Had some great times at Burnden, but that night. Honestly hairs standing up on the back of my neck thinking about it. It was an absolute bear pit.
Best atmosphere EVER in my Burnden days.

I'm biased because I've met him and he's the nicest bloke in the world and I also love his music, but Chris Helme's new album is fucking brilliant.
Loving his new album. Totally different from what I’d normally listen to, but after 3-4 spins it’s a real grower. Light years away from his Seahorses material.

Watching a Notts band called Express Office Portico tonight, its the launch party for their new EP.
Only downside is their singer quit yesterday.
Sounds almost the same as what happened with The Crooks. Thankfully they’ve reformed since.

Yep, another one for Bren! Brilliant acting. Some of his one-liners are fuckin’ comedy gold.

Last minute decision to go watching The Bootleg Beatles at Buxton Opera House last night. Great band, stunning old venue. Total sell out but emailed the box office asking if they had any returns. Bingo, got one the day before. Audience was a bit like the extras from Cocoon, but hey ho, once I’d had a couple of 0% lagers and a bag of Maltesers I was rocking!

In the old days there was a night crew and a day crew. I did not have Internet at home so could post during day. Others only had access at night.
Get in in a morning and there would be loads to read through at work.
Haha, correct. I wasted hours at work, literally hours and hours, laughing my tits off and doing no work.

The Iron Claw any good?

I’ve had my own business for 21 years, and remember being on Rivals in the office whilst working in my last full time job…. I’d say early 2000s, but not quite 25 years.

Tickets booked for Dandy Warhols and Black Angels double header at Ritz in October
Never seen the former
If they both stick to their solid hits that promises to be a great gig
should have said. Quite fancy this myself.

There was one fella on there, dsmiley. Bit of a tool.

Also read that Gene Simmons and Paul Stanley had already bought out the rights to Kiss from Ace Frehley and Peter Criss many many years ago…. So that means the new deal pays out to only them leaving Frehley & Criss without an extra cent from this new deal. Don’t know if they will throw a few dollars their way, or just say “bad luck fellas”.

Very impressive finish today from Collins. Come in for plenty of stick but I really could see Charles missing that one today.
-
Read that Kiss have sold all their rights for 300 million. Think the plan will be to reproduce the ABBA Voyage experience for them. I could probably only name 2 songs of theirs. Are they really that big?

Finished KIN last week. Need something new. Do we bother with Coma or is it a bit dogshit?
Wife been recommended Love/Hate. Anyone on here watched it?

Listened to the pre-album release songs on Spotify, yet to listen to the full album. Had Ride’s new LP on loop yesterday whilst out on a run. Not groundbreaking – but easy enough listen.

Right you have sent me into a you tube hunt !
Must not have been play offs, their bloke fouled Branagan (or maybe another keeper) but he had the ball. Mr Keeper pushed the attacker and ref (think it was Lynch) gave the pen.
This is a clear memory in my mind, am now doubting if it was even West Brom.
Was at that game at The Hawthorns, was on a Sunday. Not play-offs.
(sorry, just seen the other 3 pages!!)

So still fading away but its gonna need some exercise to move it on, i think
Just keep going!

Having heard him on Undr The Cosh, reckon I’d probably really enjoy seeing Kevin Lynch (the ref). Tells a great story.

I might have been once or twice back in the day. Closed down years ago - must be at least 10 years or so now. Some belting birds in there
We used to “frequent” the website in our office at the time, but none of us had the balls to actually visit. Always remember the site had some top drawer girls on there. Just Googled it and apparently the bloke who put the site together for Sandys also got sent down!

You would think with it sharing an island with a huge tourist destination, that the world ‘might’ have a vested interest in it calming down.
-
Whatever happened to “George” and his punting stories? And more so what happened to Sandys? Did anyone ever go? Read that it finally got closed down after a huge surveillance op.

Night and Day cafe in Manchester finally won its battle with the apartments next door (built after the venue) – over the noise, etc.
Roll on The Crooks in May!!

Will 99% be going to see him in Bowdon/Altrincham in October. Seen him a couple of times as a support act when he did mainly Seahorses stuff (which I love). Be interesting to see him mix Seahorses and his new album up.
