I'll be meeting up with quite a few more yoof down in Stoke so we can all get tw?tted together. It will be the first time at Stoke but from what I hear, we may well bump into a few of them up for it
For your safety, I hope your joking.

Whilst Megson is unsure of his best pairing, it has to be an opening for Shittu tomorrow.
Megson was very clear in his reasoning for not allowing Shittu to leave that he would have a part to play between then and the end of the season. Stoke away has to be the place for a Shittu appearance.
Delap is back from his ban and our old man Mr Faye is returning too, so Stoke's aerial bombardment is back to full strength. In a choice between slap head, big nose and thunder thighs to partner Cahill tomorrow, there is one clear choice.
Horses for causes my friends.

good call yatsey, there a big and physical set of lads down the britannia both on and off the field.
settle down my old mate - thats twice you have agreed with me in the last 5 minutes!!

-
we'd have lost 8-1 every week
borgetti was aluxury we couldn't afford
anelka had lost his way so badly he only scored 14 in 39 for fenerbache
My gran could notch against half of the teams in the Turkish top division.

gotta love our website, went on to see about stoke tickets, this is what greeted me!

makes me f?ckin sick.
They'll be selling United memorabilia on the clubs eBay site next
Totty - did you get sorted with a lift tomorrow?
-
Apparently it only hurts the first time!
Same for women taking it up the rear passage for the first time - I assume you speak from experience here?

James Martin "Jim" McDonagh (born 6 October 1952 in Rotherham, England), nicknamed Seamus, is currently goalkeeping coach at Aston Villa, having previously held the same position at Coventry City.
WanderersWays never fails to amaze me (nutting head against wall icon)

Fcuk me - two years on and I finally have some posters agreeing about The Borg.
This was as much the point I raised with the Anelka thread as Anelka not-scoring himself. Given the run of games Anelka had in the team, the six-yard box poacher that was The Borg, would have snatched many a goal.
Could have been an interesting front three that Anelka, Davies and Borgetti.
-
Back to the thread, I can't see pay-on-the-door being allowed as Stoke are close to selling out

Hit him, hit him hard.
Post a photo of his injuries or you're barred.
Give him a little longer:

Really don't think either was that bad for us and wanted to keep Candela at the time but he p*ssed off back to Udinese or whoever it was. Seen as I'm on a role, I'm gona go for Whitlow and Chalton in the centre.
Wonder how many yellow/red cards Davies would get if he did play at right back.
Whitlow and Charlton in the centre?
Davies at right back?
Has your morning brew been spiked?

I can see nothing in your little fit of pique which refutes my suggestion that Elmander has not had a prolonged enough run to be judged. If owt, I think you might be agreeing with me. If this is the case, I will need the smelling salts.
Can't be arsed trawling back through archives to prove/disprove anything you said about Anelka. My recollection is that it was along the lines of your more recent flight of fantasy regarding patience with SKD.
You were clearly right about Anelka. His abject failure at Chelsea is a case in point. A shadow of his former self

No part of my post was related to Elmander. For what it is worth, the lad keeps picking up an injury when he looks settled and in form.
As for Anelka, he should always be thankful for the 'punt' BSA took on him. He had lost his way in Turkey and could have gone the way of a few other great players who hit the graveyard too early. We got his hunger back (eventually!!!), we reeped the benefit for a far too short a period and now obviously Chelsea are.

Just been discussing Jussi's shite kicking on Sunday which led on to our keeper scoring against Burnley in the 80's, was it in Jim Mcdonagh?
His kicking was shite too.
He missed another few that day - one he even kicked over the Burnley bar!
-
shite or not shite
it was absolute bollocks
little bolton pay 8 million for a world class striker and drop him
aye, thats why you're counting beans
See, you have fallen to the chinese whispers and passing of time too.
Anelka came to us a shadow of his former self having lost his way in Turkey.
After 14 games for Bolton he had 1 goal in a league cup tie.
Hindsight is great friend and ofcourse, now we look back and praise the fact that the flood gates opened once he got that first league goal.
But at the time of my posts on Anelka he had gone 13 league games without a goal.
Hope that your request for assistance in bean counting was benefical

I see your point, but I don't think it's a good thing to continually change a defensive 4, especially the 2 centre backs. I think Megson needs to pick Cahill plus 1 and stick with that - building an understanding is half the job with a centre back pair and that won't happen if we keep changing them.
Fully agree, for me tomorrow the temptation is Cahill + Shittu.
Its horses for causes and Shittu is the man tomorrow - especially if Delap is back from suspension.
-
Steinsson was turned inside out by Jonas, a good job his delivery didn't match his approach.
Surely you are not saying that the defensive duties of Steinsson are questionable? Wash your mouth out.
The Steinsson-blinkered-mob on here think he is the best right back we have ever had.
-
You're not the only one. Yatesy reckoned Anelka was a sh1t striker.
Modern society is to blame. Instant gratification. Folk can't even give a new player a while to acclimatise and gel with his new team.
Elmander will hit a hot streak. He just needs to string a good few games together.
Its like chinese whispers with the passing of time.
For the record, I dont think that I ever said Anelka was shite. I questioned how long you keep faith with a striker who isn't scoring goals. I went on to mention that the likes of The Borg would have given his right leg for a run of 13 consecutive league games - and one thing for sure, he wouldn't have gone without a goal during that run.
I think you will struggle to find a post of mine where I called Anelka shite.
Ofcourse, those with time to kill can now search through the archieves and prove me wrong

On the subject of the best centre back, I am slightly tempted to play Shittu at Stoke.
His last appearance at Arsenal was outstanding and his strong physical play will be needed tomorrow.

Keep calm

Andy Hurst

now, now - don't get me started on Super Kev.
Mind you, you could always ask him yourself by seeing him at his local boozer - booth number 8 in Panacea

Draw will suffice.
If we win though, I reckon we will motor through the rest of the season to finish 7th and be cheering United on to an FA Cup Final success to give us the 3rd Europa League place for next season.

Two more questionable foreign signings by BSA that lead to those disastrous final 7 months and his exit.
You really have to give Megson credit for the way he has transformed the club and playing squad since taking over. But there again, many don't see it.
