  1. Yes, so far I have made 8 and I give them to mates, I have a list of orders for local groups like Friends of Atherton Park etc, I get most of my wood free ie pallets so I don';t charge anything, I enjoy doing them, I have made 30 6 x 3 fence panels, 3 6 x 6 gates and 5 planters. Retirement is great

  2. Didn't know where else to post but yesterday I had the pleasure of being there while a bloke/customer casually opened a letter as he was talking to me at his front door. He was listening to me tell him about Brighton apparently wanting Duberry to stay at Bolton as he glanced down at the letter. It told him he was now cancer free after a massive long battle. Fella got all teary and I was the first person he could find to hug then shouted his Mrs. What a mad few seconds a glimmer in to someone's life. The relief on his face was unreal. I think we will all feel the same when Dubbery is still here on the 1st of Feb

  4. I'm glad to see you still have the original prototype of the Fist master F1000, a proper workhorse. None of the electronics or new fangled cum collection trays and pube tuggers that the modern versions have. I hope you still have all the attachments, if so, it'll be worth a fortune.

  5. Whilst I'm sickened at the grooming gangs activities were covered up/ ignored I feel just the same, probably more outraged at the systemic cover up of paedophilia engaged in by the upper echelons in our society.....Royalty, politicians, various religious figures, the police, the BBC...... There is hope that the monsters of all races will be hunted down and face their punishment but those at the top never will......The occasional one might get thrown to the lions but even then their punishments are insultingly pathetic. This country is rotten to the core.

  8. Yeah I don't personally understand how segregation could amount to 1700 tickets. There will be a couple hundred at the absolute max in both corners of the south stand. Other than that there should be 28k on the cards if we get to it. Either way, absolutely mega. To the likes of Derby, Birmingham etc, it might not seem much. But for a town club in the location we are in, the highest concentration of football clubs and the 3 of the worlds current biggest clubs on our doorstep, it really is impressive. Hope the team show up. Excited for this one.

  14. Hang the cunt. Suspect that close to 100% on here would agree - at least with the sentiment if they are a little squeamish about capital punishment. Is this going to be your raison d'etre on here? Just highlighting sexual horrors committed by folk with white skin in an attempt to defend or justify the activities of hundreds of Pakistani grooming gangs?

  17. I guess the point Spider is making (or one of them) is that you do genuinely seem absolutely delighted at each bit of bad news that comes out. It's almost like the worse it gets, the more pleased you are.

  18. Eze is top quality. Bowen is a hard worker, but he’s just nowhere near as talented, quick or intelligent as the rest of the attacking group

  19. That finish from Eze v Serbia the other was top drawer. And a fantastic goal against Latvia a few months ago. Just seems to have more end product than most for England, and has a habit of coming up with champagne moments, like the goals at Wembley for Palace.

  20. Also a nice touch to see the blood stains of the victims still on the wall as a reminder.

  21. Giving the whole away end to Bradford is a mistake imo. We've not done this since the days of Wigan and Carlisle under Evatt (and looks at the outcome). Having some Bolton in the south stand makes a big difference to the atmosphere and we've been doing much better in the big games with this set up. Big test already against a current top of the league team, but now we've turned it into one with the small team having their big day out of the season as per Carlisle.

  22. I don’t. But I’m not bitter because I “lost” at the last election and am now desperate for Labour to fail. They have 14 years of cowshit mismanagement to deal with and deserve time to do it. They’ve been dealt a shit hand and you know full well they have. But if all you want to do is criticise then that’s up to you. My guess is that when reform get in you’ll be prepared to cut them some slack 🥰

  23. Because people like you criticise them at every turn. If they do what you mention here, you’d continue to do so. They cannot win with you. I assure you that whatever the budget throws up, you will be straight on here calling it dogshit. As sure as night follows day.

  25. £14B last year, in "foreign aid" apparently. I'm not saying we should stop it, but maybe take a view on how much and to who, and what it's actually/really used for. Like, I guess, pretty much everybody on here, I don't know what we actually get back for it, so I don't know what impact cutting it would have to us

  26. Agree with all that. Lincoln are doing great but they won't be trying for top 2, I can't see beyond Stockport, Cardiff and Luton as our challengers. Obviously if we under achieve, then the Bradfords, Lincolns and whoever else, become our rivals for the top 6. But for now our target is top 2 and for me those 3 are the teams I'd be looking at to drop points. And yes, whilst every game is a test and our away record remains poor, promotion is there for the taking in that we have nothing to fear, we've seen that Cardiff are not at the standard of some previous L1 winners in recent years. Its just whether we can start to pick up those away wins. Talk of us being in good form is based on home games and Huddersfield away. We all know more evidence is needed, but that's hard to achieve when you go over 6 weeks without an away game. By NY Eve we'll have played 3 away games in 2 and a half months (we're playing 3 homes in 10 days next month!). For now all we can do is beat Bradford and put ourselves in an even better position.

  31. Let’s not get too carried away with Birmingham. They’ve historically been at 16-18k gates and only last year when the yanks turned up and they won a league did that get up to 25-26k. There aren’t many that have been L1 in the last 5-10 years that have pulled in better crowds than us. Derby is fair, Leeds when they were down here but that’s obvious and maybe the Sheffield clubs (when they were doing well). Even Ipswich in the year they went up were similar gates to us, low 20s for some, increasing to high 20s for the ‘big’ games. Our support, especially considering the last 10-12 years that we’re off the back of and a 5th season in the third tier which is below our historical normal level, is top draw. I can’t wait to see what it’s like in the Championship.

  34. I posted about this in the politics thread in response to a 'politician' suggested some children diagnosed with ADHD were just "nuisances" and that the root cause of the illness was "bad parenting" Iva also been being treated for anxiety for the past 20 years. I'm not going to lie, it was really hard for me to type this, put it out in the public domain and it's been hard to tell certain members of my family due to how people think it's a made up disease, when I know how much I've suffered with it. I got diagnosed with it about 6 weeks ago, I'm 40. It's a ridiculously complex illness with a lot of symptoms. I have the issues with concentration and it's not about effort I can force myself to read the same page of something 40 times and not have actually read it because my brain is having a chat with itself about something else, just one example. Another one is I can get hyper focused on one thing to worry about and it can go on for weeks. Just a couple of examples. The meds have been great but not without their issues and I can to a lot of stuff I couldn't on the past. I was given the QB test and scored in the 98th percentile of people suffering with ADHD meaning my performance in that specific area (inattention, impulsivity, or activity) was higher than 98% of people in the age and gender-matched control group. Which is quite a relief because I have actually been fired from jobs from not concentrating and making stupid mistakes or getting overwhelmed and my brain shutting down, regardless of how hard I had been trying. I've been titrating on Elvanse and its been hard. Oddly, I actually was able to sleep on it during its peak effects, which is funny as its basically speed! But its helping my concentration which has been a godsend. Oh and I don't claim PIP nor do I have any intention of doing even though with comorbid anxiety I could. I work full time and have a degree.

  36. Championship we would be averaging 24,000 at the least. The fanbase has grown exponentially. 5 years in League 1 now and the support is still there, but we're just so desperate to get out of this godforsaken league.

  39. We are still a team/squad in transformation...Everything is not rosy despite our last three wins but we are going in the right direction. Stevenage are a big unit who will only get so far., one or two injuries and they will implode the same as Lincoln and Wimbledon. I see it only Stockport are currently above us who will be vying for the automatics come May. Next Saturday Schumacher will have the strongest squad any Bolton manager has had at least in the last ten years to select from. Vic and perhaps Toal every other player is fit and available......Some may say the Evatt team from two seasons back when we finished third was better, but that team had five six missing every week. You say there are no easy games. I say there are no hard games.....Promotion is there for the taking.

  48. I think everyone's getting a bit too giddy here. Yes, he's an outstanding L1 player, but the standard in L1 is light years below the Championship. He's going nowhere unless a Championship team offer Brighton a stupidly high transfer fee in January, but given he's got just half a L1 season under his belt that's just not going to happen. The most likely outcome will be he finishes this season with us and is then loaned out again to a Championship side next season ... and if we go up then that'll be us.

  49. Tinpot and ludicrous decision to give them the whole end. Looks embarrassing. Gives them a huge advantage and turns it in to their big day out. Pathetic from the club.
