Forss isn’t worth £30k a year; get rid now

Christ almighty. We giving up on players after two friendlies then?
  3. farage on Polanski "If I was to post anything as inciteful then I would expect to be arrested, and so should Polanski". farage on Lucy Connolly "What Lucy Connolly said in her X message, which was only visible for 3.5 hours may have been expressed inelegantly, but it was a sentiment that was being felt by a lot of the public at that moment, and it should not have been criminalized." two tier Nigel

He started seven games after he came back from injury, scored three goals and assisted four. Scored the crucial goal against Bradford in the playoff semi-final and forced the own goal in the final. If that's him being very ordinary imagine him on form.
  7. These days, if you say "Mass deportation now, set fire to all the fucking hotels full of the bastards for all I care" you get arrested and thrown in jail. These days.

Lots of possibilities here. “Euro Pacific Soccer Tournament for Egocentric Incompetent Narcissists” Cup.
  9. Polanski and Farage at at Polar extremes of the political spectrum. And both should be rightly ignored

    Blackburn mate? Worrying😂

Think the problem is the likes of Blackburn there squad was good enough ( just ) to keep them up last season so only needs smaller improvements were ours after the loans went back and players released was nailed on to go down . So we need to be more active compared to everyone else . It is going to take longer because we don’t have the budget to do it early so we have to be patient and hopefully we get the players in I can see it going to deadline day for may be the last coupe to get through the door hopefully they will be good enough

Thanks for posting the interview was all over Facebook last night that SS had given an interview where he was ‘fuming’ , clearly frustrated but knows that is the way things are. I would be surprised as things are developing if we do not get Kenny back and still think ACD on loan is a realistic opportunity, his time here last year was the almost perfect loan for him , us and Brighton.

Kinell, it's like drone warfare this 🤣

That's 5 first teamers to be replaced. The general consensus is we need about 4 players as things stand, we don't have long to sign another 9 of the required standard! And that would be 15 new signings to be bedded into the first team squad. McAtee, Simons, Toal, Christie and obviously Dong are going nowhere in August.

Nope , me too . Looks the next one most likely to step up .

Don’t agree it’s time he was given a chance .

I know it baffles me some people write players off way too early like Dong who is young doesn’t speak English ffs give him time to settle in .
  18. Cold November day ... 0-3. Remember it well.
  19. When I was in year 11 my mate, who is now aptly a head of IT a secondary school, hacked in to the schools intranet and downloaded all the teachers addresses on to floppy disk. I obviously ended up with a copy and word got back to the deputy head that I had it. He came to my lesson and dragged me out then made me get in the car with him to go to my house and get it. Was all rather serious although at the time I was just happy to be getting out of lesson. It was only when I ended up sat with the headmaster and some police liason officer did I realise how serious it was. Wasn't even me that did it

Then he can fuck off. Whatever his inflated salary at Boro he did 3 Pat's of sod all here despite his acclaimed pedigree.
  21. That must about 5 years on the run that has worked. Disappointed no one asked why you were objecting to bin dipping, maybe next year.

Duberry will be back on loan once Brighton sort out their end with him and cover. They want him to come back to us as first choice but it’s upto him. Kenny will be the money mover with another RW on loan along with Forss and a back up striker

If we’re frustrated at the lack of transfer activity you can only imagine how it affects Schuey who’s ultimately responsible for results. I’d be amazed if we weren’t in for a clutch of players but we can’t move until their parent club is sorted. That could all happen very quickly or drag on, who knows, but I do know that however frustrating I’d rather wait for the right players than snatch at the wrong ones. I suspect its availability rather than price that’s causing the delay and we’ve enough in the kitty to get who we really want.

  26. Reform voters/fans are generally too thick to realise the double standards on show by Farage. Like with Trump, they just seem to double down on their support. I think it's because they're, generally, fucking gormless fuckwits

£30k a week, and we get relegated.. That's pretty much over half a teams wages. We've been here before, but people seem to have short memories. Being blunt, we need to shop within our means, as Casino said, a loan would be great, buying isn't an option for a club our size.

If i was brighton, id gamble on 5million being nowhere near his ceiling Another loan, maybe not with us, surely makes more sense
  29. How many times have we heard "He's fucking shit" after watching a new player for 45 minutes, and they turn out to be superb once they get settled? You knee-jerk idiots will never learn.
  30. too much worrying about friendlies, I'm just glad there's been no new injuries
  31. Said same to my lad he said who the fuck is Mcanespie.
  32. I was listening to the former allied commander of NATO forces in Europe talk about this yesterday. He reckoned the US would need somewhere between 800,000 and a million troops on the ground to achieve a full scale ground invasion. I just can't see it.
  33. He shared it.
  34. There’s an extremely lengthy and boring answer as to why this isn’t a thing. The easiest answer is pretty much because of reserved seating at each ground. Yes I know plenty don’t sit in the right seat anyway, plus this could be combatted by emailing the seat details across each time, essentially as they do already to an extent with digital tickets, but it just introduces an unnecessary extra layer for away clubs to deal with. Also each season is a new ‘product’ so generates a different QR code for the season ticket. Could of course move to RFID/NFC technology but BWFC’s turnstiles aren’t set up for that at the moment, and an RFID chip only tends last a couple of years at best anyway unless you pay a fortune for something more robust of a similar standard to credit cards.
  35. I think things will start moving for all clubs sooner rather than later as players at the top return from the WC, the domino effect should then kick in I firmly expect us to be in for Kenny, whether we get him or not I don't know, but nothing happens till Celtic have got their shit together, and no doubt they are waiting on ins and outs too and I don't expect us to sign ACD, but it's only now that his next move is starting to be talked about with the link to Rangers now that Brighton are getting their players back together I'll reckon we'll have all we need in by the end of the window, and of course hope not having everything we need doesn't set us back too much in August be reet
  36. so 42 kitkats, with a few kitkat chunkys
  37. By that logic no-one below the top 8 would be able to afford players because they're all sustaining massive losses and will have less revenue than we do next year. A quick look at PNE's accounts and they're spending 6m on Devine despite having an 11m loss and only 18m on turnover. What am I missing?
  38. Its not supposed to paint the full picture. Its supposed to put a £5m deal on a 4 year contract on c£30k a week into context. Any attempt to paint the full picture is going to fall short with so many moving and missing parts.
  39. I agree , start of last season we dropped points in games we could have won early season partially down to keeper letting every other shot in. I always remember a Wimbeldon manager talking about they stayed in top league for so long. ‘Our relegation battle starts in August not 8 games from end of the season’
  40. Agree, at least this season the window of success is much wider than before.
  41. Guessing we've probably got around 90% left of the budget for these remaining pieces.
  42. I personally do think posts/jokes can be offensive. But accept that is not the view of most people. What I do not understand is that if you are part of that majority then getting offended about a post/joke. Also better if all this stays ‘behind the scenes.’
  43. Mental and highly amusing pisspot formerly of this parish
  44. Aye . If youve been in the armed forces , police, paramedic, ICU & Theatres , the darkest of black humour is a coping mechanism and is part of the de-stressing process to keep your sanity hanging by a thread . I remember the in house jokes made about the little girl from Blackpool that choked to death on a grape (for example) . It needed to be done as we were all practically suicidal , the shift had to be finished and the next Blue light was on the way in . From the outside looking in you would have hated every single one of us . If someone made a joke about the Burnden 33 , I wouldnt find it funny , wouldnt laugh , and think what a wanker . But that would be all .
  45. Decent tradesmen are like gold dust nowadays. The ridiculous push towards sixth form and uni has been about for decades along with a massive snobbery towards trades lads. At my school not one representative was sent from BAE, BNFL or any form of trade. Was all about getting your A Levels and getting to uni. I wasted 18 months at sixth form doing my A-Levels. Plumbers and Sparks, builders are kicking on £300 a day round here now easy for bog standard labour only.
  46. He's not the only one to make such jokes. All a bit insensitive, but an "offended" competition is unedefying either way. Problem of modern day discourse- "there's always a tweet" (or others digital platform)
  47. for a bloke who writes so much bollocks, he managed to nail the truth in one line
  48. I quite like it really, feels like a middle ground between friendly and competitive. An EFL Intertoto Cup 😄
