  2. The Scum are well joyous this morning as they have moved above us. Now they are talking about winning the league. Sad really, but it shows how far the Wanderers have come when they get excited about moving up the league and being 'In front' of the mighty Whites.
  3. You can no longer link to offsite pictures. Why? Some pictures were bursting the template of the forum and making it difficult for some with smaller monitors to view the threads. Please go to your profile and select 'Avatar' and make your choice from there. *Note there is a drop dowm menu of BWFC, Fun and Football to choose from. My Avatar isn't listed, can I have my own? Yes, send me the url and I will upload it and reduce it in size.

  13. From my time at Rivals Barry Knight-mare By Happy Wanderer Date: 24/1/2001 Barry Knight the most disliked person in Bolton, well for all those faithful fans that go to the Reebok. This is an outline of the games between Bolton and Ipswich, but more about the standards of the second tie at Portman Road. A brief history of the dislike. The said referee allegedly played a part in the demise of the Wanderers in last seasons play offs against Ipswich Town at Portman Road. At the Reebok Stadium the 1st leg of the play off (14/5/00) was a tight affair with the Wanderers taking a 2-0 lead, letting this slip to 2 goals from Stewart. With the game balanced at 2-2, this set up a tense 2nd leg for the trip to Suffolk Mr. Styles refereed the 1st leg and was mostly invisible during the game with Paul Warhurst being the only causality of the yellow card syndrome. Now for the return leg (17/5/00) The game swung both ways, with the Wanderers taking an early lead with Dean Holdsworth netting after only 5 minutes. Magilton made it level for Ipswich but Dean Holdsworth put the Wanderers back in front again. Stewart scored his 3 goal in the play offs, and brought Ipswich level yet again, and for the 3rd time the Wanderers lead again on 49 minutes, this time Allan Johnston, who was at that time on loan from Sunderland. With a minute left of the 90 Magilton scored his second goal to force extra time. Ipswich finished off the game by scoring 2 more goals from Clapham and Reuser. Mr. Knight showed 7 yellow cards and 2 red all pointed at the White shirts of Bolton, with none going the other way, even though the game got very tense with a lot of misbehaving to say the least. Later after an enquiry by the Football League, charges were brought against Magilton and he to received a caution.
