I'd rather have seen Uruguay qualify than Australia.
At least football means something in Uruguay, whereas in Australia it's way down the list after Rugby, Cricket, Aussie rules and interfering with marsupials
Grandad got a leg full of shrapnel at Tobruk, his brother dead in his parachute before he hit the ground at Arnhem - 19 years old. Another uncle lost a leg at El Alemein.
Oh aye dead jealous.
I know someone who has been on Countdown and I'm going to let you into a little secret that might shock you all.
Are you sitting down?
Not only did the girl Vorderman punch my cousin for staring at her tits, she uses a calculator to get her answers.
Before you do have you checked with your mortgage company that they will lend with only the small survey ? (assume you have).
Is it really not worth the ??300 or so extra to know your house is structurally sound ?
Any work you do once you are in will cost you a lot more.
I know that but the company who did our original one are doing a full structural for ??240, I think the mortgage company were taking the piss at ??700.
It was an above ground one - which I'm guessing means they don't go rooting under the floorboards and stuff. Maybe the ??700 quid one they get their miner's helmest on and go underground.
Just rang the people who did the original one 5 years ago and they told us they'd do one for ??240 plus VAT. We'd still have to pay ??190 for the mortgage people to do a valuation but even so, its till cheaper than ??700.
Do we need to check what's going on below ground level?
Bought a house 5 years ago and the structural survey was ??150. I'm moving and have been told by the mortgage people that a structural survey will now cost nigh on ??700.
What the feck's that about? Am I being robbed?
Listening to Scummy as I type. Tis, indeed quality.
And look here comes a Ford Mondeo
Isn't he Mister Inconspicuous
And he don't even have to say 'owt
She's in a stance ready to get picked up
And she's delighted when she sees him
Pulling in and giving her the eye
Because she must be ragging freezing
Scantily clad beneath the clear night sky
She don't stop in the winter, no and...
I once worked in Peterhead for a summer.
Everybody was a fisherman or oil worker and they got paid on Thursdays so Thursday night was like the wild west. If you went into town on Friday lunchtime and every other bloke had a black eye.
