  1. Got the Port Vale 1973 if you want it ...saw the referee Keith Styles get pole-axed by two large thugs at the end of the game , possibly because he allowed too much injury time as JB equalised late on Got ambushed myself that day had to resort to the 'Ali shuffle ' to get out of trouble.
  2. Lennon would be my choice over Hughton , but I can't see Gartside appointing someone with real testicles....so it could be another crap appointment .Maybe Mowbray would be a compromise ie one testicle & lots of good championship experience. ...& not another shortarse......Mowbray for me then!!
  3. Never been overly impressed with Garside without Going into detail but at the end of the day he is Eddie's mouthpiece & any protest against Garside is really a protest against Davies .Fortunately the protest was pathetic in the extreme which will be brushed off accordingly. However Gartside/Davies can't afford another divisive character which for me rules out Lennon & Mackay .I think Mowbray would be the best choice.
  4. The biggest problem yesterday was defending our left flank it was the same story against Derby with Childs bombing on past Chung Lee like he was' nt there as yesterday with Francis (top player by the way) Ream is not the worst but needs more protection than he gets left side midfield is our weakest area & despite better overall performance yesterday we need a left sider that can tackle.
  5. Ok temerity ........been having a mini celebration Long road ahead folks cant fuck this next appointment up
  6. Garside is showing his arse to the BN because they did'nt tow the line on the court case when basically they won on technical knockout but were as culpable as sin & the newspaper had the teremity to print the truth ....
  7. He's dead in the water just needs fishing out .Plan B is well underway but Garside & Eddie need to get this one right.........last time there was three in the frame Davis (Billy) Mick McCarthy & Mr Deluded now there's hopefully more choice but possibly less quality ......that's why they arn't rushing maybe someone is about to become available
  8. Hate to put a spoke in but he's definitely a chopper
  9. Garvan got to be an improvement on the Spearing Medo combo for Christ sake..Halford a dirty barsteward so at least he can take some retribution when things get physical.
  10. As long we bring in a couple ie someone capable of holding the ball up & someone else to pass the ball forward more than two yards I 'll be happy
  11. Got to go ....cannot imagine any sort of motivation he can impart to the team given his intelligble tactical plans which seem to change from game to game ........in a nutshell a dellusional man whose ego is killing our club The key question is can someone out there do more with the players we have?...I think the answer is yes.....but who ?
  12. Where is Vela? must be injured not played for the under 21's recently .Eaves also 'missing' Could they be in the naughty corner vacated by Tyone Mears??
  13. If Mills is crocked then we have a problem although that problem will only be worsened by the 'fans' giving Knight stick , I will give him my 100% support until the close season & then volunteer to drive him to any destination he chooses, although obviously not Philadelphia.
  14. Good luck Colin , best ever season to be a Wanderers fan .Scoring goals for fun & only four defeats all season My two mates at the time wanted Toddy sacked after relegation but they still refused to give him credit after our record breaking season ........their line was it was all down to the players , self management then !! Needless to say neither of these two tossers go down to watch the team anymore.
  15. We are totally fucked away games at Doncaster Millwall Charlton & Yeovil will see to that plus we have some tough games at home including three derby games but never mind our delusional manager is confident as usual although he has stopped mentioning the playoffs The clock is ticking the games are diminishing & I fear itd already too late with the players confidence at an all time low The right person coming in Now could still save the day but I can't imagine us having enough cash To secure a manager of that calibre.
  16. Freedman has to go we can still stay up if the powers that be grab the nettle his negativity has drained every ounce of confidence from the players , that's why he keeps rolling the script bringing new loanees that then succumb to the same fate as his chopping & changing drain positivity away. Why was Danns not picked to play today ? his energy & general enthusiasm have been on of the few bright features of recent home games.............as for the substitution of Davies for Medo with more that 20 minutes to go well that was a true deja vu moment (Megsons last game) . I've tried my very best to see the 'bigger picture ' in dougievision but eighteen months on all I can envisage is Division 1 Garside bite the bullet give him the heavho put Jimmy Phillips in charge to the end of the season .............he cant do any worse !!
  17. Super John for heart and devilment Djorkief for pure quality Gundi for leadership and scary eyes Frankie for his goal at Blackburn John B for his cool rounding of goalies Peter Thompson for masterful wing play Roy Greaves for his loyalty Campo because he was a great player Andy Walker who could find space in a phone box Freddie Hill because he was God.
  18. No place to hide if you weren't a skin you were Bolton. ....we got ambushed at the station as well happy days!
  19. Anyone remember Watford away 1969 ish 'who threw that fakkin can!' on the Rookery end
  20. Embankment early days then Lever End (ding) then Burnden paddock open bit nearest Lever End
  21. 1963 low point 1972 high point 1978 high point Aldershot nadir Reading high as a kite up down up down shake it all about Allianz Stadium Muchen ....its a long way from Feetams down & maybe down again( with that clown in charge ) nevertheless, been with them all the way & into the next climb. Does it feel like the Eighties? wish It did I'd be still shaking my pants down.
  22. No it does'nt but you can still ignore advise that you are paying for & waste £4.5 million on a muppet
  23. Ive read it very entertaining indeed , very funny in places with good insight into the megson era the book is called 'Scouting For Moyes' but it is really scouting for megson (must have selected the Moyes title for sales reasons because he hardly features in the book) Bsically its the ups & downs of being a scout with stories of futile trips to watch the wrong player playing for the wrong team at the wrong time. Padfield really was not impressed with Zat Knight & told Megson that for a bloke 6ft 7inches tall he was unimpressed that he never won any headers in the opponents penelty area especially from corners. He also advised against Danny Shittu & was amazed we paid nearly £2 million for him. Its a pretty good read if your a whites fan with a few veiled comments about the rot setting in after Allardyce.
