I watched the blackbelt barrister this morning. He covered this case. As he said, there is no absolute freedom to write what you want. (We have libel/slander laws after all). He also said that he was found guilty unanimously. He has pushed his luck for too long, and can't have any complaints. Moreover, he has completely ruined any chances he may have had of continuing his footballing related career. He's a total cock, and always has been.6 likes

Jesus Christ that was hard work. Nobody will give two fucks come May when those 3 points are on the total.4 likes

More importantly than their respective individual ability, JDC's athleticism and fitness makes ACD tick more often. And he's a match winner. It's not a coincidence at ACD doesn't look as effective when Christie is playing4 likes

If we perform like we did Saturday, 10 men or not, we don’t win. It was far from perfect, (see my previous post), but while SS won’t be brimming with positivity, he’s not going to be as unhappy with the performance as he was Saturday! Take the result away, - We battled better - We had more desire - We competed better - We won more first/second balls - We were more composed. It was just a better performance, despite us being far from our best and a long way from convincing, he’ll see it not only as a great result, but an improved performance from Saturday (which wasnt hard to be honest) And if you can’t see that more fool you 😊😉3 likes

Very noble of ss to even it up 10 v 10 by bringing randall on. Never a footballer int memory of man3 likes

Felt like kicking a wall or two... that was poor. But honestly, could not give a shiny shite. Big 3 points, all that matters. Happy days!3 likes

Nervy, unconvincing, ponderous… but who gives a fuck!! 👏👏 Any over-analysis in my view would be misplaced due to the circumstances. The win was all that mattered. And that’s an away win 👏👏3 likes

No full back on the bench but Randell named; That’s a shocker but ok with starting eleven3 likes

Its amazing how many players at this level aren't very good at kicking a football 😀. I remember when that used to be the priority, unless you were a CB or a Kev Davies. Now that running and marking space has increased in importance, you can be a pro footballer without being very good at kicking a football. I'm always amazed how Randall got to this level, I wouldn't bet on him to reach the goal if he was taking a penalty.3 likes

JDC gets some grief, I do think Christie is a better player but JDC gets forward more and that helps ACD.3 likes

Disagree, the sending off ruined the game as a spectacle. Mansfield conceded possession, defended for their lives and rarely attacked which meant we had all the possession but came up against 2 walls of defence for the majority of the match. We could and should have won by a more comfortable margin but a win is a win and I don’t care how they come as long as they keep coming until we get out of this shit league!2 likes

It wasn't shite. It was just uneventful. We just about did enough. That's division 3 football.2 likes

I'm sure he won't be fulsome in his praise for the quality of the football, but he will be pleased with the result, the clean sheet and a response from Saturday. He will sleep easier tonight for sure. As we all should.2 likes

😂 So a performance that brings: - 3 points - a clean sheet - an away win Won’t make him any more happier than a performance that: - caused a defeat - Conceded 4 - was abject - had no fight or desire .. Yeh I don’t imagine he’ll be that much happier 😂2 likes

Its a brilliant win that and we would have taken that scoreline before a wall was kicked all day long. A second away win of the season - but we know there are niggly question marks in the backs of our minds because of the ten men and the average performance. Still, six unbeaten in the league and a home game on Saturday that they must win to get pressure on that top two. Still only sixth ... but worth noting a tidy little gap down to seventh and the rest and a game in hand over the chasing pack as well.2 likes

Patient build up trying to find gaps and channels in a clustered defence is not in any way shape or form Evatt-Ball.2 likes

The reluctance of Conway and Christie to get crosses in is painful. They're getting the time and space but turning back and going nowhere.2 likes

Barton was a bang average player with a taste for violence. He then became a shit lower league manager with a taste for violence. Then tried to become a social media personality, still with a taste for violence (ask his missus) but also with a penchant for acting the cunt in his new chosen medium. In the old days he’d a ran a boozer in some dreary shite town Hopefully he’ll now fuck off into obscurity2 likes

Not a fan of our width which is even more crucial now with them going down to 10, we need a moment of quality out wide. At the moment we got Forss who's more of a striker/central player on one side and then Tutu on the other side who's more of a wing back. Gale & ACD might prove to be vital.2 likes

Just not moving the ball forward quick enough through the lines, our passing has been shit so far. Look great in our own half breaks down after the half way line so far2 likes

Completely agree, tbf toal and Johnstone have both done well last few weeks but you just know they have a clanger in the locker. I didn’t see the Swindon game so can’t comment on his performance but from what I can gather toal had a shocker on Saturday. For me Forester did well when schuey came in so I can’t understand it either. I love his attitude, mans a warrior and that’s what we need in this league.2 likes

The squad we have is pretty decent for lge1 level. SS says he has confidence in everyone and no matter who he plays can get a result. We all have gone round in circles to why Saturday happened and who was to blame. SS is saying they wont change how they play so as it stands it will be the same system again tonight. I and more would like to see 3 in midfield but it is what it is and i hope SS does not get as stubborn as Evatt and sooner than later he looks how we set up away. If you asked 9/10 who you want to play on a cess pit of a pitch in driving rain in December on a Tuesday night Johnson, Forrester, Erhahon, Simons, Dempsey and Burstow would be high on the list. You want players who will roll their sleeves up and enjoy playing tonight in those conditions. All those players missed out on Saturday and we had too many fair weather players start against Swindon.2 likes

This goes for Citalopram as well . Been on it for years , once went cold turkey for a month . The crash is your worst nightmare playing in your brain on fast forward on non stop repeat . Hallucinations both visual and audio but the worst was the false memories . Halfway thru called the lads up to say what a mad night that was last week , only for them to ask if I was alright as I hadnt been out in 2 months amongst many others . Strangely I was on 80mgs OD . The Over dose is 3,5 grammes . powerful little drug but the effects diminish over time . Also discovering white noise , and its variants , probably saved my life .2 likes

It certainly makes it far easier to prosecute when it's their for all to see Online trolling is a crime and has been for a long time Folk like Barton think it doesn't apply to them, thinks it's all just a laugh Like assaulting folk, he just can't help himself and doesn't learn Gets what he deserves2 likes

It's a concern, but all this talk of us simply collapsing every time we play away simply isn't true. We've played well enough to win most of them, we just haven't had the rub of the green. We'd have been on 2 Away wins if it hadn't been for Simons' harsh sending off last week for example. These things happen in football. It will even itself out.2 likes

Aye I'd be concerned if we were getting routinely beaten or outplayed. There's a good 3-4 games were by far the best team and were unlucky not to come away with 3 points. Good job we are insatiable at home. It'll happen. The bookies still have us 2nd faves. I'd trust their odds over professional wingebags and wind up merchants like @L/H Whiteand his gang of slugs any day of the week.1 like

There’s a definite pattern, how some folks always try and defend or deflect any criticism from some of society’s less salubrious characters. JB, our Tommeh, Nasty Nige, Dopey Don. What a list of fine plain-speaking, anti-woke, populist patriots who can do no wrong eh 🙄? What a mast to nail your colours to. What a hill to die on.1 like

OK if that's the rules. I'm not sure how many Wembley and Europe visits Colchester and Newport get to compensate for them not being allowed to compete for this prestigious status, but I sense you don't care 😀 I can't say I do either TBH.1 like

First Mansfield memory i have is seeing this on the 92/93 season review tape that I watched over and over. I used to watch this and think wow every time we scored away it went absolutely mental in our end!1 like

I will be watching tomorrow on TV but I’ve had some eventful days at Mansfield including witness for my mate who got nicked on one visit…. Anyhow my mind wanders back to the late 70s with that fantastic team led by Ian Greaves….. I rocked up with couple of mates at Moor Lane bus station where luxury Hargreaves coaches were waiting to take fans to Mansfield…. On the other side of the bus station were the Ribble coaches basically single decker ramshackle buses but a a £1 cheaper than Hargreaves and with me still at school and earning only 50p For shopping for one of my elderly neighbours I decided that was 2 weeks work so Ribble coaches it was. Was a long journey don’t think the bus went faster than 40mph…. Anyhow we duly arrived at Field mill Bolton everywhere, we were herded into the open end behind the goal. It was a tight game only decided by a thunder strike from John Ritson. Spent the journey home dreaming of division 1 and stuffing Man U next season…. Dreams do come true thanks to Frankie Worthy. Happy days. Excerpt from the Bolton news. Ritson’s Rocket” proclaimed the Bolton Evening News the day after Wanderers had beaten Mansfield Town 1-0 at Field Mill to inch just a little bit closer to promotion in Division Two.1 like

Yes - basically Europe and it's leaders are the root of all evil and are hell bent on leading us all into WW3 (presumably for not allowing Russia to just waltz in and take Ukraine in its entirety. And it would seem that Donald Trump is slowly moving towards that way of thinking himself given his recent proclamations. He goes onto say that Europe will descend into individual member states who fight amongst each other and revert to expansionism and colonialism (which is an odd take for a country who have just invaded Ukraine). Moving into my words. The US have taken the coward's way out by the looks of things. Either that or they are just hopelessly inept or both. Trump wants peace at any cost for his Nobel Peace Prize - and doesn't give a shit if that means he has to sell out Ukraine or sign a deal which is basically a huge capitulation and means we end up having to fight a hot war with (a much stronger) Russia in 10 to 20 years. By which point he'll be dead and history will view him as an even bigger appeasement monkey than Neville Chamberlain. Anyone who has the gall to look at themselves in the mirror and call themselves a 'patriot' while supporting this utter fuckwit is either too thick to really see what's going on, is a closet authoritarian (I think there's at least a few of these on here) - or just hasn't really been following the news (apart from the headlines). The details coming out over the past couple of weeks pretty much rip up and 80 year old world order. And Britain is going to slide waaaaaaaay down the rankings in very short order without some huge turn of events. The best we can hope for is that Trump becomes a lame duck president in the not too distant future and we don't end up with someone like Pete Hesgeth in next (although that's unlikely seen as he's just been publicly called out for committing war crimes). Not that many people seem to care about shit like that anymore mind!1 like

3 in midfield is a must, sitting deep less so. At the moment we end up with the 9 and 10 as virtual passengers with no service. The wingers spend more time coming back than going forward. I would question 2 wingers and a ‘10’ away from home. Just leaves us short elsewhere.1 like

Aye - it’s not good. I’m hoping Dempsey, Erhahon and Simons can go some way in helping us address this. We do, we go up.1 like
