  1. Any mention of why Sheehan was left on the bench? He pulls the strings in our midfield and makes us tick, on his day he’s the best midfielder in this division, we just didn’t look the same without him. Too many players not at it tonight, Forrester, Iredale, Dacres Cogley,Dempsey, Collins and Charles when he came on. When we play well, everyone plays well. When we have half a dozen not cutting it, it all goes tits up.
  2. So obviously a win tonight is required. Although a handsome win would be much better & put pressure on Derby for Saturday. It’s the hope that kills you.
  3. Amen to that - at least you could hear what he was saying & had a sense of humour. Played some good choons ‘n all.
  4. Jones seemed to be struggling last 15 mins on Saturday. Bod appeared to hurt himself swinging a shite shot at goal, he might be ok but he seems to have a history of having pretzel legs. JDC got a knee in the lower back. Santos seems to need a morphine injection before he plays lately.
  5. I still reckon the last touch was by a England player.
  6. ‘The Wanderer’ is fucking embarrassing. I’m not a massive fan of the song, but i’d rather have ‘Tubthumping’ at least it’s got a bit of a pumped up chorus. Or even ‘No more heroes’ by The Stranglers, maybe “You only get what you give” New Radicals. Anything but ‘The Wanderer’
  7. I’d guess the ones struggling to be fit for tonights game are Santos Dacres Cog Bod Get in Jones
  8. Theres quite a large area behind the South stand, i’m sure we could nick some of the car park space. We could trial it by flogging cans at £4.50 a tin & pies/hot dogs for some ridiculous amount like most fanzones do. It doesn’t have to be anything state of the art, just get their money instead of them spending it elsewhere.
  9. Noticed quite a few Pompey supping cans outside Tesco’s & on the path leading to the stadium. Anyone else think we should have some sort of fanzone for the away fans? We could make some decent money when there’s a large following and apart from the Beehive there’s not many places for them to go. I’m thinking Food outlets & a few beer options and there’s plenty of room to rig something up behind the south stand Our club could be having their money & not Tesco/Asda/Beehive.
  10. There’s a sound Pompey lad who moved to the top of Halliwell years ago, everytime we play them up here he invites about 20 lads up & they stay in a local hotel. They seem a decent bunch to be fair.
  11. There’s no harm in him ffs. Met him in the Newcome Arms in Portsmouth years ago, the only offensive thing about him is his odour.
  12. Kind of enjoyed watching that Wycombe game in a weird sort of way.
  13. Derby should be winning 0-2 in truth. Wycombe are making a bit of a fist of it so far though tbf.
  14. No doubt we’ll get pelters for not giving Pompey more of an allocation if we can only sell a few dozen in the South Stand. I know £30 is expensive for 3rd tier football, but i thought there would be a decent home crowd in there.
  15. Aye Derby 0pts Stevenage 1pt Reading 3pts Bristol R 3pts
  16. 15 points from our last 10 games is hardly “bang in form”
  17. Not many home seats sold in the south lower so far. £30 a pop doesn’t help,
  18. Very cute. He sort of ‘engineered’ that penalty. Very experienced crafty old player is CJ
  19. Fuck The Gas. Onwards & upwards.
  20. 0 wins in the last 5 games for Bristol Rovers and 0 goals scored. No doubt they’ll play like Real Mafuckindrid tomorrow. COYFWM we can do this.
  21. It’s madness. Can’t think of many other business that makes it such hard work to make a purchase. I read a story last week where some neutral lads tried to buy tickets for our game v Reading, they found it so difficult they ended up giving up and went to Blackburns game instead.
  22. It’s bloody hard work for the “occasional supporter” to buy tickets these days. Remember back in the day when 4 mates having a beer in town could just say “fancy going to the match today?” Walk down to Burnden, pay on the day - job done.
  23. You are of course correct PW, it was indeed Stoke & not Port Vale. It was a while ago to be fair.
