Chasing the Scream is the best I've read in a long time. Very thought provoking. There's a couple of podcast with the author worth listening to as well.

I was looking for the book thread but seems apt here. Great book about the war on drugs... Chasing the Scream

Holy Cow curry sauces are good, you can get them at Booths or Amazon Prime.
Lots elfier than takeaway but plenty of flavour.

Looking for some advice. Father in law has found a caravan he wants to buy. It's a pretty big tower. He wants to buy it and stick it on a site. Any suggestions with a couple of hours or so max really.

In should be a criminal offence to criticise Sams time here but his actions since make it easier.
It is OK Sam claiming he had all these great players lined up. Some of which will be true. But when given a bit of money at Newcastle he went out and spent £6m on Alan Smith. At every club he has been at his story afterwards is how if he had been backed he would have signed certain players (Luca Modric is the Newcastle Drogba).
What happened at Bolton when he was here in terms of players, results and the whole journey was brilliant. He was innovative and exciting. But he has never replicated that success.
I said when left it was a bad day for us and would be for him in the long term. If you could be arsed to go back plenty of idiots on here were glad to see him go.
I dont think Allardyce, or his bank balance, have ever looked back.

I see the Bahrain group is now being spoke about on the Wiggin forum 😄 should get their hopes up for a week or so

Surely the EFL must intervene at this stage

At what point do HMRC issue a winding up petition?

Always a Kenneth doing the dodgy dealings

Wonder when the King of Bahrain will have a sniff

Sounds wonderful? Sounds close to home

Hopefully someone at the Club stops this theft of their assets.
Ps. It looks shit anyway

Apologies for a thread that just adds to the doom and gloom. But need some out of the box thinking, and you lot are mental.
So, wife’s Aunty died last week (not CV) and the funeral is next week.
They can have 12 people at the funeral because of CV. It’s awful.
Problem we have is that no flowers are available, it’s just impossible to get them.
Any ideas what we can make/buy as an alternative? It’s going to be an awfully basic affair without something.
Be imaginative
One of my staffs Mums funeral is tomorrow. Theyve been capped to 10 people. Been told no flowers and no donation box. Sorry to heap on more potentially bad news. Shit times indeed.

Hi mate, thanks for all the info you've been putting on here. Its been really helpful.
Just a question, why are you going from 10 deaths rather than the first? Apologies if you've already explained this. Cheers
Because statistics can be used to tell any story you want it to

If that’s the case (and it also reads that way from the gov.uk release), then Boris has made a right mess of that announcement. You’ve got businesses messaging staff saying they’re closing down for 3 weeks when that isn’t the intention of the restrictions.
The announcement was ambiguous but to infer from it that you should close shop for the best part of a month without waiting for clarity is ridiculous.

Burnham's tweeted hes spoke to No 10 now and everyone can go to work afterall.

Is it? Does "essential" mean "essential to the well-being of the public" or "essential to your own life"?
It means essential to travel to work. Can you work from home? If the answer is yes, it isnt absolutely necessary or essential to travel to work. If you cant work from home, it will be necessary to travel to work. It isnt anything to do with "essential" jobs that were referenced for childcare and schooling but as someone as already alluded to, the ambiguity is purposeful I think.

That’s not a theory. It’s the truth
China already accounts for 1/3 of global manufacturing.

I was in Kunshan first week of January. Convinced now that I already had this virus as the flu and cough i had was unbearable, cut the trip short. Plus i got rinsed £3,900 on Nanjing Rd which didn't help. Anyway, long term pain for British manufacturing is my concern now
