I do think there are plenty you have paid kids prices thinking even of kid only goes a few games sure mates will be able to sneak in on it and can use it if we fancy an away trip.

We go to the away games and we have two old fuckers, one mid 20s, one late teens and one mid teens. Only the mid 20s wears anything other than Adidas. (One of the oldies is a teacher so fits your point) . I would guess at an average away game Adidas dominate footwear in the young and old. My step lad wears non adidas but he has massive feet and they shoes/trainers are fucking enormous. I should point out that the choice of trainer is not an enforced rule 😎😂. Just what we choose to wear and it has become part of the away day chat, the youngest either approving the elders choice of footwear or not. I did not realise that NB was having a surge but I am pretty sure in 2-3 years Adidas will still be the leading brand as they are genuine classics, reading the article you linked it also points out the boom in 'foam mule market' which are basically crocs. Another trend I am happy to pass me by.

I am not 60 till next year so am fine 👍 What else do you wear ? I have some wellies and boots for walking dog, work shoes (not worn for a while as work became casual dress since lock down) . A pair of canvassy things that are ok but then all trainers.

We have renewed, but did think about it for first time in ages. We renewed last year even though youth was meant to be moving abroad with work. i drive to every home game which is not usually a problem but would be nice to have the option every so often to have a few beers. Just make we have a few at away games. Few things IMO might be affecting sales 1 think they have tightened up on people using junior tickets 2 Speculation over kick off times next season and number of televised games. 3 Demand for away tickets has meant that buying a Junior ticket for very occasional use but ok for away tickets has been a waste this year. Be interesting to know what split of sales is between full price and concessions this year. The kick off times is the big one, especially if games are going to be on telly. Takes us usually between 75 and 90 minutes to get over. We leave before 1 for a 3 o'clock kick off. Get home half 6/ 7 . Move everything forward by 2.5 hours for 12:30 kick offs means leaving home at 10:30, or back the same for 5:30 kick offs getting home for about 9. It is just a pain especially when weather or M62 is shit ! Tempting to just say fuck it and put the telly on.

Bolty you and I agree on very little, but on trainers we have common ground. New Balance are worn by geography teachers and people who spend weekends comparing prices in carpet shops even when they do not need any carpet. Adidas are classics pure and simple.

Not sure either are defendable.

I have no interest is standing at home games but sure for plenty it will be a good idea and certainly will do more for atmosphere than worrying about what music we play Crack on, would piss me off if it meant me moving seats but tackle that if it happens.

Right you have sent me into a you tube hunt ! Must not have been play offs, their bloke fouled Branagan (or maybe another keeper) but he had the ball. Mr Keeper pushed the attacker and ref (think it was Lynch) gave the pen. This is a clear memory in my mind, am now doubting if it was even West Brom.

He did a BWDSA event at the Moat House and was OK. i asked about the penalty he gave against Branagan at play off game v West Brom, he said it was a shit decision, but that got me to go away which I think was his main objective.
