforms to moan, actually) it was on Talksport with White and Jordan, from the Cliches episode of 1 October. He sounds a fair bit more frazzled on the TS one, although I suppose you would when having to spend your morning with them two.1 like

Always liked Richardson with his Bolton link and always very calm, honest and respectful when he managed Wigan. If we were appointing here and now, Iād be happier with Richardson than OāNeil and not just because heād pay a little bit more attention to data and be open to bringing in a range of specialist coaches. IMO, OāNeil sounds like the outdated 73 year old he is.1 like

Bang on what Farage would want that, a minority Government, so none of his unworkable/uncosted policies ever get passed, but at least we can say he's tried, but been held back by the establishment. š Not that I think he'll still be around for the GE (not as Leader of Reform anyway)1 like

Nobody said invaded. It's simple numbers. The growth of Islam is in this country is exceeding other demographics. There's more mosques than ever before and towns are changing year on year. Muslim areas are getting steadily bigger. It's just a numbers game. You think by me saying this I'm saying we are being invaded and all that bollocks. We are already in the realms of sectarian politics, that was my point re MPs. Even you, yourself has said that's dangerous territory.1 like

While I respect that some of this will be subjective opinion, I would argue that this is wrong. Yes there was some turgid stuff, more so in the last 6 months. But I think thatās forgetting a large part of what went on prior to that. I think the current trend is to bang the drum that the majority of our possession based football was rubbish. This would be my longest post ever (and thatās some going for me, before someone else says it š) if I was to reminisce over some of the great experiences I had watching Evattās Bolton from that first live game after Covid and first away trip to Wimbledon to some great away days and home wins over the following 3 seasons, often watching us play entertaining and winning Football. I think this gets forgotten or downplayed because of how it ended. Yes it takes some loyalty, money, backbone and stupidity to follow your team home and away - but thereās no way I would have sustained that, had the football been āturgid more often than notā1 like
