If Southgate thought it was bad with a few plastic beer cups after the last match….

Way more of a yellow than most of the yellows he’s given

“England fans can’t believe what they’re seen so far.” Yes they can

This is very fair. There will always be people who are literally never happy whatever happens. I genuinely wouldn't have minded the last 2 draws if the performances in the matches had been better. I know that we've qualified, but I would have liked to have some sign in those matches that we might have a chance of breaking down better teams when we come up against them in the knockouts. How many real chances have we created in the 3 matches?

That's fair enough. I probably am being too critical of him. I just think that perhaps the hype is a bit much given how he's actually been playing since Christmas.

Bellingham has had half a good season in an ok league. But he certainly isn’t doing enough for England to justify pushing probably our most naturally gifted player out of their preferred position. Talk about square pegs in round holes. One of the later formations from last night probably involved 3/4 players in their best positions. For me the best managers are willing to make the brave decisions even if that means dropping some of the “best” players for the benefit of the team. It’s fine if you pick 11 great players and they happen to gel, but when that isn’t happening you have to try something different. Simply bringing on like for like replacements in the same formation isn’t going to make any difference. As we’ve seen for the last 3 matches.

Stones has spent 2 years stepping into midfield for one of the best club sides we’ve ever seen. Did he even touch the ball tonight. Playing with 4 at the back and 2 in front of them was just ridiculous. We basically had no misfield.

I had 6 football mad 12 year olds here to watch the match. They spent the second half in the garden. Good decision.

Is exactly what I just said to my mate. Would have loved to see him given a chance tomorrow.

You’d be gutted not to get the penalty but should never have come to that. You’re clean through. Go and score instead of trying to earn yourself a penalty

I get that. But no need to go on national media and tell everyone you think you're doing great and deserve a bit of a holiday. Totally understand that you probably won't be running hard yards that day (although plenty could) but I reckon there are things they could have been doing to try and improve the situation.

Just heard Kane say that the England team were given the whole day off the day after the Denmark match to spend with the families. Apparently because we’ve done so well 😳

Eriksen and Hjoberg have both been extremely poor this season. And yet they completely dominated the midfield tonight. That’s just embarrassing

Thought Guéhi and Saka did ok. But every other player was lazy, complacent and arrogant. Kane strolling round the pitch for a second match was an absolute disgrace.

Stayed up to watch. That just shows what pressure can do to you. Undoubtedly the biggest choke in the history of sport by McIlroy and his caddie. Poor guy

Yesterday was just one part of a truly terrible football week for me. - My 14 year old daughter and 3 of her mates “released” by her grassroots team after 8 season because the coach suddenly thinks he’s Pep. It was her life. She’s in pieces - Lost a league play off final with my 12 year old son’s team on Thursday night against a team coached by some of the most horrible people I’ve ever met - Not only lost yesterday but had both kids in tears because of a bunch pissed up twats embarrassing themselves right in front of us and getting thrown out by the police - Just got home from losing cup final with my son’s team against the same horrible bastards we lost to on Thursday Someone remind me why I like football?

With 10 minutes to go we had a corner. Our corner taker strolled over like we were 2-0 up. And our defenders walked slower than I could possibly imagine from the halfway line to get into the box. Couldn’t believe what I was watching. Just weird

Is exactly how I saw it too. Even when players were completely open out wide we kept trying to force it to Sheehan time and time again. The fact that Oxford were playing so many in that central area should and did mean there were people free elsewhere. We just chose not to use them.

I’ve heard a few people saying that it was the midfield’s fault that the defence had no-one to pass to because they were hiding. Well how about our captain demanding they stop hiding? Or our manager hooking them sooner for players who actually want the ball?

Can anyone name me a worse performance by any football team ever?
