To be held at the Lever Bridge pub on the above date,start time is 7-30. There will be 8 races plus 1 auction race. To buy a horse will be ?5 and if your horse wins you will win the prize donated by the sponsor. To be a jockey will cost ?1 and the winning jockey in each race will receive a voucher for a free drink. I have sponsors for 6 of the 8 races so I am still looking for another 2. We will also be doing a raffle. Children are welcome to attend,but adults only betting. (the organiser says he has no problems with the parents of children putting bets on for them). As mentioned in another thread we will be raising money for Boltonkidz2gether/BWDFC and Lever Bridge Vets F.C. Anybody wishing to buy a horse or be a jockey please let me know (you can name your horse yourself - but nothing too rude please). I think ive covered everything but any questions just ask.

Excellent performance from all who played today in a friendly against my works team. We had 11 men and no subs against an open age team and went in 4-2 down at half time. On the stroke of half time our keeper dislocated his thumb so had to go off. A battering in the second half you think,not a chance,we came out and fired in 3 quick goals to lead 5-4. A late goal meant we ran out 6-4 victors. TSO went in goals at half time and repelled everything that was thrown at him and kept a clean sheet. The Daubhill Dribbler grabbed a brace and if my memory serves me right both were headers from shots that The Bear had rattled the crossbar with. The Bear put a penalty away and Allwhiteone grabbed a goal,I even chipped in with one too. The only non Wanderers Ways poster to score was Gonch. One downside were injuries to Smiley,Brixton,TSO and our keeper. Once again well done everyone

We have been training on Thursday at Newhouse farm.Its now getting too dark too soon to do that so we are looking for somewhere else. It wont be at premier 5s tho,not at ?46 an hour !

C86 I am organising a race night for the vets football team and we were looking for a local charity/organisation to donate some of the proceeds to. Think weve found the solution. I will let you know further details when Ive sorted it

Everybody did pay,the problem being at the start of each new season they charge ?10 extra as some kind of deposit (what it covers ive not a clue). So total bill for last night was ?39.50

Our first friendly is this sunday (16th) against Breightmet Utd Vets,on Breightmet Utd`s ground,Bury Road (near speed camera/tyre place). Kick off is 11am. Any supporters are more than welcome (there is a bar facility).
