I'm not having it that there is a general groundswell of racism against Bellingham (barring the odd fuckwit). Jesus - just remember the dog's abuse people like John Terry used to get in the press. I don't think Bellingham is getting it anywhere near that level of pelters. There's a frustration at times given the levels he can reach - but it would be the same whether he was white, black, mixed race or Chinese. Obviously if he was Jewish I'd be giving him more grief 😉7 likes

Just spoke to my Dad - this year is his first season ticket since 78. He sounded like a 8 year old not 80. Not sure he'll sleep tonight!5 likes

Football Ventures are very lucky to have us, but we are equally lucky to have them - particularly Sharon Brittan.4 likes

I wasn't too concerned when we lost at their place ( although I'd have preferred a win obviously).....we were the better team for most of the game and they scored with their only two attempts on target....... and we had players settling in and out injured. We may or may not run away with this league but I wouldn't swap our squad or manager for any of the others.4 likes

Sonny Sharples-Ahmed joined Torquay on loan. Good luck to him, hope the experience does him good.3 likes

Do people remember not like they would have any good reason to, back when we were last in the Championship under the ownership of he who shall not be named. He used to bang the drum every home game demanding 20k gates in which we were averaging just 15k so it could help with funding transfers. 26/27,000 will be there tomorrow for a game in the 3rd tier. Let that be a lesson to that idiot of what good ownership looks like at a football club.3 likes

They being Israeli and vocally anti Arab has more to do with it than them being Jewish. But helmets like yourself can't seem to grasp that.3 likes

same thing happened to Raheem Sterling quite a bit this was one that got brought up once then compare to similar stories being written about Phil Foden might be nothing to do with him being black, but the press defintely seemed to take issue with Sterling2 likes

For the sake of it. It just so happens they’re Jewish and were playing in a highly populated Muslim area. But still it doesn’t look good does it…..the police couldn’t guarantee their safety because they were from Israel. Not a good look is it.2 likes

I needed Erland Johnson to fill my book when I was about 11. Never got it. Told my mate in the boozer years later and he managed to source one and gave it me on the day I was best man at his wedding.2 likes

I agree there does seem to be a narrative round Bellingham from certain sections in the press for some bizarre reason. That Daily Mail bloke was totally wrong the other day and made a back page headline out of fuck all. Bellingham comes across a touch arrogant but fuck me he's still a kid and already won a CL, La Liga player of season and captained Dortmund. The lads a superstar, not many come without a bit of brash arrogance. The press narrative is nothing to with him being black mind. That's just silly.2 likes

Great to see the EFL getting greater coverage. I recall a chap from Panini many moons ago, insisting they make exactly the same number of each sticker and yet anyones experience of collecting these will know that was bollocks.2 likes

On that note.......what the fuck is Ian Wright on about Re Jude Bellingham? People not ready for a black superstar? Bellingham is being critised not because of his colour but because of his persona on the field of play at times ( and because the English press are arseholes). He just needs to be allowed to mature a little more, which given his success and willingness to face the press when we have played shite, I have no doubt will come.......at least we know he cares! I'm a massive Ian Wright fan but he's gone all Aluko on this one imo, which is ironic as he has called her out previously.2 likes

If only there was a Committee in place at the time to do just that but someone chose to scrap it..2 likes

Does anyone really get excited about this? I'll be concerned about where we are in the table on 1st May 2026 before we take on the Hatters.2 likes

Huge game this. We are unbeaten all season at home, with 8 wins in a row. Bradford haven't won in 5 in the league. All points towards an away win. Hoping for a similar first half to Wigan. Big crowd, fast start and a half empty away end on 40 minutes. COYWM1 like

If the ref had seen Burstow be dragged back when about to knock one in from six yards we'd have won that game1 like

Hadn't heard it but understand why! Saw one which showed a bloke from a 45 degree angle from behind apparently pissing into a womans mouth and another where a woman was squeezing a tit and squirting milk into a teenage lads gob. Some of these Bulgarian, Slovenian, Moldovan, Armenian etc. movies are pretty fucking odd. The novelty wore off very quickly!1 like

Absolute bollocks from Mr Panini. We all remember having multiples of the same player that everyone else also had. I always dreamt of buying an entire box of packets and was convinced that that would complete the book but I was just a poor Breightmet kid and even my birthday money wouldn't have covered it. As an adult I suspect there were some that were never actually in circulation, couldn't you buy some directly from Panini to complete the collection?1 like

I wonder how long before they adopt the US tactic of calling the winners 'World Champions'? As I regularly point out to my two neighbours (great blokes by the way), a game played in only two thirds of one country compared to one played in 211 countries all stemming from Bolton Wanderers and 11 also rans.1 like

Well when you consider just how much we’ve pulled back over the last month there’s no reason the way we’re playing that we can’t go on a good run and pull away as others beat each other. It was always going to be that way this year and we arguably have the strongest squad in L1 so there’s no reason we can’t.1 like

Maybe although the Aussies opposite and next door to me only used the term last Sunday at our regular Sunday session. Two mad keen AFL types who have commented many times on their concern over the growth of 'soccer' over here. They were chatting about coverage of the 2026WC. One of their sons has become an Arsenal fan (couple of years ago he started). Mother has relatives in North London. Father not impressed Might even be a regional thing although our HQ in Sydney had a couple who used the term (Parramatta Eels and Penrith Panthers fans btw).1 like

I hope people are ok with that. Hopefully someone gets clarity about how Brighton feel about us. We have been given no idea at all1 like

Aussie RL and AFL fans refer to that TV station as Soccer Bloody Soccer as I am sure you know. For those who don't know, it is the 'ethnic' channel.1 like

I'd start Forss for the same reasons. He presses really well and Dempsey is still on the comeback from injury, save him for the last 30mins1 like

Are they suddenly going to find 35k fans from somewhere, or is it going to be half full most games?1 like
