The bidder revealed themselves last night to support the adjournment.

The adjournment was needed to give Ken the full two weeks before his shares are called in. They can now call the shares in before he allows the club to go in to liquidation.

Ken was very prepared to not contest the hearing today and work to the 7 day deadline in a bid to force the hand of the bidding party to up their offer to a ridiculous level. In the end he kind of won because he gets his £2M, the 14 days is to stop him messing about.

As of yesterday morning I don’t believe he had arranged any representation at the hearing.

He all but predicted this latest development

And if you now look back through his posts, you'll probably find some speculation but he's on the money far more times than anybody else

That’s fine. But you’re from a position of knowing who he is Casino, through a PM.

Until I know further, regarding his background and motives, I’ll reserve judgement

Wonder if Iles has started his second coat or is still waiting for the first coat to dry yet?

Club is on its arse, deal falling through... but let’s have a pop at a local journo prob on less than £30k a year having some annual leave.

Just for clarity purposes, there has always been a second bidder who was doing a deal direct with Moonshift, I mentioned this last weekend I believe, Basran maybe doesn’t know that yet.

You know but Basran doesn’t 😂

  5. Not a clue about insolvency or business in particular.... but say whilst under the petition from HMRC, Ken emptied the bank account, could it then be frozen, hence the lack of direct debit payments?

I imagine that Basran has somebody lined up, somebody from the Cheshire set though probably.

As I understand it - two options on the table in takeover. 🔸A straightforward sale. 🔸Eddie's family exercise option to commandeer KA's shares as loan in default, then sell to a buyer. Second option sounds messier. But I'm no expert. #bwfc

Remember you heard it hear first. Marc Iles is no expert. Better to leave it to Bonnar then Marc, eh? Got an MBA from Harvard hasn't he? Or have I got him mixed up with Sam Allardyce?

maybe, just maybe new buyer has said "dont pay anyone, let them leave and we will buy the club with no wage bill and start from ground up" ???

I’d say it’s more likely Ken is continuing with his brinksmanship, and trying to get the best possible deal for himself with the two parties.

  9. People seem to get more wound up about McGinlay giving some sound bites to a radio station than the fact we might be unable to fulfill a fixture this weekend.

I certainly won’t be going to Super John for financial or business advice, but I’m much more concerned about what “King Ken” is up to at the moment.

I've backed Ken to the hilt?
Really? I'd love to see examples/proof.

More a case of being somewhat grateful he was just about managing to keep us afloat, having arrived on the day we were due to be liquidated when nobody else including the Trust would/could pull us back from the precipice.

Has he got it all right? No.
Has he got it all wrong? No.

I just think the money has finally run out and he hasn't got the ability to keep the plates spinning any more.

Agree to an extent Traf... but it will be interesting to see what Ken has done whilst in charge that has potentially hindered a sale of the club as well.

Anyone known if it’s true that if we going into admin, accounts for this year won’t get published?

  11. I’ve been told by someone I trust that the buyer walked away on Saturday, having uncovered another £5 million worth of liabilities whilst doing their due diligence.

  12. I’m intrigued by Iles silence on this. I’m not a basher of his, but it’s unusual he’s not all over this story even on social media.

LoV seem to be indicating some news due at 9am tomorrow.

    Ken 1

    Ben 0

You really think that? BEN now have national media tweeting about it, more clicks more ads. Majority of Iles stories except match report he can do from home. It’s pathetic tit for tat by both, but locally and nationally, bar this website, people will be on the side of the BEN.

I’m bored with the whole thing tbh. I agree Iles has and agenda to a point but don’t trust Ken at all.

Story is PFA search on club shows outstanding Winding Up petition from the American Front Row Marketing (Which KA previously has said as already been dealt with).

Because the PFA found this they've pulled the offer until this issue resolved.

However it could be something as simple as an administrative oversight by someone simply not amending the Petition from 'open' to 'closed', in which case their loan back on again.

Wouldn't it have been better for all concerned if Iles had waited to see if this was simply a non story first before rushing on to his personal Twitter again to stir the pot (and the twitter anti-Anderson's) once more?

The loan could be back on again by first thing tomorrow after all.

    https://www.theboltonnews.co.uk/sport/17291327.bolton-face-salary-crisis-after-hitch-with-pfa-bail-out-loan/

He’s a journalist not the clubs PR man. He doesn’t report it and someone else reports it he’d get accused by some for knowing fuck all. Unfortunately nowadays that sort of information won’t wait until tomorrow morning.

  15. Most of my city fan mates are now unbearable, uttering the same phrases that the DMB’s did in the 90’s

    They’ve become what they hated

Absolutely true. Can’t stand them almost as much as the DMBs.

  16. Can everyone put their toys back in the pram now?

Honestly feel like turning my season ticket in.

Not because of the owners, but having to stand shoulder to shoulder with the biggest bunch of melodramatic, moaning fucking imbelciles that any club in this country has ever seen.

You really don’t deserve a football club.

All this should have been kept in house. But yet again that cunt Marc Iles couldn’t wait to get it to print.

The wages and bonuses have / will paid and Ben Amos has caused a caffuffle. That’s the story.

The players have behaved like nob heads sticking up for their mate.

Get a grip you bunch of fucking tarts.

Wouldn’t last a day in real world.

Come on Gonzo, agree with a lot of what you write but you expect Iles not to report the players going on strike with a game the following day where fans are going to travel up!?

  17. Loved Dubrovnik!!

For anyone going or thinking of going my recommendations are:

    • Stay in a hotel out of the centre (Orasac, Cavtat, or if you want to be close one of those in the bay rather than in the centre itself)
    • Cable car ride definitely worth it - decent bar/restaurant at the top
    • GOT tour waste of time (so we were told) - we saw all the main points just walking around
    • Bars in the centre are really good - prices on a par with Manc City Centre so not bad but don't expect cheap
    • If you're staying outside the centre don't bother going in until after about 4pm - the cruise ships leaving makes a massive difference
    • Food is nowt special - pretty much the same in every restaurant - best was at a place at the bottom of the steps that they used in GOT for the "shame" scene - massive prawns - can't remember it's name but you'd know which one by the fact that everyone orders the same dish - it's scampi on the menu
    • The local wine is superb - went for the Sauvignon Blanc most of the time. Beer is nowt special just OK
    • Montenegro is a good day trip. Absolutely stunning scenery - like a mix between the Norwegian fjords and the Austrian Alps
    • Croatian people are ace. Very, very friendly
Downsides? It's fucking hot and very humid and the mozzies bite like fuck so take plenty of repellent. Also, the Chinese have invested heavily in the area so there's half of Beijing there at any time and they have the manners and graces of the Ruskies - no concept of the fact that you might be asking someone a question, they'll just barge you out of the way

All over, one of the best holidays I've been on

Oh and take time to learn about the history of Yugoslavia and the subsequent disintegration of the state - really interesting to hear it from the locals' point of view and I was amazed how little bitterness there was about it all

Getting married in the Old Town on 1st September this year.... love the place!
