Bovril is my favoured hangover drink. I buy the plastic pots (just add water) to remind me of the Burnden Park days.
Nowt wrong with a little nostalgia matey. I recently came into possession of my grandmothers hand written recipe for flat cake. Think of her each time I eat a slice.

Psychology dudes will know if that means owt.
Don't need to go that deep. Some blokes prefer Bovril.

Did you see Napoli may have pulled it out of the bag signing Gabri Veiga.
Yes mate. I get a bit of a WhatsApp running commentary from one of the cousins.
The general feeling is that they won't repeat this coming season but, if you know any Napoli fans, you would expect this. Pessimistic based on decades of disappointment. I think they will be thereabouts but probably will fall short.
As a betting man, if forced to bet on who will win it this time around, I'd probably back Inter with a saver on Juventus.

Tune?
Lyrics are OK, just needs something catchy/anthemic.
Sort of fits the "Year of 58, the merry month of May" tune. White Noise needs to work on something for the "na-na-na-naaa" bit or just leave it in there and ditch the bullfighting bollocks.

Find myself expecting us to win our next 3 league matches. Need to snap out of it. Times like this you get burned.
Will be delighted when we do mind

So, you reckon that it might sting a bit?
I can imagine that it would make your eyes water and prompt a few "dear me's".

Watched the first two 'Special Ops; Lioness'. Keep expecting a bald Demi Moore to appear but not bad overall.

Spot on. When Liverpool announce they’ve won 1 league title in their history, I’ll start listening to goal scoring records etc.
Some English fans really let us down when it comes to their aloofness towards other leagues. I hate Bayern. It’s a great move though. He gets a change of scenery. Upgrade on teammates. Likely more money. Trophies. Fantastic city. Great weather.
But Malcolm from Burnley thinks it’s a farmers league 😂
Which has produced the champions of Europe 8 times? I suppose I should have tuned out at 'Burnley'.

The Aussies beat England ladies in a friendly not too long ago. The first (maybe only?) team to beat us since the manager took the job.
Hope it's not an owomen.

Great start to the season. Hopefully the 10 match assessment deadline we set will make for some fine reading.
Now then, this terrible pre season we had..
Wrist Slashers Anonymous must be desperately seeking another catalyst.

Went to Nigeria game and loads of Aussies in crowd supporting Nigeria so they can get to fuck.
And hopefully they will on Wednesday.
I will watch the next England game. First game I will have bothered with. Seen enough news snippets to realise that the goalkeepers are still fucking atrocious.
All the Aussies we know around here were sticking it to us yesterday with "Come on Colombia" etc. We are used to it. I have not forgotten tens of thousands in Wallaby shirts wearing France baseball caps at the RWC semi final between us and the frogs.
Not really arsed about women's football (but delighted that females everywhere seem to be highly enthused about the world game these days. Good luck to them) but this is different. Win to shut the fuckers up or it will be unbearable here for a while. The fuckers still sing (out of tune of course) about the 3-1 friendly win under 'unaware' Sven.
"Matilda's" now shortened to 'the Tillies'. Not sure which label is worse. Not keen on any of these Americanised labels but at least 'Lionesses' conjures up some sort of aggressive intent. "The Tillies'? Shitting ourselves.

Love the things. Make them all the time.
Given to me by the chef (from Blackpool) at the Britannia Cafe in Cannington (now defunct). Food of the gods - protein and fibre as well as deliciousness.
McKenzies Dried Peas – 375g bags (cost around $1-50 each) or alternative brand (Spicy, Gelagotis etc.).
3 bags makes around 6 take away containers full. Mushy peas are good freshly cooked but even better after freezing.
Empty peas into a soaking container. You need 20g (about 1.5 tablespoons) of Bicarbonate of Soda for each bag of peas. Cover peas with water (at least 2 inches over top to allow for swelling) and soak for 24 hours. Check after 12 hours that water level is still above peas and top up if necessary.
After 24 hours, rinse all peas in a colander under tap. Place in pan and cover with cold water (about an inch over the top this time). Bring to boil (you may want to skim off the discoloured froth which forms – not compulsory), cover and simmer on low heat for around 40 mins to 1 hour giving regular stirs. Crushing a few with a spoon or ladle once they are simmering seems to speed up the whole process.
You’ll know when they are done!

Welcome back! COYWM.
Cheers mate. Reminded me of a 3-0 home win against Bournemouth with Amazing Jim at the helm for the first time in a league game. Let's hope we have the same end of season finishing position!

Just back into civilisation. Great to read up on our good start. One swallow does not a summer make etc. but you can't ask for more than that in our first outing.

I thought he'd gone for good, sadly not. Although, I guess perfect for GB News, they'll be able to use this situation to show how there is an agenda against GB News and it's presenters, and their gammony viewers will absolutely lap it up (the same people, who a few weeks ago wanted Huw Edwards taken off air and arrested etc)
I just asked Eggs about this. She quite likes him. I watched one of his shows last week in 'Trump fanboy' stylee after hearing the anti Wooton bleaters on here - i.e. I must grow to like him on the basis of who he upsets. Can't say I was all that impressed - much better watching Sir Nigel, JRM etc. Might try again when I get back.
This is my last word for at least a couple of weeks. Off in the early hours of tomorrow in a big, fuck off, diesel fume billowing 4WD to an off grid paradise of 30C winter sun with no internet, no phones, no newspapers etc. Will be in and out of range at certain junctures hoping to hear that the Manchester weather did not allow the underarm bowling, sandpaper sneaking cheats to hold on to what is rightfully ours.

Farage, man of the people, crying because he can't be part of a highly exclusive bank.
An account stuffed full of money taken happily from his role as MEP. Defended vigorously by Poor people, who are likely poorer because of some of his influence.
Shakespeare would be proud of the tragic irony of this particular play.
Crying? You must be another member of the blind idiot club on here?
Performing a public service after unearthing a true scandal through ill treatment meted out to him personally. In the long run it will be unarguable that he was instrumental in bringing about a change in law which a true injustice in a so called democratic nation is eradicated. For the good of all. Not just himself but those across the entire political spectrum plus poor sods who work in cash related fields.
Just more senseless remainia from a loser.

I've expressed similar sentiments on here (I think in conversation with @bolty58). The Matilda's have a much better chance than the Socceroos (nicknames used as I know they wind some folk up). Just checked one site and Australia are 6th favourite so not unrealistic that they could have a good run.
Dost thou mean me squire? you are right. They are wank. Just be 'Australia' FFS. More unnecessary Americanisation.
As for the event itself, if it raises the standing of 'wogball' then all well and good. Might find myself watching a game if England reach the final or play Australia at some stage. Far more interested in contemplating what might happen in England, Italy, Portugal and the Netherlands in the coming season. Even without the Millie Bright armband virtue signalling you would have needed the University of Nebraska's microptic autocollimated microscope to locate my interest in this competition. The virtue signalling makes it even less of an attraction for me.

Just look at the posts after this. Brush over it. Nothing to see here. They must be embarrassed.
There will be a price to pay by Coutts/NatWest and probably a few other bamks too once this has all been thoroughly investigated.

Tra-la-la..................not biting cuntybollocks. Very happy indeed this morning. Flags of St. George draped from my balcony just to remind the now Spain supporting neighbours of their misfortune.
All of a sudden the sports section of the local news will be all aerial ping pong again. I just hope (and actually believe) that Australia's success in getting as far as they did will ignite more passion for the world game down here.
There will always be the 'wogball' numpties who actually are frightened of the world game swamping their minority codes and will cook up anything they can think of to try to stunt the growth.
