  1. Was ballboy behind the goal in the south stand 03/04. A notable mention to Rogerio Ceni appearing for a random friendly against Sao Paolo in November that season. Liked Paul Robinson best. Gave you the thumbs up everytime you gave him the ball. Went a long way for a 14 year old. Jussi used to get stroppy with me, as I always used to walk round the goal to give it him for a goal kick (as opposed to throwing it over the bar). Best part was being able to throw it to one of Youri or Jay Jay everytime we won a corner tbh.
  2. If we were in Derby’s position we would undoubtedly sell that out.
  3. Seems a waste of a trip given they’ve fallen so far from the 92. We stopped over and my dad got drive-by egged by some young lads at night. Cut his cheek open.
  4. Bigger than Leicester up until they won the league. Reckon they’ve jumped several places in the last decade, above the likes of us, Rovers, Sheff Utd.
  5. Blackburn are marginally bigger than us, although their attendances are embarrassing, and take away the last thirty years, I’d put us above them. A PL and League Cup in that time goes against us. Can’t believe any sane Bolton fan thinks Birmingham are bigger than us. We’re bigger than them in every conceivable way. A lot of theories come down to potential?! Fuck off. Their highest ever finish is 6th. They get less home fans than us in the league above. We’ve had 16 more seasons in the top flight. More PL seasons. 4 FA Cups to 0. Lofthouse, Okocha, Djorkaeff, Anelka, Hierro, Campo, Nakata. Who have they got? Trevor Francis and Bellingham? Smallest football league club in that area (discounting Walsall). Villa, Wolves and West Brom all bigger than them and us. Coventry perhaps bigger than Birmingham too. Not bigger than us though. The only argument Birmingham have over us is cup win a recent times. And a lucky league cup win at that. And if you’re gonna count that against us, Wigan won the FA cup ffs.
  6. Heard it on a 1990 video even. 2:10ish. Phil Parkinson playing for Bury.
  7. Yeah had no idea we sang to that tune once.
  8. Loved Derby singing their own version of this when first heard as a nine year old at Pride Park in 98 (we are Derby, Super Rams). Only recently discovered we sang it a few years ago on an 80’s video I came across. Blew my mind.
  9. We need two good halves of football, which I don’t think we’ve seen for a while. Also need to stop conceding soft goals. It would help massively if Coleman could learn the basics of his position, namely when/when not to come off his line.
  10. Some of those goals are incredible. Could have played up front Gudni. Absolute legend.
  11. We’re not out of this. Can’t get over the fact we’re too easy to beat for a promotion side.
  12. I’m concerned the fans took their criticism too far in the last week without looking at the bigger picture. Yes it happens at all clubs, and maybe players/staff need to avoid looking online. Atmosphere was horrendous Saturday (not unusual of course), but it was notable that I didn’t once hear a chant for Evatt. I get that emotions are running high after two derby losses, but the man has a 51%+ win percentage, has done an awful lot more good than bad, and he’s proven me wrong when we’ve been had the occasional bad run with every season he’s been in charge. I’ve learnt to trust the process with him. The more negativity drags on, not to mention towards the players too, and especially considering we actually won to nil on Saturday, the more I feel we could undo all the progress we've had in the last four years. Some of the comments I’ve seen in Evatt’s direction on Twitter are vile. Quite personal and I’ve no doubt he’s seen them. We have this manager and squad up until the rest of the season regardless. Our best chance of going up is getting behind them. It’s no coincidence our form has taken a downturn since Baxter’s injury either. I’m not blaming Coleman, but Baxter was very solid and the team bred confidence as a result. I feel like Coleman/defence are a bit shaky and lacking coordination, and this is flowing through the rest of the team.
  13. 9+ points in the next four games and I’m gonna drive myself down for this. Can’t imagine I can convince any of the family to go, and doubt we’ll sell out after the last couple of performances, so should be able to dictate whether to go relatively late.
  14. Sound mate I’ve got your number and both tickets. Will give you a text.
  15. He’s already taken one off my brother but if he needs another 😂 📞
  16. Thought he was a class act for this Can’t believe Vale have given him a 5.5 year contract. Not that I think he’s a bad manager at this level.
  17. They haven’t started selling tickets in the home end yet. Word is they don’t want us in their end, but have no way of policing this with it being local.
  18. Fair enough. Come to realise I have hazy memories of the 13/14 & 14/15 seasons.
  19. Weird one. I thought he was distinctly average, and could easily forget he even played for us. Also another ‘WTF were you doing’ signing which added to our financial woes. We already had Bogdan, who Coyle liked, was perfectly capable, and had ousted Jussi. We then went and spent another £1m on Lonergan for “competition”. Was Lonergan no.1 at one point? Presume he was going off appearances but I’ve had a complete mind block over his time with us.
  20. Sold Cahill for £7m to bring in Sordell and Ream for the same amount. Would surely have stood a better chance of staying up by keeping Cahill until the end of the season (and losing him on a free) instead, and therefore pocketed a lot more in PL money. But what do I know. Coyle had never even seen Sordell play. Infuriating.
  21. Ashworth really come on the last couple of games. Better than Williams.
  22. Learnt not to judge Evatt/Markham, but I’ve seen a couple of tweets from Bristol Rovers fans saying Collins wants to be a left winger, but they now play 3-5-2 and he’s tried & failed playing behind a striker. If that is the case I’m confused, but excited all the same and trust we have it right. Great to see the board sanctioning the rumoured fee.
  23. It’s a bit different. Savage used the move closer to home as an excuse to leave. Alfie May went out of his way to find a club closer to home in summer.
  24. I think we could’ve done with a ‘Vela type’ in games like the capitulations against Wigan. Not current Vela though. If he’s not good enough for already relegated Fleetwood, he certainly isn’t good enough for us.
