  1. The foil on drinks cartons - when trying to peel them off and the small bit of foil that isn't stuck down so you can get hold of it rips off and leaves the rest intact. Easy solution just to get a knife to it, but still highly annoying.
  2. What time does it finish tonight? Delayed by work and only just setting off so it better not be 11.
  3. I cannot possibly bring myself to watch this match. Can't stand either side, but hate QPR that little bit more so hope West Ham win. Hopefully both will go down this season. But they won't.
  4. See nothing wrong with what the lad has said here. It's Eddie Davies' money, you'd like to think he's had a word with Phil and Owen. Today was all possesion and no end product. I'm. thinking we will need to recall Petrov soonish. And chungy.
  5. Was only watching the footage of this on YouTube last night. Fookin awesome. I don't care if its the world cup final, take that you cnut! According to the clubs official site there are going to be two "reveals" at either side of the Nat statue. Whatever a reveal is. You can see the first tomorrow night in some do at the Lion of Vienna suite. http://www.bwfc.co.uk/news/article/first-lofthouse-reveal-to-be-unveiled-18.9.12-373807.aspx
  6. They had a do with the Aberdeen lot a few months before we went didn't they? Their fans fighting between themselves and throwing coins at us weren't much better. Speaking to someone about this at work the other day. Telling them the police pretty much had a pop at us for no reason in Madrid. To this day I can't understand why a cracking day had to be spoiled by them dirty pricks.
  7. Bogdan Alonso Knight Mills Mears Andrews Spearing Chung Petrov Eagles K.Davies Eagles just behind Davies as he did a few times towards the end of last season. Chung and Petrov to give us a bit of pace and width. Andrews and Spearing to work their bollocks off in midfield. We should keep the same back four for consistency, but Coyle will probably pick names out of a hat on the coach down. Brum 2-3 Bolton. Eagles, Davies, Andrews. Ricky Otto double for them.
  8. The fans have been given the opportunity to contribute, but with a date being set now for its unveiling I'm pretty sure the club will make up the rest as the time gets close. There was only something like 20 grand raised not so long since, so I doubt at the current rate the full amount will have been raised in 12 months just through fan contributions alone.
  9. Horwich beer festival starts today as well.
  10. According to SSN he's turning us down and heading off to Stoke now. Three in a minute!
  11. We're only four places behind Dortmund! At least we're ahead of stoke. Wasn't there some crazy stat about us having the lowest losing ratio in Europe? Suppose two defeats in 18 isn't bad. And one of them was thrown by Megson!
  12. Playing with 10 men would be a bit cocky! 2-1. Sordell and Eagles screamer from range. Ian Woan for them.
  13. Whilst its an almighty tempting deal, its a bit of a gamble paying for rooms when sky could still yet shift fixtures around. Do they have some cancellations policy or allow you to alter your booking? Speaking of travel arrangements, virgin trains sell tickets 13 weeks in advance. By my reckoning, Brighton will be 13 weeks away on Saturday. Might be worth a look at the weekend. Sky don't look to be showing it. Don't know if BBC show the championship now those darling hammers aren't there. I think its a safe bet for Saturday 3pm.
  14. Can't find it anywhere on any of the BBC channels this week. Unless they're just doing an online version.
  15. Football League show is on iPlayer if you want to watch some nice long-ish highlights. And we're on first. Wow.
  16. I'm not the type for knee jerk reactions, but today was utterly woeful. It's one thing being outplayed by better players (which Burnley do NOT have) but being outfought is unforgivable. And that is very much what coyle is paid to hammer into them.
  17. I thought it was pretty decent, not as good as I was expecting but I suppose it was never going to be. The bit about the dentist had me pissing myself.
  18. Own goal from a Petrov cross and sordell header.
  19. Was very impressed with Mears. I think Andrews will give the midfield the bit of bite it needs. Petrov should piss the championship. Sordell and Afobe look like a promising partnership. Definitely more positives than negatives tonight. Mark Davies did hid usual disappearing act though. And beer has gone up 10p. Bastards.
  20. That Bert Le Clos fella (dad of the South African swimmer) is piss funny!
  21. Seeing as you mentioned David Jack, here's something I read a few months ago: http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/David_Jack In 1928, with Bolton in financial trouble, he was signed by Herbert Chapman's Arsenal for £10,890 (nearly double the previous record); famously, Chapman negotiated the transfer with Bolton's representatives in a hotel bar, his tactic being to drink gin and tonics without any gin in them, while letting the otherside drink as much as they possibly could. Chapman remained sober while the Bolton representatives got very drunk, and managed to haggle down the feetoa price he considered a bargain. Cheeky bastards! I've seen that written somewhere before, not just the ever reliable Wikipedia.
  22. When you're in busy town centres and there's dozy fuckers staring down at their phone and dawdling down the pavement holding you up. I work in Manchester and the pavements are full of them when I'm on my dinner. Walking into you because they're too busy arsing about on Facebook rather than looking where they're going. Feel like punching them in the back of the head.
  23. Like West Ham needed their ego inflated any more.
  24. Friggin hell, they've done a good job here. Forget all that jazzy stuff China did, this is spectacular yet has a bit of meaning to it as well. Our history.
