  1. The townsfolk are extremely fickle and as a result we'll never sell tickets as well as the likes of United, City or Liverpool. Those types of teams can count upon the support of the locals (even United - who do have a lot of Manc fans) and they cna rely upon their reputation as a 'big club' to fill the ground with tourists and coach parties from Wrexham/Dublin/Singapore. Firstly, we need to tackle this apathy that has got this town in a vice like grip. I started to going to the Wanderers in 1993 (as a 7 year old) and from what I recall the ground was never jam packed full on a consistent basis. Big cup games and some of the Championship winning season were sell outs, but by and large we never sold out. The same can be said of the Reebok - and is exemplified by the attendance for the Plovdiv home game. The first european game in the history of this football club, with over a century of tradition, was not a sell out. And while the Plovdiv boys hardly brought 5000 people over, Boltonians could simply not be bothered to come and watch history being made by THEIR club. There will always be supporters who can't afford it or who move away or have work/family to put before the whites. These people aren't the problem - it's the people who CAN go to games yet simply can't be bothered. Bolton as a town needs to fall back in love with football.
  2. MickyD....its a piece of piss, most of its done on the internet nowadays. like a big game of Microsoft Flight Simulator!
  3. That whole Bourgas town centre experience was all rather surreal. We arrived, walked down the street for about 100 yards then had to leave! Was quite handy that, as Nessebar looked to be one of the few places in Bulgaria that was actually quite nice. Kudos to Bulgarian police for taking us to the nice place in their country. This was such a great trip, everything about it was excellent. I was happy to be at the Airport at 4am, I was happy to be sat at the front of the plane (the Viking Airlines one), I was happy to wait an hour for the official travel club to arrive and I was happy that despite not playing too well for 80 minutes, we got the result! The atmosphere on the way to and in the ground was astounding, everyone that went should be really proud that we created such a noise and got behind the team so well. Not since we beat Reading in the Play Off Final have I felt so good leaving a football ground, such a brilliant night! Roll on the next European trip, this is going to be a season to remember! COME ON YOU WHITES!!!!!
