I’m guessing I’ll be in the minority here, and likely because I don’t have anywhere near the care for England that I do for Bolton (and it does sound like when your mum says “I like to see local clubs doing well” - which is completely the wrong answer)… but I’d quite like to see all the home nations at the World Cup. Far more interesting than watching Macedonia or similar over there.8 likes

Yeah, it’s a right bastard relying on wonder goals Diddles 😂 Absolutely incredible game. Didn’t think McTominay’s goal would be matched…and then Tierney’s curl….and then McLean doing Schmeichel from the halfway line ffs 😂 Bloody brilliant Bathgate no more…4 likes

“Speaking in the House of Commons, Mahmood said: "If we fail to deal with this crisis, we will draw more people down a path that starts with anger and ends in hatred." Under the plans, refugee status will become temporary, guaranteed housing support for asylum seekers will end and new capped "safe and legal routes" into the UK will be created.” Hard to disagree with any of that let’s see what happens next4 likes

I wouldn't call that a fantastic performance at all, at one stage it came up Scotland 1 shot Denmark 17, they relied on wonders goals and a red card, even there own commentators were saying they are playing bad and asking for trouble for being so negative.3 likes

Community days are always shite anyway. Atmosphere is always flat and the gaff is full of part time cunts telling folk to sit down.3 likes

My youngest played a full 40 minutes in net on Saturday. He's U8s this season. Never shown any interest in playing in net but gave it a go last week and did quite well. They won 3-1 and he played extremely well. Actually diving for shots and getting his hands to the ball. He was in for training again last night and he has taken to it like a duck to water. I coach the team and told him as long he's enjoying himself that's all that matters. He said he did because he didn't have to run around as much and wasn't ending up knackered 😂 Thinking of seeing if I can grab him some 1-2-1 goalkepper sessions if he's still enjoying it after Christmas. Been really good to see virtually every game they've played this year has been competitive but my god some of the parents/coaches at this level take things far to seriously.3 likes

Here we go - some blame the board material to get the moaners back in the game 🤣 I’m genuinely gobsmacked that some folk are getting so upset about this, even more so that we would fast forward and make a forecast that this could cost us promotion! For Gods sake, embrace the occasion, be prepared to turn your voices up, out-sing the yorkies and have a bit of faith in SS and the boys that they will rise to such an occasion. I’m really looking forward to it COYFWM 👏3 likes

Incredible sequence of events over the last few games, and an incredible game tonight. Tierney's goal, at that stage of the game, was superb2 likes

That is a prime example of why VAR should be binned. No controversy goal and yet the Scotland fans celebrated the VAR confirmation more than the goal itself2 likes

Brilliant goal. McTominay very good at appearing in that area and scoring Gannon-Doak giving Dorgu a hard time.2 likes

I’m a nervous wreck supporting England come any major tournament. Turn into a kid again. But I’m just not interested in us cruising through the qualifiers. As great as it is to see us doing it. Enjoy watching the other local nations more. That Ireland game and finish against Hungary was unbelievable. Buzzing for the Scotland game tonight2 likes

I think the gov link above lays out the issues "perfectly" the system is fucked, and cannot cope or move forward without major reform it can't be left as it is they have a plan it sounds plausible to me get on with it2 likes

Oh I'm with you now. I'm back up in Bolton these days - so I live in a northern hovel and am therefore exempt as my house is only worth 6p 😁2 likes

Aye spot on Nothing against folk liking it and liking the royal family. But why have it as an anthem when half the country feels like you & me about it. Shame really. As we've a whole history filled with motivational moments to choose from.1 like

I'm one of those, I can't stand the words and tune so I don't sing it. Absolutely love the Scottish and French one's and if our's was Land Of Hope and Glory or Jerusalem I'd happily belt it out with pride. I find our's embarrassing, I can't wait for it to finish and feel sorry for the players having it thrust on them with cameras in their faces to check if they're singing it with emotion.1 like

Just need to get to half time then reset. Don’t come out sitting back second half Souttar in the warm up as well. Not been easy.1 like

Yeah they're not "big games" in the same way as others on that list were. Anyway if we were having to give away the south lower tickets as people say then fine we can sell them to the opposition. But I was at the Wednesday and Derby matches where they had the whole end and the atmosphere was all them (and similar when we gave Wigan the whole end but they couldn't sell it all, still atmosphere with them). The south lower wrap-around has given us an atmosphere boost so I do not want to be coming on here on Saturday evening after seeing Bradford fans lording it up1 like

The goal cheer sounded like the stock sound that BBC have been using since the 80s that has a weird shout at the start of it. It's very much an in-joke1 like

All about the lyrics & anthem mate. There’s nothing to ours & many people just don’t want to sing about God & the Royal family. I’d not be if I was them. Plenty PL stars in the Scotland squad but they still sing it with pride. Anyway What a fucking goal that was, hopefully they don’t sit back too much.1 like

The difference isn’t comps, it’s season tickets. The Wrexham game would have had around 3k season ticket holders missing (still holiday time and live on TV) but counted in the attendance figures. Barnsley game was match tickets bought expressly for that game, the week before. Will have been virtually no no-shows. Hence, more on, despite a smaller attendance.1 like
