  1. Instead of folk direclty calling Rudy out, folk chose to snipe with cryptic messages, often late at night clearly pissed and pissed off. That's what posters like me couldnt be arsed with. Either call the lad out directly, or dont. Like I said before it was uncomfortable situation. I didnt want to see the lad called out and shown up, it wasnt nice viewing and most people already knew he was a bit of fantasist. It didnt make him the darling of the board, it just wasnt nice to see. Ive had someone in real life have the same issues as him and seen first hand the damage it can cause. I honestly thought it was restricted to here with him, which isnt real life. He obviously overstepped the mark big style in his private life. Grey didnt have to leave, he chose to. Just becasue 1 or 2 posters told him to give it a rest after his late night pot shots, he should have fronted it and probably explained what the fuck he was on about, as most didnt have a clue. Like a bunch of women honestly 🙄

  3. See, I'm a fat lad and if someone called me fat and it upset me, I could try to lose some weight. Not sure there's much black players can do to stop being black. Targeting them because of their colour is racist, end of discussion. It's not off-putting, it's not bantz, it's out and out racism. The banana is as bad as the monkey chants, as the two are intrinsically related. Anyone not seeing this as racist has problems.

  5. I stuck up for him a few times on here, usually after Grey's late-night sniping. If, as it seems, pretty much everything was fabricated then it's a bit twisted. Of course, I was pretty doubtful of some of his claims, but ultimately I didn't see anything offensive and he generally seemed a nice lad. He also posted lots of pictures of tits. In hindsight though, if he was completely making stuff up about the charity giveaway, having cancer, etc, then that really is messed up. If he's doing it purely so people like him then I feel sorry for him and I hope if he has got serious issues then he's doing okay and has a decent support network. Regarding the paedo accusations of Grey, the way I saw it was he was defending him against an accusation that was thrown his way. Now, if it was true then whilst fair play to him for sticking up for him, there was no need for him to ever bring it up in the first place - but I saw it as him finally flipping after weeks of Grey sniping at him .... not that that makes it right. If, however, he's made the entire thing up to a) make himself look the good guy again and b) to sneakily besmirch Grey's name then that crosses a line and is pretty much unforgiveable. Finally though, if he's no longer got this platform to do whatever he did to make his life seem a bit better, I hope he's found something else and that he's ok.

  6. Positives. Fan Zone , was there at 12 , smashed 2 pints of Trotters ( Westcott ipa). Had a kebab from Shumas snacks ,bloody lovely. Spoke to Phil Mason, had a hug off Shazza. Ashburner St had one off Lofty . Onto Hotel - rammed, belting to meet Little Whitt , Mikkey D , the Ant Hill Mob and the legend that is Conrad ( massive reminiscing 30mins right back to Ewood in 79). Jimmy from Belgium in attendance buying copies of The Good The Bad and the Ugly . In the ground , same seat back row , north stand lower ( nice touch from the club , after 20yrs continuous occupancy it's got my initials on it ). Fantastic game ( strangely first half seemed never ending). Wycombe left their shooting boots at home. Great atmosphere . After match back to Fan Zone. Very civilised,Black Edge still on form. Back to hotel at 18.10. JT on form , introduced me to Neil Whatmore and Paul Jones. Met a couple from Dubai ( flown in for the match) directed them to Casa Nostra ( all Pinocheo's Dads suggestions were fully booked).Swedish Met 6 guys from California ( over hear for 10 days kids playing football at the academy and Scotland), they loved the stadium, fans , atmosphere and Stu Holden. SWEDISH Al back in the fold will be on the Stoke to Vale buzz. 21.00 taxi to Howfen. Negatives . NONE !!!

  7. I met him during his time on here back in the day. Seemed just a normal lad. Over the past couple years we swapped a few whats apps etc on the old mental health subject. Seemed like a proper nice lad with a nice little family. He probably is, he just makes stuff up. Not sure why, especially on here ffs. Bit like the lad down the boozer who took ten of em on or shagged 3 birds last night but a bit more on the mental side. My big worry is that it was a cry for help kind of thing, but after speaking to folk in real life it all sounds like hes got some kind of bi polar type thing mixed with narcissistic compulsive lying bollocks. (Reckon Id be a good doctor.) Fuck knows, I just hope he sorts his head out so he doesnt cause any proper damage and he gets himself safe and well. All a bit bonkers really and hard to process.

  12. Ricketts was the best striker in the country for a short spell. Absolute powerhouse that beasted the worlds best defenders after smashing the championship to pieces. As much as I like Bakayoko, the two names should never been mentioned in the same sentence again.

  13. We started it under Anderson but didn't continue it til today. It's exactly what we should be doing, isolate them & don't let them get behind their team. I see Seff Weds have been given the whole end again, over 5k of them & less home fans in Crazy corner, even after the trouble from last year! It's wrong. The gap should be in the South Stand lower & keep them away from the home support, not the other way round!

  14. ok,breaking this down a bit, based on my experience Running a transactional website with a database of around 6000 requires a professionally constructed and securely maintained website. it does, but it runs on a free platform and a site like that should take a few days to knock up at best regards transactions - this would be the most "complicated" aspect, but, from what I can see, the site integrates with paypal, so all they should in theory need to do is set up a paypal account (which is free), and then either get the code required to intergate from within their paypal, or, use a plugin on the website to help do this all transactions should be dealt with via paypal or using a plugin, it's not like this needs a developer to specfiically code this for them e.g. this pluing is free: https://extensions.joomla.org/extension/e-commerce/payment-systems/easy-joomla-paypal/ as it says on that page: No fees associated with Joomla paypal module The fact that you don't need to integrate with any complex payment gateway ensures that it is very simple and cost-effective to use this donation module. In essence, the only fees your Joomla donate button will incur are those imposed through Paypal, but of course, using Paypal is also mitigating a lot of risk for you. see below for securely maintained This includes hosting, as said, looking at their hosting packages, £92 a month should be enough for a site like this domain registration and maintenance, they already owned the domain, it was bought on 16/10/12 even then, it's only going to be something like £10 a year dunno what maintenance means in relation to a domain, they just auto renew if they mean website maintenance, that's all done by automoatic updates, all they have to do is a click buttons and the site does the rest data security and GDPR compliance, SSL certificate you don't actually have to do anything here re: data security and GDPR compliance you just knock up a policy that says "we promise not to sell your data to anyone, or spam you" the data security aspect would be part of the hosting package as should the SSL certificate, they don't cost anything these days for sites like this email, website email should covered by hosting website, they already mentioned that Facebook and Twitter content, preparation and posting. a question of time really, but it doesnt' look like much effort and I doubt their IT guy does it https://www.facebook.com/OfficialBWFCST/ here a post from last week, most of the time, they're just sharing content In addition, we have also added our YouTube channel recently which requires content production and editing you already covered this and we also had to create the facility to hold our AGMs on line which means a professional Zoom subscription and extra technical support to facilitate this. Zoom pro is £120 a year support would cover schedulign a meeting, and sending out invites In order to provide supporter feedback to the club we also conduct regular surveys to inform our discussions with the club and this too is an additional cost. I don't know what they use but survey monkey is free, if they are paying it's £25-£75 a month, but that's for proper pro features I doubt they need so yeah, as said already, someone is taking the piss I'd be amazed if one company/person does all the above and even if they did, I don't think it justifies £14k per year a supporters trust should be able to find folk to do the legwork around content and marketing for peanuts

  16. The lad in question was on here years ago, the bullshit pile rose and rose and he suddenly disappears. Came back recently with a new username and another Walter Mitty personality. It's fucking mental really, surely everyone knows you can't bullshit on the internet anymore, as someone will out you. FWIW, he's probably an OK lad who told a few tall tales, began to enjoy how loads on here hung on his every word, so the lies spiralled to a point where (a) he was getting called to and (b) he probably realised he couldn't keep it up. Mr Gray amongst many of us knew it was BS, but Rudy tried to deflect it by attempting to out Gray as a paedo, which I thought was disgusting personally.

  20. Add to that, Till death us do part. A bigoted bloke being shown up by his daughter and son in law (Tony Booth, father of Cherie Booth) Amazes me that people quote these two programmes as proof of 70’s racism. People who have never seen either have no idea how both programmes changed peoples attitudes.

  21. I've tried to stay quiet on this: each to their own etc. But not anymore. I was more than happy to believe what he said he was. Even despite some personal misgivings. However, given what we now know, he was a fraud. Talk of raising money for charity, etc etc. Yes he may have health issues (mental), but many of us do but don't go around behaving like this. Frankly, he can do one. Rather him not come back with an explanation- wouldn't be able to believe it anyway.

  23. How encouraging was that ! I know their league One but eight changes & conspire to go 1-0 down , in the past we’d be grasping at a draw or praying for penalties This squad has improved so much in such a short space of time it’s the beginning of something special . Think as an owd un you get cynical over the years but heyho that ‘on the way up ‘ feeling is unmistakable , it’s contagious and bears comparison to the early seventies , late seventies & early nineties when the Wanderers were definitely coming up the hill .

  24. For reference, our last game against Salford in the 0-1 away win just in April last year, our bench was as follows: Brockbank, Delfounseo, Delaney, Tutte, Elbouzedi, Miller, Gnahoua Christ what a difference 😂

  25. Ah well, not even that bothered if it was lies, he seemed decent on here when we chatted, and it passed the time. Done no harm to me, if he wants to lie thats upto him. Hope he is ok though, maybe the fake life was what he wanted for himself, dunno.

  27. Wasn't he running some sort of charity thing based on attendances, that his employer was going to give a load of cash for? - what happened there then? I quote liked some of his posts, shame most of it appears to have been bollocks Are we now just back to having @tomskias the token black lad on the forum now?

  28. Surely, even the doubters, must see how important he is to the team when he performs like he did yesterday. With a team performance like that and the obvious individuals taking the limelight, his performance could drop under the radar. He rarely (in fact I can’t remember one error yesterday!) misplaces a pass or gets caught in possession. There were a couple of blocks/tackles/interceptions at 1/2 - 0 up that prevented goalscoring opportunities. He still has a massive part to play in our promotion push.

  31. I think he claimed to have spoken to posters at a variety of games but never said who it was and not one of them came on posting, “Great to bump into Rudy at … yadda yadda yadda.” You’d think they would.

  39. On the flip side to more being reported, we’ve all seen it, this forum being a perfect example. You get some people that’s as soon as they disagree with someone in this type of conversation they scream racist, again it’s seen on all social media platforms talk shows etc. it’s a shame as no doubt some real reports of racism may get missed due to these clowns.

  41. Same as love thy neighbour, the butt of the joke was the racist thicko, much stronger way of showing up racists than someone taking the knee for Floyd… then claiming it wasn’t for Floyd, to save face.

  43. they don't need to take the knee anymore because it's white players who get most abuse online now, so, job done https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/sportsnews/article-11073767/Manchester-United-Cristiano-Ronaldo-Harry-Maguire-received-abuse-Twitter-season.html Cristiano Ronaldo and Harry Maguire received more abuse than any other Premier League players on Twitter last season, with EIGHT from Man United in the top 10 most abused and 68% of stars subject to negative messages so if we say 40% of abuse is at blacks, and as the article says: one in 12 of these attacks (8.6 per cent) targeted a player's race or another protected characteristic. then I'd say taking the knee has worked and now abuse is distributed more fairly well done to all involved
