  1. Folk still moaning about Tony Blair taking us into an illegal war 23 years ago now want KS to pile in.

  2. So you want our PM to send British troops into a potentially illegal war, just because Donald Trump says so? Jesus wept.

  3. I know we were told not too long ago that their nuclear program had been totally obliterated, and they'd been set back decades. Unless that wasn't true of course...

  4. Haha was thinking exactly the same. Nobody gave a fuck after 9/11 and wanted us to go fist and boot on the fuckers. Only years later it became a stick to beat Tony Blair with. Only a few years after the same folk championed Margaret Thatcher for leading us in to war over an island full of puffins and sinking a ship. The way our economy is right now and the way things are over here the last thing we need on earth is to be bowling into another costly war that the US can sort off its own bat. Good on em like. Get stuck in, but let's us just hold the coats.

  5. He may be lots of things, but calling him a ‘coward & pandering to wets’ is just nonsense. But no surprise really coming from a fella who calls folk racist & Muslim shaggers if he doesn’t agree with them. Many leaders , past & present, would er on the side of caution. Especially given Trump’s madness. Nothing wrong with waiting & not joining in. Certainly not cowardly to protect British troops & their families.

  6. We cannot let these get in power. I get why they exist. I get people wanting change and thay have had enough of certain issues. I get they are product of the main parties misgivings and all round fuck ups and leading the nation in to the darkness over the past couple of decades. But christ these can't be the alternative. Labour need to sort their shit out pretty sharpish and so do the Tories. Get these fuckin boats sorted. Stop that, you stop reform and you stop incompetent bozos like this mon being anywhere near the running of councils and the country.

  7. Strange to stop the whole game because a few players chose not to eat that whole day. I'd rather keep politics and religion out of football.

  9. Could tell after Wigan when he'd not even made the bench. Seems a decent lad and hasn't the let boo boys get him down. His past few appearances have been bang on. Looks like he's really worked hard and got his head down and received some proper coaching. Good on the lad.

  10. More likely they go on a trip to Benidorm and don't invite Dimron because he spends all day waffling about construction sites and Soviet Union.

  11. Its possibly an over simplification, but the general feeling I've seen from commentators is that he was held back in his first term because there were adults in the room, ie people who had been there seen it and done it, in all walks of life including military. They're now gone. And as you say, he genuinely believes he's a legendary strategist and thinker. This is why I'm concerned, as I'm not sure where this ends.

  16. Most leaders will lean on people with superior knowledge, skill and experience and give them autonomy to make informed decisions and feed that back. Problem with Trump is that he likely believes that there’s no single person more informed, more intelligent and more experienced than him in absolutely any given topic.

  23. Could all be bollocks, but a military expert on five live earlier was saying Iran probably has 5 ballistic missiles for every Patriot missile stationed in the gulf. Lets hope the yanks have taken out enough of their munition silos to even this up a bit. oh, and Iran has missiles capable of reaching London. And the only air defence we have against them is @royal white with his pea shooter.

  25. When you are in a defined Pension scheme you get told that at retirement you will get a monthly income of £££s , plus a tax free lump sum. Or you can take a larger monthly income and no lump sum, your pension does not have a ‘value’ as such. But if you transfer out they pay out a lump sum to your new provider this is the CETV. That money is then invested and goes up and down based on the investments, so there is risk whereas previously the amount was guaranteed. You still have 25% tax free if invested in a proper pension scheme. Graphs below show FTSE over last 2 years and 10 years. Growth has been pretty strong especially last 24 months. You can see in 10 year chart when COVID hit things went south but have recovered well. Highlights when people talk about cost of living crisis affecting everyone it really is nt.

  26. Trump aside I just think this is a guaranteed mess. With the Bush/Blair war before I naively believed them about WOMD. You only have to look with despair at what followed post Saddam. The Arab spring was a disaster. That’s why I’m shaking my head with going after Iran like this. Yes the ayatollah was a despot, but deary me - this is so predictable what’s happening. I just hope the outcome is not worse.

  29. And throw away money?! We’d sell 20k at an average of £25, including concessions. Just make it an event, like the last Barnsley playoff match. Concessions are for unattractive fixtures, like Grimsby in mid-winter. Next, you’ll be moaning about a lack of investment from the board, after suggesting they throw money away.

  30. Yep But she knew what she was doing when she paid her off She was sparing him from being found guilty in court Because like everyone else, she knew he was, as demonstrated by when she stripped him of all his titles And she also gave nonce defenders and apologists the chance to say "but he was never found guilty of anything in court" when pretending he's not a nonce

  35. I moved out of a defined/ final salary scheme. It had to go through a Compliance process to justify me doing it. The reason being you are increasing your risk. I was not charged for this, the Adviser earns a fee from the Pension company the fund is transferred to. The adviser is a mate I have known for years. Unfortunately based over here so not much use to you ! It has been brilliant for me as am living off the fund and it is still growing ! My old scheme old had death benefits for wife/ husband and as we are not married my missus would get nothing. So the transfer was approved. My adviser is part of St James Place who got in some bother about their fees, but as mine waives all mine I was fine.

  36. My first thoughts were friendly fire. I doubt Iran has such an anti aircraft set up capable of reaching so far. Especially now. As you say, reports suggest that it is. If those images of an American radar being destroyed are accurate, then that won't help matters.

  39. No reason why independent financial advice should cost a lot of money. Mine never did- they just get a fee from providers for any products you take. They may say leave them alone too. I only shifted mine a good while back, into a SIP, as we were looking to invest it into some land etc to create a business. Never happened in the end, and I would have probably been better leaving them where they were. The rub I guess, but good advice will pay for itself.

  40. The question is not about money/investment. It is about limiting the away end in a one of game which may help drag us across the line. 20 quid on a one off game with anyone with a history/membership. It is all about getting that perfect price that we sell out all home tickets.
